I just thought I'd come by and say that I got started a year or two ago and you were one of my favorite card trick teachers. Even though I'm much more skilled now and can do various other effects, Slop still is one of my favorite tricks to perform. Thanks for teaching it to me!
One of my favorite tricks as well. Good for beginners and no set up needed. I remember being 12 and excited to come home to practice tricks to impress my friends. I’m 18 now and still come back to your channel!

One of my favorites too! Perfect example of the method not needing to be complex and difficult to create a powerful effect.
Came back to this channel yearsss later and it’s so cool looking at your vids again lol “oh yeah a pinky break!”
This is my go-to. You can use it in combination with other tricks as a finale. The control to the top or bottom is also useful for other tricks. Combine that overhand shuffle with a false cut and people think there is no way the selected card isn't lost.

I've done this trick about ten times now and every time it gets great reactions, plus it's so simple to do. In order to perform it while keeping the cards in my hand if there's no desk, I use a very basic Herman Pass that I've learned to keep invisible in order to control their card to the bottom. A few false shuffles later and it's ready to go :)

Wow, thanks man! This trick (although hard to learn) is so worth it! The reactions I get from this trick are hilarious!!! I do tricks on my parents all the time cause they see me controlling the card or they have a rough idea on how it works, and they react like, "ok, that's cool", but with this trick THEY FLIPPED OUT!!!!! They didn't suspect I was holding a brake because I have never used a brake in ANY of my tricks! So they suspected NOTHING. When I start table fanning the cards out they're like "WOW! The cards are together!" But then they see there card isn't flipped and that's when they FLIPPED OUT.

This is so weird... I just watched a new David Blaine programme a couple of hours ago and he done this trick to Jaden Smith and I was completely amazed. Turns out that with some good practice from a great teacher like yourself this can be done by anyone if the effort is put in. Great to have you back. I think this trick is also known as "The DRunken Shuffle card trick
Here"s how u can present the trick with a script -:
"Once i was showing a card trick to my (uncle,brother,dad whateva) He/She was completely Drunk.i told my uncle to pick a card "Ask the spectator 2 pick a card.
"Control their card 2 the bottom while u speak" "In the middle of the trick he just took the deck off my hands and started to shuffle the deck in a sloppy way 'and then u do the "slop shuffle"' And then he gave me the deck and told me to continue with the trick.i had a look at the deck some cards were face to back some cards were back to face and some cards were back to back. And all i did is Snapped my fingers and just like that the only card that he chose turned face up ;) That"s a variation that u guys can try ;)! By the way i would like to win the black,red or the turquoise deck ;) Thanks! Like if u liked the script!!

i'm watching this over and over and can't figure out how to make the slop mixed deck all face down.
I'm having the same issue, I guess he's too good at card tricks to make it look fake for us.
ROTTER tube If you basically repeat what he does, flip your hand collecting the cards over each time, pushing cards into your fingers one side and under the thumb on the other, you just end up with 2 piles of cards facing opposite directions. The illusion is that it looks all jumbled up.
ohnooooooooooooooo I did it and it worked perfectly. I still have no clue how the cards actually get sorted like that and have decided that it's witchcraft.

Far Trek he puts face up cards on one side of the deck and the face down cards on the other side. the cards are not randomly mixed its just arranged to confuse people

Hello Mismag822 thank you for creating awesome content for us to enjoy and perform. A while back I learned a few tricks and I'm just a beginner so it was hard but I remembered doing a trick for my grandparents and there friends. The card trick I did involved putting a card on the bottom so I could tell where there chosen card was. I performed it then some one said " could you do it again?" After I already performed once. I said sure but he said HE wanted to shuffle I said no but he insisted on it so I sheepishly said yes and he shuffled. I then asked one of them to pick a card and they wanted to choose the one on the far back, for they realized it was the trick card??? I dunno what's it called. But anyways they soon found out my secret and I sheepishly left and stopped doing magic tricks. I was verty young then but now I'm older and I want to get back into card tricks and I've haven't watched your channel in a while but now I feel inspired to perform in front of others again. Bastards! All of them! They're TRICKS, FFS. Of course, there's some form of gimmick or slight or something. All they did was succeed in shaming you away from something you enjoy so much. Instead, they could have matched your curiosity and engaged you more in the process. If they're still alive, go give them a good smack for ruining the fun.
