every in-my-head build right now is probably pointless with so much partial information but i can't wait to look back on this 3 weeks from now and think "holy this guy is a fukin idiot"
Chronomancer seems incredibly versatile just for the reset cooldown node. Just use all skills that are cooldown based which are typically stronger than no cd skills, and rotate, reset cooldown, repeat. Cooldown still not over? Freeze time!
During the gameplay yesterday, I also saw the mercernary use ballista totems, so it´s possible he´ll get something similar to "answered call" but for ranged we´ll see. Anyway, I am definitely looking forward to your interesting non-meta builds in PoE2 when it´s released. I always enjoy those :)
I think the life remnants from bloodmage required node might be underrated as mana remnants is a persistent skill weve seen and it gives you flat mana but can also overcharge your mana to double its maximum. So life remnants just clearing a map and going to the boss having double life and having that all as bonus crit. This mostly depends on how long its overcharged for and how fast of a fall off.
Agree on the passive damage thing, I think Minions/DoTs and Totems will be king early on, then we will see how the meta shifts when people figure things out
the "strong mana/int shell" sounds valid, dont get me wrong, but i'd rather have my Chonk be CI MoM Darkness with Grasp of the Void and no ES bc seeing a single unprotected Life point on my left side of the screen is gonna make me feel funny
Decimating strike is good.. and will make boss fights take less time, but if you don't have the mechanical skill and/or character power to kill them at 100% HP, then you aren't going to at 70-75% HP either. If you do have the skill/power though, it saves time. I expect people selling boss kills will try to build around this node.
If I had to guess Chronomancer will be for boss fighting. Like PoM Arcane mages in WoW vanilla(Blow all the CDs) with triggered time rewind for survival.
I am surprised there was no gemling legionnaire mention on the list. Adaptive capabilities would allow you to scale one attribute and gain access to every gem. This can be potentially invaluable given we can only have one of each support gem equipped at any time in poe2, as well as this giving access to a wider range of skill gems you can use. Poe2 really looks to be trying to incentivize the player to use skills together for maximum benefit so gemling legionnaire can probably capitalize on this the most out of every ascendancy in EA.
Yeah gemling is what I'm starting. Looks sick and straight forward to build into. Every thing on that ascendancy tree is just good shit any build can benefit from.
i agree but thats why i wont be starting it due to it having the most theorycrafting potential behind it imo... i want to experience the more out there ascendancies first then tinker with gemling once more thought has been put into it
Ah yes, the fundamentally classic "JungMasterBaiter 9000 Pr0 Edition". Truly a marvelous conjecture of cutting edge technology, cosmic scale calculations and effectively disciplined yet unbridled imagination, encompassed within a sleek body of absolutely modern design. A veritable well rounded beast, designed strictly for the unyielding demands of the contemporary hardcore Poe enjoyer. Feast your eyes.
I'm trying to remember all the old info dumps and which are/aren't still applicable.. will PoE 2 still be open ended build design? Like will any class be able to use any weapon and/or skill?
Yes, they even literally mentioned it in the reveal (at the end of the 6-classes reveal), the skill gem tab being separated into weapon types is just to help new players.
You should watch the big reveal/recap they did recently then if you want a refresher, and yes they said we'll be able to use any skill on any class, not sure about weapons though but I guess so
Attack skills are definitely more strict about weapon bases in PoE2 than they are in the first game, for example slams are only usable with maces, while monk-themed skills are usable with a quarterstaff. You're gonna have to weapon swap if you want to mix and match these two types of skills, and seems like the devs are encouraging players to do that since you get unique skill points on your tree that automatically activate when you swap your weapon. Obviously you can still wield any weapon with every class.
Isn't ascendencies are class bound? So if u go sorcerer, u go Chrono, then u can't really do hammer drop since the skill requires a ton of strength to use. I'm not sure if u can build mage into intelligent+ strength 😢
@AIRpursuit oh i dont know anything about that. But the numbers seem to be insane enough on the hammer drop that it likely wont matter even if you lose some int scaling. The only issues that i can see with this is with clear but you will probably just be able to cycle high cooldown skills and be fine
CI + Embrace the Darkness, no ES, use MoM since it says Life or Energy Shield specifically, not mana, stack avoidance. ignoring MoM, you need to take 600 individual instances of damage within 10 seconds to die, since you can only take 1 damage(/darkness) at a time? otherwise, you cant die? with MoM buffer and avoidance... wtf? best defensive layer weve ever seen?
Judge, Jury, And Executioner has me the most worried from a player standpoint. There is another game (Oldschool Runscape) that has this trash mechanic called Ruby Bolts (e) , that basically makes it so you can chunk a boss for 100 damage with a %chance of it happening. There is a meta when hunting certain achievements for boss kill times to keep spam reloading the boss rooms until you get a proc to start your kill. It's very bad gameplay and I hope this node has some failsafe to stop it from happening. It sounds fun at first, but this turns into a very degenerate playstyle that gets old quickly after spam resetting for 20+ attempts.
Instant mana leech + MOM + int scaling when you can turn every highway node into int is going to be so soooooo ridiculous unless leech (and leech resistance) has been reworked in some horrid way or the balance between life scaling and ES/mana scaling is tipped WAY in life’s favor. If there is anything in the game that scales damage based on ES or mana, this is gonna be really really good. And I’m pretty sure there is a lot of mana archetype support planned for launch. Also, you can MOM + CI now. And you can MOM + CI + EB too, if EB is around. All looks very strong and interesting.
My favorite one will be the one that requires the least amount of buttons to press… we will already be pressing dodge/block, main attack skill, combo skill, life flask, mana flask, and buffs on cooldowns 😬.. I think we are all underestimating how much we will want automations and auto triggers back from Poe 1!!
every in-my-head build right now is probably pointless with so much partial information but i can't wait to look back on this 3 weeks from now and think "holy this guy is a fukin idiot"
Jung Moan(ing)
We already think that.
classic jungroan bait technologies
Phd bait
And play something complelty different that he "just cooked" last week
Decimating is 100% bait
Game's not even out yet and he's got the bait ready
i think jungroan is gonna play chronomancer, the way he is casting future baits
and going back in time resetting all bait CDs to double the baits.
Game not even out and already putting out bait 💀
The skew towards passive damage is a good point. Stuff like totems and DoT gets a lot stronger if you have to dodge a lot.
I like how he specifically said alot of YOU guys will die a lot, excluding himself...He knows us too well ❤
he already died like a billion times during his playtime early on so we are just playing catch up i guess.
Chronomancer seems incredibly versatile just for the reset cooldown node. Just use all skills that are cooldown based which are typically stronger than no cd skills, and rotate, reset cooldown, repeat. Cooldown still not over? Freeze time!
Thanks jungroan, you've given me a lot to think about.
TOP 5 MOST EXCITING POE2 NODES YOU MUST KNOW! IMJUNGROAN
POE2 not even out yet and Jung already baiting
either sorc or ranger
just gotta see more of those nodes
but the merc legionaire with that 12+ quality to all gems is massive
Great choice to pick chronomancer guys because if it turns out he's baiting you (which he is), just use temporal rift and go back in time
I think the life remnants from bloodmage required node might be underrated as mana remnants is a persistent skill weve seen and it gives you flat mana but can also overcharge your mana to double its maximum. Subbed because I saw your post on that Rod Ferg post, legend comment 🤣
I'm more excited about the life stacking blood witch. Seems like a pretty fun concept if it scales well
the "strong mana/int shell" sounds valid, dont get me wrong, but i'd rather have my Chonk be CI MoM Darkness with Grasp of the Void and no ES bc seeing a single unprotected Life point on my left side of the screen is gonna make me feel funny
add eb to ur mom ci
@@jungroaneb would spend darkness
@@Zylosio i wanna dodge the darkness nodes xdd
Darkness node is joke.
(Can't wait the future me think, what an idiot comment, the node is so op xdd)
classic jungroan, we will see in 2 weeks if any of this make sense
I started my poe journey with a flame totem witch so it will be fitting to start poe2 with totems as well.
bro i cant decide which class i want to play first and theres still huntress coming later oh lady impale me with that spear of yours 😋
5:07 First Jung bait of PoE2
Lets Goooo
It's been 2 days since reveal and he's already cooking

I will do what I do in every ARPG I am new in. I play blind until I hit a brick wall 😅
Will play something something mage, maybe ignite
They would definitely not add a garbage node for no reason!
What are you're thoughts on gemling legionarre?? I think the skill gem bonuses sound cool but will be weak in practice
lategame ascendancy
damn u jung, the bait is too powerful Im gonna go poison pathfinder now
0:45 im pretty sure INT does NOT give %es anymore in poe2, it just gives mana now. Anyway, thx for the video!

gemling is the scion of poe2

This game is gonna go soo hard. GGG really outdone themselves.
It also looks like damage to mana DOES NOT interrupt ES recharge so Chadyula Monk is gonna be insane.
Damage to mana with hapen after you lose all energy shields, though. The order is energy shield > mana > health
Jungroan saying he's starting totems is not something I thought I would hear in 2024
No "vis a vis" but we got a "contextualize."

Attribute requirement is no issue anymore because with every Attribute node you can choose between the 3
@l0gas495 that's right👍🏻 how about damage? I'd imagine magic spells damage scale with intelligence and melee skills scales with strength.
@AIRpursuit oh i dont know anything about that. But the numbers seem to be insane enough on the hammer drop that it likely wont matter even if you lose some int scaling.
