Unbelievable that an ad was inserted in the middle of this marvellous piece. I nearly gave up on the spot, if advertisers want to sell their products, don't break into a marvellous piece of music, all you do is annoy and upset people,
That’s the problem with TH-cam anymore these days… got interrupted too, at one of the climaxes… they seem to know WHEN to time the interruption! Just like every other “free” outlet… used to be the cable tv: “commercial-free” if you’re paying monthly… look where THAT got to!! They’re ALL “Jones-ing” to get you to PAY (dearly in some cases) to get uninterrupted whatever-it-is full service… Twitter, you have to “pay” for a blue check, I heard… I’m not on any of the platforms.. waiting to hear the news that FB will pull something like that.. maybe they DO… Down the road, the annual ad-free subscription will also water down to where we’re at now… Don’t worry.. it’s all coming… In the meantime, I hate it just as much as the OP…. Glad you chimed in…
This NEVER ceases to move me, every time I replay it. I am so grateful to the producers of that wonderful little film, "Babe" for introducing me to this piece. Wow. Superbly done.
I think Anna is bringing a lot more watchers and listeners to orchestral music. I don't doubt that the orchestral players feel she gets a lot of the limelight however
There are precious few halls in the world that have organs that can showcase this piece as well as the Royal Albert Hall. This was a stunning recording. Well done!
The advert's back! I'm insanely jealous o' those talented guys . . . .someone hit a dubious note on his tuba. Another stopped playing and grinned. Priceless!
CFM mentioned "Babe" in the blurb, but I, and I'm sure a few others, remember this being re-imagined into the song "If I Had Words" by Yvonne Keeley and Scott Fitzgerald, back in the 70s. That was my introduction to the immortal music of Saint-Saens, and he has become one of my favourite composers. This piece superbly played by the BSO and Ms. Lapwood (and her sparkly jacket). Wonderful.
Wonderful, of course, but I personally miss this done, live. The overwhelming power; the audience is impacted by the incredible physicality of being there.
I have been to two of these Classic FM concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and will never do so again. Some idiot producer and sound engineer think that a full size professional orchestra playing in a concert hall designed for that purpose need to have microphones all over the place and pumped through the auditorium speakers. You therefore don't hear the orchestra live, but the sound engineer's interpretation, which, as this recording proves, is seriously badly mixed. OK have mics to record the concert, but there is absolutely no need for additional amplification within the hall.
Absolutely superb - I seemed to have dodged the advert someone else mentioned thankfully. Why TH-cam can't do what another Company does by putting all the ads at the beginning I really am at a loss to know.
IMHO, not a TH-cam problem. All too close mic'd for my taste and no Hall atmos, so a very claustrophobic sound. Much better with added Altiverb. I don't have a RAH sample, but with Berlin Philharmonie it sounds way better!
@@nickware119Yes. Not sure why they haven't mixed more of the tree mics in. Is a bit hard to tell what the exact setup is from this vid, but this is certainly not what they normally do at RAH.
I saw a press review of this concert and the reviewer commented on the poor sound in the hall. The Bournemouth SO is a decent orchestra but it isn't the Vienna Philharmonic!
I believe comments are because they think the performers deserve a better recording quality to match the beauty of the music they practiced so hard to present.
There always has to be at least one in a crowd of many whom couldn't find satisfaction nor happiness even if they found a treasure trove in their own gardens.
Odd to make a recording of this which completely cancels the vast acoustics of the Royal Albert Hall - the orchestra sounds like it is in my living room! Surely a middle way could be found…?
El mal sonido no proviene solo de la compresión de TH-cam, sino de una grabación hecha en una sala con mala acústica para este tipo de música y que después no se ha mejorado en la posproducción, por parte del ingeniero de sonido.
Could you imagine the embarrassment of being a brand, algorithmically inserted into a piece like this? I'd be roasting the Account Managers over a slow fire for even contemplating that this could be possible
While recoding could have been better this was a Fantastic performance. Great conductor. Ballsy brass. Percussion exhibited primal urge only produced by "Y" chromosome. Entire piece had a jazzy feel. Organist Anna simply fanrastic. Love to hear more of her.
Just a shame who ever mixed this did an awful job of it, 7:34 sounds claustrophobic. Not what you’d expect from the RAH, just have to listen to any prom concert for that.
BE VERY CAREFUL IN PLAYING IN FRONT OF A MIRROR 🪞 BUT DON'T EVER WORRY CAUSE I HAVE HER NOW DHE WILL NOT HARM YOU OR ANY OF YOUR BLOOD LINE 💗 AND I KNOW YOU GUY ARE MY BEST PROFESSOR 💝 OF MUSIC I UNDERSTAND LIKE LANGUAGES

AMEN and AMEN!!!
The ads appear at Random and interupt the video rather than being inserted into it. They appeared at the start when I watched.
Do you not know how ads work also Pay like 6$ like me and there will be no ads

That triumphant last chord! and how the organist enjoyed it!

Delighted that by the time I watched this, the advert had been removed. Thank you to whoever made the decision!
It's back😒
I. love Saint Saens he throws everything but the kitchen sink at this. It is glorious and riotous and exuberant totally mad and beautiful. Love it.
The kitchen sink is at movement 3, measure 14. 🤪
The kitchen sink is in movement 3, measure 14.
It's in the tympany section and played with a plunger.
Anna in a sparkling jacket again. It seems to have become a trade mark. Lovely performances all round, I would have loved it live.
Diane Bish also took advantage of wearing dazzling outfits while performing with her back to the audience! 🙂
@@martinbentleykrebs2486I came here to say this!
I think Anna is bringing a lot more watchers and listeners to orchestral music. I don't doubt that the orchestral players feel she gets a lot of the limelight however
Yeh the black sparkly sequins seems to have become a trademark
Now I hope that Anna can make a full recording of her playing the whole piece. She's brilliant
Yes! This!!!
I believe she just released a recording of it.
There are precious few halls in the world that have organs that can showcase this piece as well as the Royal Albert Hall. This was a stunning recording. Well done!
Wow! One of my favourite sounds and from that look in the mirror at the end I think Anna enjoyed it too 😁
Once again a fantastic piece of music done by talented people 😊
this is already paradise
Thank you for putting this on. I saw the clip of it, and was in heaven. I wish I was there. 💕
An absolutely beautiful performance by you all thank you for sharing ❤❤❤❤
amazing performance by all and especially Anna! What an incredible organist!
Oooooohhhhh! Full body chills!!! ❤❤❤❤
Oh my goodness what a beautiful surprise to fall upon ❤ 2 excellent singers but oh My such a proud & caring dad !❤
I had the privilege to play this fantastic piece as a military musician at The 1989 Royal Tournament, London. Divine!
What instrument?
I Love this work. Brava, Anna Lapwood!
Never fails to wow.
We're so excited to see her next year at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. We already have our tickets!

An absolutely surpurb piece! So much going on, so many changes, just stunning to hear and watch.
Ads don't work if they annoy people, and breaking into a beautiful piece of music annoys me!
They dont work anyway…. For me
Wonderful, of course, but I personally miss this done, live. The overwhelming power; the audience is impacted by the incredible physicality of being there.
Joyous sounds!
Gives me the goosebumps and chills!! I just love this so much!!!
Fantastic performance - thanks for sharing.
Excellent! Had to turn up the surround and view several times. Thanks for posting!
Woah! Wonderful. I saw the BSO play this piece in Portsmouth a few years back.
It made me a bit emotional then, too!
Thank you for sharing.
Amazing ! I hope someday visit the Royal Albert and see Lapwood playing this symphony again !
Majestic!
Love it!!!
THE BEST AUDIO/VIDEO MIX EVER...!!!❤️
Brilliant so powerful
Como o órgão na musica clássica fica esplêndido!! É algo divino mesmo!!
Some people are complaining about the sound production. The Royal Albert Hall does not have the best acoustics. But this was still enjoyable.
Beautiful piece
I wish I was there to listen to this concert.

Saint Saens UNDOUBTEDLY had a legendary heroic pig in mind when he wrote this ❤
And now I'm hungry for bacon!
The music, more than speaks for itself. Do you really need a light show?
Here comes the anti-fun brigade
A timpanist s dream solo at the very end
@@Richard-b5r9v I was thinking the exact same thing. Used to play them in my school band.
A shame the sound is so bad. Don't think we can blame YT for it either, sounds more like a recording/mixing issue. :(

Too bad it was recorded with a terrible mic setup
It doesn’t sound so bad to me.
Maybe bad sound engineers at the time of recording on site.
Classic Fm Radio has tripe! sorry adverts between every piece but at least they don’t interrupt during the performance! Fraser/Elsa
Bad sound engineers :(
Agree.
@@Lusofolias2016 TH-cam is not the best place for audio. Too often it is compressed so much it is grating to the ears.
Having had many of my own mixes destroyed by TH-cam's compression, I'd say you're a bad (ignorant) listener.

I unsubscribed while watching this because of the ads intruding during the performance.

What a strange sound mix - as though they're playing in a shed. Close miking everything really takes away the impact.
Anna was great, but that’s about it. Very uninspiring performance of this magnificent work. Musicians looked dead. Horrible sound engineering.
