Watching you climb onto Dino's back is exceptional itself, but to watch you hold on to him, talking to him, you were very obviously calming him down, with what I will forever refer to as, "The Voice". I can see his muscles in his back legs relax. When you gently stroked his head and said, "It's Ok Buddy.. you're OK." .. it makes me want to cry. I feel like I'm watching a Martial Artist or a dance instructor because of how you like.. become one with him.. and all of your other animals. When you talk to them, you say each and every one of that names. You give each of them those few precious moments of "one on one attention". It doesn't have to be long, it just had to BE. You're never in a hurry or trying to rush through feeding. You honestly enjoy feeding all of them. It's quite something to see. You are a Master. I've only seen one other human being able to communicate and calm down an an extremely strong and violent Crocodillian.. and it was Steve Irwin. I can see NO difference in the way he worked with his big Crocs and his other animals. . You have that touch. You have "The Voice"...Dino has really touched my❤...i know in a few months, he's going to be back to, as my Dad would say, back to his "Fighting Weight". He'll be feeling just great, and loving his life with a girlfriend or 2 and it will all be because of you and Gabby❤ You truly love what you do and that makes all of us love you so much... You're just something else!

What a beautiful comment and it made me tear up. I love watching Chris interact with the animals. We can tell he genuinely loves and cares for each one. I’ve always had a love for apex predators and it’s so amazing to watch Chris work with crocodilians. Whether he’s handling a dangerous alligator or cuddling a prairie dog, he shows the same love and care.

@@GatorChris_Chris, you are an inspiration and role model. You and Gabby are living my dream! I’m 36 and almost disabled; this summer I will be undergoing brainstem decompression surgery, and my whole future is up in the air right now. You know what keeps me going? Caring for my dog, and my three box turtles, and YOUR videos. I want you to know…you and Gabby aren’t just making a difference in these animals lives…you are making a difference in people’s lives too. I’ve never met you personally (would love to one day), but I feel a strong connection to you, and just wanted to say, thanks for the hope you inspire! Keep up the great work, brother!!!

@@Mini_Kong_Dino So sorry to hear about your health issues. I pray the surgery is successful. I agree with you. Chris and Gabby are living my dream. It would be wonderful to have a wildlife sanctuary on several acres. No humans for miles, just animals. I’m glad you have some pets to keep you company. They can make a world of difference in our mental and physical health. Have a blessed day.

Loved the long video today. Great stuff with the vet and getting Dino some fluids and broad spectrum antibiotics. The day never ends with you guys. It really is a 24 hour commitment that deserves serious recognition and respect! 🙏 Looking forward to the next video to see how Dino is doing. Also it was interesting to see how shy Akila was when other people showed up. They are much more smarter then most people give them credit for.

I have so much respect, and affection, [at a distance, of course], for them now! Thank you to you, Gabby, and Dr. Colbert for your tireless care and advocacy for these extraordinary animals. Chris, YOU, with your YEARS upon years of knowledge and experience, not the armchair quarterbacks of the comment section, are the expert. I can't believe people have the nerve to act like they know best. YOU along with the good Doctor's input, absolutely know what's best for these animals. So sorry you have to deal with people's negative commentary. It's a privilege to gain knowledge from your expertise. Heat stroke! Oh man. Please take care of you too!

Every day I avidly check for an update on Dino. Chris and Gabby have done an amazing job with him, he would not have survived this long without their help/intervention. It must make them feel so good to see him getting a little spicy as it shows he's gaining strength. The sanctuary there has such a great feel to it. Clearly all the animals/birds are happy, well cared for and it's heartwarming to see.

If they weren’t intelligent they wouldn’t have been around such a long while. Poor Big Mac…so glad he’s with you. If they survive the initial trauma, it’s amazing how well animals eventually adjust to severe injuries with permanent consequences, including blindness. My own philosophy with my animals has been to do what’s necessary for quality of life and otherwise not subject to additional traumatic procedures unless absolutely necessary. He took quite a hit and I’m impressed by how far he’s come in such a short time. Never ceases to amaze how many “experts” are on the internet. Clearly your years of experience are nothing compared to their uneducated opinions.

This was utterly fascinating to watch. I hope the vet can continue to be there for you two with your exotics, especially the crocodile and alligators. The knowledge he must have in his brain 😱As a former vet tech who only dealt with dogs and cats and the occasional rabbit, it was just mind blowing to see vet care on such an ancient creature. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and learning about these amazing animals. I am rooting for Dino for his sake and for the both of you. I know you would want to stay detached emotionally but it’s hard to not get attached when you are having to give so much tlc. Can’t wait to hear updates. Hopefully after all those different medications and fluids , he feels a lot better!

Chris, this is such an educational video. I loved listening to Dr. Colbert. I love animals so much and love learning all I can about them. It breaks my heart to know that Dino and Big Mac are not well. But I have faith in your knowledge and ability to care for them. Please take care of yourself in the Florida heat and humidity. Love and respect from Tennessee. 💕🐊

It's so interesting to see the process of medical care for Dino. I know how tough it is to find a local exotic vet for my bunnies, a common pet. I can't even imagine how hard it is to find experienced vets for most of the animals in your sanctuary. The few there are must be so busy constantly.

St. Francis of Assisi: The Patron Saint of Animals ❤ Answered my own question. Unless someone answered my comment, which I doubt. Haven't checked my comments. I dislike seeing injured animals. No matter what kind they are. Each have feelings, like we do. Wish the best to all! Always enjoy the videos!🐾😉🐾

    The improvements Dino is
    showing in such a short
    time is unbelievable.
    I know it’s wishful thinking,
but I would like to think that
Dino is aware he’s feeling better
    and somewhere deep down he
knows you’re trying to help him.

Big Mac: Listen to Big Mac hissing. He must smell Dr Colbert! With gator's ability to heal, I wonder if there is any possibility that his eyesight could return?
    Akila: She is sooo smart
Dino: His hissing is a lovely sound. It means he is on the mend. Ohhh, he felt that toe pinch for sure!
Rudolph: Yay!! Happy he went to his new family. Only 4 more to go.
Poppy: Just adore his low rider furpants.

The Dr seemed super knowledgeable. Of course, it's a little hard for us laymen to understand it all lol, but Dino is obviously under good care with you all. Im dying to hear something conclusive about what Dino's issues are, though. At least the doc confirmed the suspicions you already had.

So glad you found some good vets to help out with Big Mac & Dino. If nothing else, the fluids should make Dino feel better, but with all the other meds the Doc got onboard, hope Dino will turn the corner. Big Mac, poor guy...seems like he just wants to chill and figure out what is going on....at least he's eating now!
Who would have thought watching tortoises eat would be so enjoyable! Them fighting over the same piece, LOL! Thanks to this channel for the enlightenment 👏💚
