Careful. Your furnace is burning hot with all of that mileage, gotta make sure you give it the fuel it needs. Whole foods may make you feel fuller longer, so you may end up going into a deficit if you’re not being diligent about calories. New diet + more mileage can lead to some amazing performance gains, or a downward spiral. Excited to see you break more barriers in 25’.
OATMEAL (not instant) steel cut or rolled with berries, nuts/seeds, milk of choice, protein powder. Also I add beans and greens, which sounds weird, but taste awesome and makes for a heart meal
Trader Joes frozen grilled chicken, turkey meatballs, and chili lime burgers! All super high and protein + already cooked would make super easy studio meals. While it isn't straight up chicken breast, it is much less processed than a frozen "meal" if you will.
I do lots and lots of night running with three daughters at home. I always wear a reflection vest and a high powered headlamp. Both are worth the investment! Thanks for the content on fueling - making me rethink my current fueling in training!
"loving riding the line" - relatable and well-put. I can't sustain that year-long with running goals but the 2-3x a year I set targets are always the most thrilling and exciting parts of the year for me.
YES, been wanting and waiting for a video on nutrition from you for such a long time! 🔥 I love cooking and being disciplined with my diet, making new delicious recipes, and sticking with the staples I love too. One of my favorite things is taking inspiration from creators I love like you, so thank you 😁👏
Hey Floberg, Shalane Flanagan's " Run Fast Eat Slow" (and similar books) are pretty good for giving you nutrient dense meal ideas specifically for runners.
Blessing me with more elliptical content 🙏. I hope you don’t take this as me being a smartass, but just wanted to touch on the creatine. I’m so glad runners are finally starting to talk about creatine. It’s the most beneficial supplement anyone can take imo and its benefits go far beyond the gym/the run! With that being said, it’s something you have to take daily, like a multivitamin! Not just after your hard sessions. BPNs creatine is creatine monohydrate, which takes a while to saturate the muscles. You’ll need to take 5G a day for about a month for it to fully absorb, then keep on that cadence to keep it on your bloodstream. Just genuinely wanted to offer my take and hopefully help provide some insight. Keep being about it!
Just take 5 grams of creatine monohydrate a day. It's the most studied supplement. I have been taking it pretty regularly for the past 10 years and it has been awesome. Also, a huge advocate of it is a guy by the name of Layne Norton, PhD
I would go bankrupt if I had to buy my produce at Trader Joe's. I just went there yesterday and it's double the price of everywhere else I go. But the TJ frozen pastas are worth it.
do you run with that stick for like the entire run lmao? I’m sure you’re used to it so if you do probably doesn’t really even bother you but I can’t imagine holding a stick plus your bottle for so long. or is it lightweight and does it fold up really small and you can put it in a pocket or something lol jw
@ I also have a red flashing cycling light that I clip on the back of my vest. They’re compact and usb charged. Highly visible from a long distance. Safety is top priority so we can run without fear 😊
In my opinion, fat is your friend. Try and buy full fat options, ie full fat Greek yogurt, chicken thighs, avocados, and fattier cuts of meat. Also noticed little red meat, why? Again, IN MY OPINION beef is amazing, especially organic grass fed. Can be pricier but fattier cuts will always be cheaper. Also I personally enjoy red meat over poultry. Ground meat is also way more convenient. Cooks up way faster and is way more versatile. Kiwis & bell peppers for vitamin C and other micros. Again, this is all my opinion, take what you will. Love the channel!
@Luke-ed6kf I agree. I’m not saying carbs aren’t amazing. I run about 50 miles a week so definitely not inactive. Calorie wise, fat is the most dense meaning easiest to maintain weight (which I have trouble with). Thanks for your input!
Ditch the chicken and get ground beef or steak! Get the fattiest meat you can find! I have adopted a carnivore based diet with fruit and dairy and I do eat potatoes on occasion but that is it! I only eat beef and I feel amazing! My joints used to ache all the time and now they don’t! Look up Paul Saladino, I have copycated his diet just about and he is on to something! Sleep improved and gut is happy!
Ah yeah, so Youre on the animal based diet version that paul saladino promotes. Yes strict Carnivore doesn't include any fruit as thats literally carbs. He did find it easier to get electrolytes with his 250-300g carbs a day or about 25-30% by macros. Hows it feeling by the way 😊 ? Cheers
Two floberg videos in one week. It really is Christmas.
Hahhaha

Big base!
I love BPN

Don’t forget Salmon, Avocado, Nut assortment, Bananas
Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Him!!
Mix some BPN vanilla whey protein with that Greek yogurt and throw some berries in there 🔥🔥🔥
The Man The Myth 😂❤
Especially given the paces you run and your height, will you find it difficult to fuel purely with whole foods?
which book is referencing in the video? apologies if it was stated!
Roughly same annual mileage as you, would love to chase 3,000 but with marathon block literally starting in a few weeks cannot risk the push.
Total calories will always trump specific nutritional breakdown, as if kcal puts you in too much of a deficit then RED’s comes into play.
Eggs, nature’s multivitamin! Eat eggs bro
Raw nuts....good calories. Burns slowly
Some of this footage is very Blair Witch! 😂
I can’t find that flask anywhere. I had one for Montreal marathon, got rid of it halfway thinking I could get another… awful mistake
I was literally searching the other day for a diet video from you and this pops up today! I probably could work on mine tbh
Time to dial it in!
As I carb load for my marathon Sunday, nice video to pop up!
Get the hydrapak thumbloop hand carry bottle. Wayyyy better than nathan
Why is it better? I'm currently looking for one :)

Since im poor frozen berry mix and frozen peaches in some greek yogurt are lifesavers 😂
What is a BPN athlete?
Bare performance nutrition athlete, nick bare is the owner
@@huntergeren7752 Okay. So it's just another way of saying sponsored by?
train hard, eat harder
So happy to see you wearing a reflective vest while running. Stay safe my friend. Cheers from Montreal Canada 🇨🇦
Gotta order some more light up stuff!

Nonfat Greek yogurt tastes like paste to me.

Grains were problematic for me too. Ive been on 3-4% carbs the last 3mths. Reprogramming the Mitochondria.
