I completely agree. Photopea has a very similar look and feel to Photoshop with tools which do almost as good a job. It also has a much easier learning curve and is more intuitive when compared to GIMP. I also like the selection and masking tools which may not be as powerful as Photoshop's, but are much better than GIMP's at selecting and masking complex subjects. The best part is that you can use it directly, without the need to register, which many 'free' web apps require you to do.

Intriguing, as someone who loved PS but cant afford it and never really took to GIMP, especially using Inkscape for most of my graphics for Unity instead, but for my logos etc GIMP seemed the way, but I really wanted PS. I also download Krita and had a go and was ok, liked the large icons etc., but this PhotoPea has me intrigued and with vector graphics like Inkscape, it just seems smoother to look at and by this video easier to use, my only problem ow is that I haven't used PS since 2018 and I have forgotten a lot, so hopefully...I'll call it..PP, I can pick up fast and there are some straight to the point tuts online or a Book of PhotPea like Book GIMP etc. that I used to get started, among some other books from Packt, Apress, O'Reilly and so on...
Yeah I'll give PP a go, see how it works out. I'm a big fan of Blender as well for my 3D modelling as again can't afford Maya or 3DS Max etc., along with ZBrush and other programs that would be integrated into my "Game Dev Stack" for creating 2D/3D games, so my GDS of Unity/UE5/Visual Studio/GitHub/Blender/Inkscape/GIMP/Audacity etc., learning from many MANY books and online tuts, and using a bit of AI Tools for quickness these days but only a little, but can still lead to not exactly what you are looking for, so yeah still a little ways to go before that becomes very trustworthy and bread and butter like the rest of the GDS.
Anyway I hope PP lives up to the hype he is saying on here....only one way to find out! Fiiiiight!!!...GIMP🤜💥🤛PP...just kidding lol😂

Lol, even Keita has layer styles and vector graphics, even with that I prefer gimp for photo editing, because Krita is focussed on painting and illustration in raster images, the vector graphics and the layers styles are slow in that software, I prefer gimp because is faster, even if gimp does not have vector based graphic , or text editing easy use, I like because the performance excellent. Now with photopia I need to test that out. Good video.

I used to love GIMP until I've found Photopea.
      I don't use GIMP anymore.
Photopea makes GIMP looks like a retro outdated software.
