Great way to start the morning, another Floberg vid 😄. Attempting still to break my PR of 16:45 this summer and haven't come close yet but got one more shot this Aug at Tracksmith 5000 before shifting to marathon prep for CIM. Thanks for the motivation
I drove by someone running tonight and thought to myself, “he has great form, he’s probably a good runner” followed by “man, do I want to go for a run in the morning?”. I haven’t run in like two years and haven’t really wanted to until tonight. Planning on sending it in the morning, probably an easy 30 minutes. I ran a 16:53 5k my junior year of high school, I wonder how long it would take me to get back to that 7 years later.
15 miles into a 16 mile run today had me questioning if I wanted to keep doing all of this. Got through the last mile and safe to say am ready to return to the pain cave again next long run 😂
Great video as always! When you were talking and rehydrating at the end it reminded me I’ve been meaning to ask you for ages about your handheld bottles you use for the marathon. I remember you’ve talked about them, but I couldnt find the video. Could you tell me which type of bottles do you use? Im thinking on adopting that method in my next marathon. Thanks a lot and good luck on everything!
I think you've got a sub 16 in you, easy on a fast course. I did a similar workout to you structured differently recently. 1600, 400x3, 1600, 400x3, 1600, 400x3. I hit 5:35 on the1600s and averaged 75 for the 400s. I've done two 5ks, one at 16:13 and another at 16:18, both on hilly courses. You're in great shape and I think you easily have a sub 16 on a good day.
If you end up racing good luck! I say go for it, worst case scenario is you run a little slower than you hope. It'd still be a good experience, albeit painful lol
Looks like the On Cloud Boom Strike? Interesting there is basically no more clouds at all. I definitely think you could leverage Saucony into getting you a pair of the Endorphin Elite 2s. Great video, get well soon!
Do you ever wonder how accurate gps is on the track for something like your 3 mile interval? I’ve noticed it usually shows me on the outside of the track which means my time/pace was for a shorter distance than I actually ran/intended to run.
If you run based on GPS on track you lost like 50m for every 1 km. That's why you have marks on a track. You don't have to base on GPS. In case Eric's 400m, he run about 380-385m in reality.
saw on strava you got sick this week, hopeful you feel good enough to go after it, especially after all the bricks you been stackin! also, i always knew you were a man of class but the spraying the coffee beans confirmed it!
Guess they’ve grown immune 😂 Definitely wakes up my wife, and she lets me know about it. I try to grind it the night before when I’m really dialed in haha
@@flobergruns Weekly mileage, pacing, nutrition, sleep, and now coffee grinding timing!!! You truly are dialing it all in. So curious about the race today. Good luck if you end up giving it a go.
I’m a runner and financial planner and I know Dave Ramsey’s voice on the radio when I hear it. Props to you for learning better financial practices while bettering your health!
Give em hell Eric. Might as well send it, recovery from a 5K is nonexistent!

Go get it!!
Los Angeles? I’d love to PR as well, but barely adding speed. Got 3 weeks to see how close I can get to 16:59!
I love videos like this-just putting in the work
Love your running form! Your strides look so relaxed and unforced. Amazing
I'm going to steal this workout from you, trying to sub20 in October... you definitely inspire me... keep working man!

I ran 15:59 at a track 5k over the spring. I’m running my first marathon this fall!

Love this series!!
I just got covid two days before the BoA Humboldt 13.1 a few weeks ago. Just the way she goes sometimes -- Feel better!
you have the greatest music on all of your videos, Any way to generate a new spotify playlist? haha

We need a floberg Spotify play list, I have a 18 hours of flying to get to Chicago
18:01 This is so real. 🤣
Killer vibe on these as usual, and such good running motivation! 👏 Man I felt that morning face in the beginning 😅
What's your fueling strategy for these types of workouts? Are you pulling over in between reps to top up on G1M?
Those ONs are 🔥🔥🔥
Truly.
Solid work man!
What were the shoes you had on before you put on your running shoes? Apologies couldn’t see on channel

Did u use unwashed beans?
Bro’s never gonna think I’m not a coffee snob.
Hello Eric, how much do you sleep per 24h during this training block and on regular?
Does anyone know that the slip-ons / crocs are that Eric wears?
Kane footwear 🫡

some also have track mode, where the watch is calibrated to to the track and is accurate to the meter
how are the on’s compare to vaporfly 3 or any other super shoe youve worn? are they more of a 5k 10k or marathon? thinking about copping
The music was so relaxing. Can you tell the music name plz?
FEEL ILLEGAL TO BE THIS EARLY😂
lol

What are those slip on shoes from in the beginning?? Need those
Kane recovery shoes 🤘🏼
@@flobergruns thanks!
Dave Ramsey that early? Just woke up and chose violence. 😂
hi!!!!!! congrats your trainer and video i m like the 5km may tyme 17:30 tudey 23 54 , 70 years old , Sergio Brasil thanks
What did you spray the coffee beans with? Never seen that before
haha it's just water to reduce the amount of flakes that come off the beans after grinding them. Looks fancy, but just do it for less mess.
16:17 Me last week after 8x200 hill repeats. 🙃
I'm the same, I thrive when doing marathons, but I hate 5k's 😂
nice music choice 😊
How does that coffee grinding not wake up the entire house? No chance I get away with that with my little light sleepers.

When are we getting the Nico Felich, Brock Kelly, Eric floberg collab video 😮😮 best running TH-camrs and bpn sponsored athletes🤷♂️
moody 🔥
So glad to see I’m not the only one putting beans on the lid on my grinder 😂

5Ks are the best.
How can you eat a banana and a bar, and not throw up on the track afterwards?

Yes. I was hoping someone would recognize that 😂 Don’t agree with everything Dave says, but always inspired and entertained by him ❤️🔥
Why do you run on GPS on a track? 🤔 You should add about 1-2s to each rep if you run on gps
@seriousrunner would greatly appreciate your coffee making intro!! 😂
The music almost makes these unwatchable.
I kinda like it
5k is def the hardest distance. It’s hilarious when people look down on it. Always newer runners or annoying influencers.
Id argue that the mile or 1500m is harder ngl
I’d argue that 10k is the hardest, mate.
Clickbait
I’m still trying to understand why adult men run without shirts. 🤷🏽♂️
1: because it’s super warm 2: because they can
