OMG...you mentioned the bird and I immediately began tearing up. I remember that moment like it was yesterday. I remember the hope and promise of a country I thought was possible, but never believed I would see. Bernie had--and still has--the vision we need. I have never trusted an elected official as much as I trust him and I likely never will. A big part of me wishes I could live in Vermont just know what it feels like to be represented by someone who actually puts the interests of the people front and center consistently.

The actions of the DNC in 2016 were inexcusable and the current leadership is now even more shortsighted as the influence of large corporate money from the pharmaceutical industry and military industrial complex continues to dismantle the party. Recently, extensive Zogby polling for the 50-state electoral college indicates clearly that our current incumbent democratic candidate for President can not win the 2024 election. As I see the situation, there are only two options:
1). Mandate emergency Federal Ranked Choice Voting to ensure the integrity of our representative Democracy in the upcoming elections.
2). Replace the incumbent candidate with a populist Independent candidate who can heal the divide in our Nation and restore our Democratic Republic.
I admire Senator Sanders so much. Never been to Vermont but I sure wish we had a Bernie down here in TX! I was watching his speech the night the little bird landed on his podium. What a moment from heaven-all of us needed the hope that sweet bird and Bernie gave us. So fitting that it visited Bernie. I wish you many more years of good health and a strong mind. OMG...you mentioned the bird and I immediately began tearing up. I remember that moment like it was yesterday. I remember the hope and promise of a country I thought was possible, but never believed I would see. Bernie had--and still has--the vision we need. I have never trusted an elected official as much as I trust him and I likely never will. A big part of me wishes I could live in Vermont just know what it feels like to be represented by someone who actually puts the interests of the people front and center consistently.
My car still has the Bernie 2016 bumper sticker. I have the bird sticker I bought as soon as they came out. That was an incredible minute as the bird listened to Bernie’s thoughts! A warm and friendly moment.
