I will say this. 2022 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited (FLHTK). I treated the bike with Ceramic coating back in October before a long run to the Big Bend in Texas. On the way home I stopped for fuel. Pulled up to fuel pump, put jiffy stand down and got off bike. I did not realize the stand was not locked in and the jiffy stand kicked out and my bike came down crashing into the painted steel post that was positioned at the corner of the fuel pump. I picked my bike up and placed it back on the jiffy stand. I looked it over and I had a huge scuff mark on the fairing by the driving light on the left side. I was disgusted and heartbroken. It had transferred blue paint from the post onto my Gunship Gray paint. I broke out my ceramic detailer and sprayed it on the scuff. Got a rag and the blue paint wiped right off. Not even the slightest scratch is visible on my fairing. I am a believer in ceramic coatings. I'm sure you can scratch a treated surface with something sharp and hard enough. But I can tell you that there certainly is a good degree of protection. I'm a believer. I believe if the painted surface was not treated that the outcome would be different.
Fantastic!! Yep I've seen it do amazing things also, as long as you have the mindset of "expect the worse, hope for the best" it rarely disappointments. I'm sincerely glad your Harley came out of that scratch free!
Not sure why you got so many dislikes relative to the likes. Ceramic coating is just an upgraded version of Wax, it will never provide the level of protection that PPF does. The comparison is essentially between a Chemical barrier and a Physical barrier. Physical barrier is always better.
Currently considering ceramic coating.. the main two in consideration is Kubebond and Ceremic pro and Kisho... Ceremic pro being the more expensive... Would you have any experience with these brands to recommend
Bought a 2017 corvette grand Sport and it's black. It looks perfect from 5 feet away, but shining a light on it, shows all the swirls. I'm thinking I'll have the paint corrected and have a ceramic coating put on it. I do the two bucket system and use good products and quality microfibre clothes. Looks like coating is the answer for me
would it protect against tinnnny dust scratching? for example, if i put on a car cover everyday that is generally clean to the naked eye, would tiny dust particles that inevitably get on the cover scratch the car when putting it on and taking off?
Daniel Wolfe it is more likely the abrasion from taking the cover off and putting it on that is causing the scratches than the dust. Some coatings offer more abrasion resistance than others. Crystal Serum Ultra for instance would likely help protect against that.
I had to give you thumbs up simply for answering the question in 30 seconds so we didn't have to wait the entire 5 minutes of the video... thank you
I watched this 2 years late.. everybody thought this shit was starch proof and water proof this shit ass
