    Nice video. Beautiful scenery. I have to say though, you never peal bark from a living tree. It's a huge leave no trace principle. White Birch trees are especially at risk. Thanks

    I have a jet boil, but I saw this stove in the store the other day and haven't been able to get it out of my mind. After watching this, I am going to get it. THANK YOU for taking the time to show me how to use it. Loved the vid. Very calming.

    I know I am a latecomer to the Firebox but I have one on order. In the past I used many different stoves but ended up with the Firebox for a number of reasons. I learned one can bake and simmer with it and it is a fast boil. Also as I reflected on the infrastructure necessary to produce and deliver a petroleum product for a canister or liquid petroleum stove this made far more environmental sense. Your videos have taught me a lot and I look forward to practice time with the stove.

    I have my original gen 1 firebox and have been following Steve almost since the very beginning and one of the original members of stove aholics on Facebook I have been one of the original backers on Kickstarter with the Gen 2 full size firebox and also the nano and I've given five nanos away as gifts because I personally believe that these are one of the single greatest inventions of my life time which may sound cheesy but I genuinely believe this I believe that these products are built for generations and I don't see that for most products nowadays I see that this is such a versatile product that can be used in so many different facets and I am glad to see that individuals like you get to benefit from a great design and use it in such a beautiful environment

    Thanks for this gear review that has the benefit of time, reflection and usage. You brought out a few features I wasn't aware. As for myself, I opted for the smaller and lighter Firebox Nano, but it works in much the same way, with side fuel ports for a less fiddly experience, which matters all the more on the smaller model. Love those Firebox stoves.

    1) Your fire stick works better than mine, where can I purchase, please?
    2) A bit of water (even just 1/4 inch) on the bottom of your metal cup will help prevent 'burn' to the cup.
    3). How much does the Firebox weigh? Two pounds?
    By the way, instant coffee is great! I use it too.

    • @highlandtrekker
      @highlandtrekker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can't really comment on the Titanium, I've never owned one but I can tell you the stainless is not a light weight stove but is built like a tank. I also can say that Steve at Firebox is very serious about the products he sells and does extensive testing before releasing it to the public...I would trust his products no matter which one you decide to go with.
