Attention: all whom experience difficulty with this trick! While attempting to perform the trick, luckily on myself, I noticed that I forgot to reverse the cards, while turned face-up, at 1:50 in the video, when Mismag deals face-up cards down, after turning around the first time. Skip to 1:50, and watch. This is crucial, and as it happened, this was my flaw. God bless all, be it His will and be safe. Re-watch the video thoroughly, and ensure you follow each and every step! I have an idea instead of a sneak peek in the fan. When you lift up the cards to tell them to count to 3, just stay holding to the cards and see what the 4th card is. Hope this is a better idea :D Im a beginner magician :D Love your videos Mismag!
There are numerous ways to do the reveal.
The one I started doing uses a double lift and changes one step. I tell them to add 4 instead of adding 1. This means their card goes to the top, in this example the Ace of Clubs.
So now you double lift and show them a false card, let's say Queen of Diamonds.
You place their card between their hands, rub the Q of diamond on their hand and say I am now going to change the Queen into your card. The card in your hand will become your card, and in my hand will become the queen.
The spectator is always so skeptical and I say "just flip the card, it will be the Ace of clubs"
The reveal blows their minds and I basically laugh cause it is awesome and good fun.

i just realized that reversing the order of the deck THEN putting the bottom half on top puts it in the exact same position as before but gives the spectator a more magical feel about the trick :D

When cutting the five cards from face up to face up top to bottom perhaps use the 'Tamariz cut'? All this means is reversing the orientation of the spread of both half fans whilst arms swing outwards before reassembling the packet. It will better disguise the cut.
When asking the spectator for the second time to transfer the same amount of cards from top to bottom say almost as an afterthought "reverse another one for luck".
why do you need to do the fan peek thing? you know its the 4th card

Very good. I have a similar version but dont add one extra card and the card will be the fifth card. With the pack face down spread the cards around out and remember where the fifth card is...mix them up a bit but keep an eye on the fifth... and then reveal the card. I think this has better impact.

@MrByrne0 If the spectator sees you look at the cards twice it's not very impressive because it seems like a simple mathematical trick. It's a much better effect if the spectator thinks you've only looked at the cards one time.
Doesn't work. If you follow his directions and example, it won't work. He's leaving something out. Does this frequently.

I have them do the same amount twice, both times so their card is in 5th spot. I can move one card to the bottom if I want to do the down-around, down-around reveal method.

You don't really need to say 'same amount, plus one.' Just say count the same amount and their card will be in the 5th position.

Hey mismag, I really like your videos and tricks, just one little thing I was wondering. At the end of the trick where you are looking at the card fourth from the top and having to hide that you are looking at it, can't you just place the cards down and then see which was their card easier?

Superb card trick
I can think of a couple things that would make this trick better and safer, in my opinion. When you do the fan peak, add this in. Tell the spectator you are going to show them the cards and you want them to only look at the card that is theirs once they cannot see your eyes, and raise the fan between your face and theirs. This will make the fan peak easier to pull off without being noticed. Next, the reveal where you count to 3 and have them think their card, instead have them say their card on the count of 3, and you say it with them. Now other spectators will be more amazed and believe more

hi, i remember seeing your videos way back and im actually very glad that i finally found you again! i like your vidoes because they are easy to understand and the tricks are fun!
also could i also get a deck of cards. i really dont mind what color i get get i just want a new deck because im stuck with one that my parents bought for me in vegas and they are not very good :/ thankyou!
@MrByrne0 I thought of an idea similar to yours but instead of simply turning over the 4th card, I have the cards face down and explain I am still having trouble getting the card. Then i will turn it into a muscle reading trick where i mix the cards up (keeping track of the 4th card) and then have them move my hand along the cards and explain that subconsciously they know where their chosen card it at all times really. I eliminate the cards one by one until we are left with their card.

Great trick. On the reveal, if you just go to to 5th card then you don't have to ask spectator to do same number plus one.

Love the trick! Although I do have a question. Umm when you say memorize the first card, how do I do it without the others getting to see me memorizing it, and when they do, questions will be asked :/
im following along, turn over my top card, and its the ace of clubs....... had to pause the video to type this comment out. resuming now.
I love this trick as a reliable, noncumbersome Clock trick using 12 or 14 cards. I prefer 14 to make it look note chaotic. Same steps. Their card will be at 7 oclock, but move select number of cards from top to bottom or bottom to top to randomize effect if doing trick repeatedly or even once and prevent a learner from zoning in on the 7th position. Also, I have them move the SAME number of cards. Keep things uniform. The Plus 1 always turned me off as inconsistent and suspicious.
