Business laptops are usually very configurable and so many parts are optional like webcam/IR/fingerprint reader/card reader/backlit keys/display type/etc. Modem is one of those optional components, they would need to design one chassis/body that is ready for all these components. Reason to mostly save money for business. It might not sound a big saving per component for example not having backlit keys could save $15 but when these business laptops are purchased in bulk which is often the case say 100 laptops just not having backlit keys could save a business $1500 on that purchase.
Your unit have 4g or 5g modem inside , it even had imei number on back panel on white sticker , 4g/5g modem on 24:22 , fibocom fm 350 gl is wwan card inside and its 5g card pretty good one
Some countries it is, I think in Australia they just about refresh it to the 12th Gen Intel version soon which I will also look at once land on our shores.

Unfortunately there is only one slot for the SSD M.2 NVMe so you can't add additional SSD, you can replace the existing one.

@@BsianTech I was actually looking to buy either the Zenbook or the expertbook from the may launch but both are not available anywhere.
