You have obviously never washed a coated car. You just rinse it with a pressure washer for 3 minutes and you are done. Not to mention that you preserve the original paint of the car.
Hi there I am a pro detailer from Australia. I love your videos keep up the good work. I also use Gtechniq great company to deal with. Can I please get some info what you used for the floor checkered blue and white. I want to do the same and how much costed you fir an area of 5.5m by 7.5m. Your time is much appreciated. Cheers, Adem
Hey, nice vid. What happens when the lifetime of ceramic coating ends (scratches, spots with no coat...)? You have to either sand it down or use a chemical way to remove the coat which results in not worth going for ceramic way. Remember, youre sticking something permanently to the clear coat, its like using glue - it may work well and last longer than a good sealant or wax but from time to time the layer will have to be stripped.
If spending $100-$200 for the Ceramic Coating and then another 4200 to have it Put on?( ClayBar and CC) and it won't be harder than having Mcquires Wax or Any Paste Wax or even Sealant on it? Then time for a Class Action ..and get the Products banned in the USA
See reply below to Alejandro. This is the biggest issue with these products and I could never condone "sanding" an otherwise beautifully maintained vehicle unless you were repainting the car.
Need a help in my country they are selling 5 layer coating 7 layer coating as gold & diamond packages. How many layer does it really take to give really good look and good protection?
@@AngusPimentil I have to disagree. I asked the same question on another TH-cam and the response was not even rubbing compound, just a liquid polish is good enough. Can never image "sanding" my whole car and would never use a product that requires it. Yes ceramic lasts longer than wax or sealant but partial or damaging removal before adding a new treatment every 2 years is a huge unresolved issue.
Why does everyone say "easier cleaning"? Easier because you need to limit the types of soaps you use? No need to wax I love as well. Instead, I am limited to a $40 bottle of a "booster" product that does the same thing as the coating. No trying different products no more.
My car has been coated for 2 years. After the coating was applied I found P&S beadmaker and now I apply that every 2-3 car washes and that’s it. Before the coating I would have to wax every few washes and then I would polish it every 4-5 months and that takes a lot of time. The time I spend now is about an hour on the whole car. Much simpler and easier upkeep
Don`t worry, the coating will disappear by itself. It degrades and gets worn out after a time period. You are already taking off a micron or a few microns when you are correcting the paint ( clear coat ). The coating is just a solid shield that has a thickness under 0.5 micron. The clear coat thickness varies from 70-150 microns depending on the manufacturer. As soon as you use a abrasive polish compound you are taking a small part of the clear coat away. Nothing to worry about.
Glad I saw this... I was wondering what happens after the ceramic coat fades off. Thanks!!
I thoroughly explain the limitations of ceramic coatings prior to selling. They are great but like everything, they have limitations.
I am not sold on coatings. They require just much care and maintenance as a non-coated car.

I have also have a same question.
What about putting a ceramic coating on top of Paint Protection film like XPEL ULTIMATE? Can that be done and if so what are the benefits?
jose09841 won't adhere to the film will come off when it rains
Just drop some cash into a paper shredder instead.
It can be done
how do you correct a scratch on ceramic coated car? tnx

Thank you how many times a year do I use it I live in Florida and I will wash by hand and do I use a wax soap or will it hurt it
Use a ph neutral car wash soap for best results
Tunnel washes will damage any car. It is no worse on a ceramic coated car, it is just as bad...

Easier because the dirt comes off easier. Bugs, tar, sap and bird poop come off easier.

True
But are ceramic coat more or less scratch resistant than the clear coat alone?
More scratch resistant to wash induced swirl marks, which are very very shallow scratches, deep scratches they cannot resist.
Great video, keep up dumping content
Is it true when it's time to remove the coating it takes some of the clear coat as well

he's trying so hard to constrain himself to be rude on the BS from others coating market
That M3 is fit!
The driver as well? 😏
👍😁
Ceramic coatings do nothing apart from making your car easier to wash....just the same as a quality wax or sealant.
Ceramic coat, always, If you like your car.
