I totally agree with Mr Varoufakis - Mr Albanese, I look at you in the face and I too say shame on you as you have had nothing to do with the releasing of Julian Assange!!!!!!! Thank you Mr Varoufakis.
Thanks, Yanis, for clarifying that, while it is incredibly good news that Julian Assange is now _almost_ free, this was not without a terrible price. The fact that the condition for his release was to accept criminality by 'admitting' publicly that he broke a US law and served 5 years in a high security prison for (not to mention 7 in the Ecuadorean embassy and 2 years before that under something like house arrest), means that every journalist anywhere in the world is now liable for such a nightmarish unjust legal procedure and life long criminalisation if they publish anything the US disapproves of. History will ensure lasting shame on the US regime and its minions in governments and media organisations all over the world because of this sordid mockery of legal procedure.
_History will ensure lasting shame_ Unless, of course, anyone who dares publish anything about it gets accused of espionage and of jeopardising the lives of CIA operatives in a secret court by a Grand Jury in Virginia.
@@janb3641 Because the USA never recognised the international criminal court. And per agreement, the ICC is only responsible for countries that recognise it. Accusations have been made, but there is no way to enforce prosecution. In addition, the USA have passed a law that, if any USAmerican citizen were to be taken to court in Den Haag, the USA would have to declare war on Denmark. Obviously violating international law that way, but with no way to prosecute. The only other option would be for the UN to sanction the USA. This would require the UN Security Council to pass a resolution. However, the USA have a permanent seat on the UNSC that allows them to veto any proposed resolution, so nobody even tries.

On behalf of all who struggle day in and day out to maintain our right to be free, thank you Julian, and welcome back, you are a true hero.

It's all a shame, the whole 13 (even enough?) years of prison. I fully agree with Yanis (and also Julian), that Julian was not guilty of anything. The Americans and their NATO (plus wanna-be NATO)members have shown that freedom of speech is just a phrase. not anything that any government is really seeking to reach. Shame on US, there is no reason why Julian should have been prosecuted in the first place. Even more shame on UK to imprison him for no legal reason. Shame on Sweden because they made that (unlawfully) possible. Shame on all of "us": we did not enough to get him freee. Anyhow, I am very glad that Julian is free, eventhough he had to plea guilta for something.
So happy and thank you for your wonderful and continued support Yanis. And thank you for calling out all the cowards who didn't support Julian. And thank you for raising the awareness of David McBride.

Yanis you are a pebble cast upon the ocean of Decency, Care and Hope so thank You for your unfailing efforts..

Yannis has a _lot_ more invaluable influence for good in the world today than a pebble.
@@reasontruthandlogic A mountain.
Thank you Julian Assange and thank you Yanis
_History will ensure lasting shame_
Unless, of course, anyone who dares publish anything about it gets accused of espionage and of jeopardising the lives of CIA operatives in a secret court by a Grand Jury in Virginia.
Excellently put, if I may say so.
I still don’t know why the US has not been taken to court for its war crimes…
I live in Sweden and love it here because I think that it's one of the humanitarian societies that still exist on this globe! It is incomprehensive to me why the judiciary system sunk to low when it came to Julian Assange! What am I missing?
thank you for your continued support of assange and other political prisoners...
This is the best analysis I’ve heard yet on the disgraceful and corrupt conduct of the US Government & prosecutors, the UK Government and its Courts, & Australian Governments in the Assange case. Praise to all those who stood loud & firm in support of Assange.
Thank you very much Yanis !!!!❤
He speaks Truth to Power.
Outstanding Yanis!! Thank you!!
Thank you yanis for your amazing speech for free journalism
Don't forget the spanish journalist illegally in prison in Poland and the dozens murdered by Israel
PABLO GONZÁLEZ. Imprissoned in Poland without sound charges. No one speaks out fir him😢
unless youre a person who claims immigration is bad for the UK, then youre a traitor to youre country and should be put in jail, or worse. right??
yanis has any supporters how, precisely? defend this
@@andreasekler5313Well, now is the time to speak up and speak up for PABLO GONZALEZ. Please explain who Pablo is? And what it is claimed he has done to warrant being locked up in Poland? I pray all true people with good morals and decency who are wrongfully treated have justice and are free to live in peace and free to speak their truths 🙏👍
@@Tracey-zr5do You may find the story published in many sources. I would recommend LA BASE DE DATOS in the Spanish CANAL RED, with a daily show on Spanish and global issues. Pablo González is a Spanish-Russian journalist. He was arrested in Poland more than 2 years ago, under suspicion of spionage, with no proof. Just due to his double nationality (Russian). He was working for Spanish media. He has been held in jail, no charges, no trial, no proves of any real wrondoing. The Spanish government, member of the anti-Russia, pro-Ukraine UE, has done nothing in favour of it citizen, just visiting him, once in a while, by means of minor diplomats of the Spanish embassy in Poland. You may search and update they story in the web

Oh Man. You are wonderful. Have hated the wishy, often nasty, ignorant press coming out of our Australian media about this. Thank you for being smart, precise, too the point XXXXXX
He has now landed in Australia as a HERO...It was announced on the news that the
Australian Government paid for his flight however they will have to be reimbursed, so yes huge crowd funding will be on the way hopefully by everyone around the world not just us here in Australia.
It's always so great to see your videos, you are so inspiring. UK and USA govts are disgraceful and shameful. I am so happy he's home.
wonderful news, I hope that Julian will recover from this trauma and enjoy the rest of his life with his family
Thanks Yanis. 100% agree.
Absolutely 💯 the hope should never give up !!!
Thank you so much Mr Varoufakis, and every one else who stood up, marched, demonstrated, communicated with their government representatives, and more, for all you have done, for attaining the freedom of Julian Assange and showing the world just how corrupt the USA and UK governments and legal systems are. Julian Assange is innocent, and must now be pardoned as he did not commit any crime.
Thank you yanis and all the people who helped Julian get free and from now on I say we should say and demand freedom for David McBride!
I don't always agree 100% with Varoufakis. More like 90%, I mean, I still hold the same political beliefs in general. But I can certainly get 100% behind this speech. Bravo for telling the undiluted truth!
Thank you for this insightful analysis of Assange’s victimisation & how his support was split using the same tactics that were later used on Corbyn.
Welcome home Julian ❤
So happy on Julian’s release, so happy!

Yannis your courage and straight forward attitude is inspiring!
I must confess that the
news of Assange's release filled my eyes with tears of Joy,.
I wish Julian, his family and his loved ones a long life full of happiness, laughter and prosperity.
Julian Assange you will always be in our prayers.
May the eternal wrath of God always be on those who caused you and your family so much suffering.
I believe a big portion of the global population should nominate him for the nobel peace award for going through a rough ride that confirms the freedom of speech to us all. He represents our struggles to maintain our freedoms, and we thank him for his struggle to reveal wrong doings by certain entities that believe they are above the law, and can cast the constitution aside, and satisfy their own plans at the cost of freedom of speech. Julian is free, and has allowed us to enjoy a glimpse of that freedom to which we have a right to. On behalf of all who struggle day in and day out to maintain our right to be free, thank you Julian, and welcome back, you are a true hero.
I thought of you Yanis, as soon as I heard the news yesterday.
I searched and only just found this.
I do not know why he has to fly to Guam? Its not over until his forced admission is quoshed and he is safe in Australia.
It all sounds very dodgy, playing on his sincerity.
The British government is complicit as you know, just another US lap-dog.
It's fabulous that he's out of that hell-hole prison.
Thank you for being his friend 🙏
Thanks again Mr Yanis for your great analysis and information on Julian Assange.
Julian Assange = A hero of Freedom Of Speech. Yanis Varoufakus = a hero of freedom & a good friend . Shame on the UK, US, Swedish & Australian Govs for mistreating a human being for telling the truth & standing up for the rights of journalism.,
It makes no difference to anyone whatever the plea, in the eyes of the world Julian Assange committed no crime 🎉🎉🎉
My Heart is at peace and sending 💕 and Healing to Julian and Stella
❤❤❤great news❤❤❤
Thank you yanis
Thank you!
BRAVO 👍 HUMAN SPIRIT 👍👏🎉
