Along with the incredible music I love to watch his hands fly across the keys and manuals and his feet across the pedalboard. Talent rarely seen especially toward the end.
Wow! I was lucky enough to hear this played live at Bury Parish Church on Saturday - phenomenal! Thanks to Tom for filming it so it can be enjoyed again!
Jonathan you continually astonish me with your execution, registration, musicality, and total control and mastery of the pipe organ. I truly hope to be able to hear you in person some day. Best wishes to you.
I Love it! Thanks
What a wealth of fabulous themes. It's hard to tell on a video, but the sound recording and registration and hall seemed especially bright and lovely. Enjoyed every minute
I would like to secure permission to use this score to animate and illustrate my grandfather and great uncle chasing a couple bats in the attic, because in my mind's eye, the music TOTALLY fits all the shenanigans that occurred on that evening. Not without your permission of coursed!
Wow, as a regular visitor to Bury volunteering on the East Lancashire Railway I didn't realize that the Parish Church housed such a magnificent sounding organ. This ouverture did enjoy me as much as running our Maybach diesel hydraulics on the railway. Does Jonathan perform often in Bury? , I really want see him playing this organ, and his arrangements of orchestra music are above every league, so I will check when he is performing next time. Just booked a ticket for a performance the brothers do in Liege, which is close to where I normaly live.
It is "Proper" to waltz anywhere you desire. What is so special about a church. By the way - I did not see anyone dancing in the church, waltz or anything else. So what are you asking about? What business is it of yours? What do yu care whether it is proper to waltz in church or not. No one set yu up as the arbiter of behavior/ Too many people are minding other people's business. Tend to your own affairs. Make sure you are behaving well and let others do as they wish as long as they are not imposing their will upon you.
Somehow you have musically captured all the bat swinging, tennis rackets, , "Get the shotgun" - NO! don't do it events that occurred that evening, yet the flittering bat remains. It's almost totally compliant to a real-life situation........ spooky-so! I'd love to use your music track and do the best cartoonist work that I can, in order to represent a real-live event.
Did anyone notice that this music was in one episode of Tom and Jerry, the one where both of them wanted to control the orchestra lmao, that was so lit
Those old cartoons are so amazing musically that my orchestra class would normally chill and watch those on the next day after our concerts, with our conductor playing along to their themes on piano, shouting music theory stuff as he went. So much silly fun.
Yes ! I remember this piece in more than one cartoon as a Baby Boomer. There are many classical pieces in warner Brothers Cartoons. Sadly for some, it was the only exposure to great Music. Thankfully My Mom and Dad made sure that we were exposed to a lot of it. This was actually one of the first pieces that My Dad explained to My Sister and I , along with the " Blue Danube waltz " still one of My most favorite pieces of music not found in any Hymnal ! and Yes I knew it and loved it MANY decades before "2001 " the Movie by Stan Kubrick God Bless.
Yes Tom and jerry was among the best. They could not make them today. Each frame was hand drawn unlike the computer made politically correct garbage now
Wow - etwas virtuoseres habe ich noch nicht gesehen - gehört. Genial!
What a joyous find on TH-cam!
Along with the incredible music I love to watch his hands fly across the keys and manuals and his feet across the pedalboard. Talent rarely seen especially toward the end.

Impeccable!! A real treat to see Jonathan in action!
His orchestra to organ arrangements are amazing. As is his technique.
You are simply FANTASTIC.
One of the best organ renditions of this wonderful piece! I love your arrangement. Gina Dodds Bellmore, USA
Wow, that registration took some working out! Excellent! Wonderful performance in a lovely church in one of my favourite towns.
Truly amazing playing by you Jonathan, your coordination and timing are excellent.
Wow! I was lucky enough to hear this played live at Bury Parish Church on Saturday - phenomenal! Thanks to Tom for filming it so it can be enjoyed again!
That must have been a special joy... hearing a live performance!
Bury, my home town. How many Saturdays have I walked past the Parish Church, Kay Gardens to Bury market to shop. I miss those old days.
Imagine how this organ will sound in 50-100 years as the wood ages and the metal loses its stresses.
CAT loves it. Das Katze essen der Fliedermause .
He makes it look so easy.
thank you so much for all your hard work
Fantastic!
If I close my eyes I can see myself dancing this waltz in a big and beautiful hall!
Congratulations!! Best wishes!!
Always wanted to hear this on an organ
Sounds so amazing on an organ
Noch vollkommener kann eine Musik nicht sein, wenn sie von solch begnadeten Künstlern vorgetragen wird!
Fantástic 👋👋👋👋👋

Exciting performances with much panache and a true flavor of the "grand manner' Thank you Tom for your exciting photography

Impeccable feeling for the right rubato.
Fantastic!
A brilliant and so musical performance on a fabulous instrument.
I like how accordiony this gets at the end.
Genial! Thank you!
Muito bonito! Amei!
Superb!
Que igreja linda! O órgão também. Gosto das composições do Strauss, entre elas o "Danúbio azul", "Lago dos Cisnes", e outras.
As good as it gets.
That was awesome!
wow, he is so gifted isn't he.He has certainly inspired me to play better.
@1:00 when he repeatedly strikes the E key... is that a percussive I am hearing? Or just a very pronounced chiff? Either way, it's a nice effect.
Superb, as ever!
Many thanks.
(Ha! And 4 buffoons have managed to hit the 'dislike' option. They were probably opera fans(!))

What's the name of the stop by 4:00 on the first manual?
It sounds like the Choir Clarinet.
Offshoreorganbuilder thank you very much!
Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse come to the church to hear their Legendary song they made at "The Hollywood Bowl" and praying for their reunion without fight
How is it possible to make human fingers move THAT FAST?!
Is it proper to waltz in church?

I was wondering this myself...I've never heard this piece in a church before..:-)
robert shaw Relax. It was a joke (not a very funny one, but a joke nonetheless).
easy, is only a great music of Strauss, nobody think dance, only clap him and enjoy this lovely artist. (this coment from Mexico)
It drives me bats! :-)
Are you playing at Harry's wedding? They will have a master.
Wow....! Totally removed from the realm of "church music" and into the pipe organ's musical domain all it's own. Virtuoso..!!
Somehow you have musically captured all the bat swinging, tennis rackets, , "Get the shotgun" - NO! don't do it events that occurred that evening, yet the flittering bat remains. Tom and Jerry In The Hollywood Bowl
I would have thought that the accoustic would be better in that great church. It is on the dry side, which is a huge pity.
innsure you fingers, please, lol,,, you're amazing, (cute too)
2 fast
too fast
A pretty poor instrument for its size.
Excellent!
