What's a cool catch in this episode is during her smile, she actually notices them stepping on Becky's foot before turning her attention back to Damien. Using/learning from Loid's calculating nature, she took that and spun an abili with it. She's very quick witted even midst panic. 😂

Good catch. Another not-so-fun fact: Damian was not even in the family photo in the manga. The other students and their parents pretty much stood at the same position like the photo in the manga, but there was no boy on the top right corner.

Something I forgot as I was reading the manga, and only remembered recently, is that Anya most likely lied that she was 6 years old, so not only is she younger than that, she's able to read the situation well after reading thoughts...she really is the mvp in this animanga

@@rusenakman What people tend to forget that Loid is peak human in the way that Batman is peak human, Loid is scary intelligent, capable of calculating trajectories on the fly, memorizing hundreds of penguin names, their hierarchies etc. In a flat 1v1 fight no tools allowed, Loid loses. Give Loid like 5 minutes to prep and it balances out immediately.
And by the laws of anime, when a girl K.O.s a boy with a basic attack, a ship is born. The Forger's family creed should be "our hands are rated E for everyone".

I love this episode. For we really get to see both Yor and Loid's characteristics in Anya. Composure and killer instinct from Yor, and the art of lying and having a poker face from Loid.

With Anya, she was in an experimental facility until a year ago, so she has little to no social skills. Even with kids her age. But also yeah, Damien can be a brat but in the photo, at the end, his parents weren't with him. (He's top-right. while the Forger family is bottom left). Sad day

The best impression is the worst impression. This will make Damien remember her very well rather than have her suck up to him like everyone else does.
I agree and think it will develop like that. Damien IS just a kid so he isn't a total A-hole yet. He looks to be just emulating what his father and other grownups do and what is expected of him. He was interested in Anya and approached her first, asking about her parents. If Anya had cowered and acted like others then yeah, then he might have 'let' her be his friend as a noblesse oblige type but Anya might have trashed the friendship route and triggered the typical frenemy -> romantic interest route.
