Is there a tutorial video to show how you can mask something over a specific piece of photo?
Example:
Im modding car liveries for a game. And i want a certain part carbon fiber but im not sure how one would go about cropping, possibly masking, a carbon fiber image over the photo (ie. Side mirror or something) without disturbing the rest of the livery (having bits and pieces of carbon fiber on other parts of the car cuz its intruding onto the other pieces of the photo.)

Basic controls for healing don't work reliably. Sometimes it fixes a spot, sometimes it doesn't. Also, if you picked the wrong spot as a reference area, it's unclear how to undo that. The user interface of GIMP in general is anything but user-friendly, if not outright annoying.
Click 'undo' as many times as needed to remove mistakes. Select another "reference area" with CTRL> click.
Can we edit like photoshop with gimp ? is that powerful thanks for making video I want more

you don't need to set anything to 72, PPI only affects print size nothing to do with web

It's amazing how a program that's meant for designers and photo editors has the ugliest UI known to man.
It's a free software as powerful as photoshop, there's not really much room to complain
Great video, but too much fluff and talking. Can be more on point and will be great. I guess for non IT person is great, for me who knows a little about alike software you are too long.

@@GIMPTUT I love the ease of use feel of GIMP but after using Picsart on my android device I feel like GIMP is a little bit too old school if you ask me. Is there open source photo editor that is...umm a bit more modern that you can suggest?😀
