Great video. I would say that due to your high level you make these turns look easy but actually they are very technical and difficult to execute perfectly (for me the outside counters).
Hello, I'm Yvonne. I really like your way of teaching from the barrier. I'm 64 I skated ⛸️ long time ago quit @ 15 started back at 56 Quit started back again at 63 still at it.... I'm a lover of edges, I feel like I can do these brackets, counters.... I didn't do them when I skated but I feel like I'm going to just work on them. My Coach is the Olympian Surya Bonalay the sweetest person ever. Too nice!! These rinks haven't changed much lol. I have a special story too re Surya. Anyhow I will be once released to skate after falling and not on ice either lol. I'm out of Vegas. Keep teaching at the barrier.. they are great!!!!
Stacey, thank you for sharing this figure skating one-foot turns tutorial! You make these turns look very easy and smooth! I am trying to get enough courage to do brackets. I find that this counter turn is very challenging to do.
You guys videos are everything I’m looking for, super high quality and a great amount of information. Presented easily as well, thank you so much for this channel and the freebies available on your site.
Thanks for the clear and concise explanation! You make it look so easy! I can only do forward 3-turns. I can sometimes do backwards 3- turns with a little hop, how do I not do that hop?
How would I practice these turns on the ice? Just do single ones like you demonstrated or is there a way to connect them like three turns on a circle? I just began learning brackets 🙏🏼🥰 so perfect timing with this great video!
I’ve been skating for 2 1/2 years and just realized I’ve been doing my forward inside 3 turns incorrectly. I turn inside the circle but on my outside edge. So both my forward outside and inside 3 turns are on my outside edge…
@@nextedgetutorials but in routines there is no circle if that makes sense. How do you know what’s a bracket or three turn etc if there’s no guide to see if you are facing in or out
My friends that are much better than me at skating know I'm in a real good place when I'm watching Next Edge Tutorials. Thank you guys :D
That is awesome! Keep up the great work ❤️

So happy you liked the video. You got these turns. We will do a video on outside counters 😉

Thank you so much for sharing with us your skating journey ❤️❤️ you have one special coach ❤️ keep up the amazing work
Honestly the best video on TH-cam on the skating turns and beautifully explained/demonstrated! Thank you so much! Love from London X
You're so welcome! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best skating video that helped me finally get over my confusion about all these turns - now it's super clear and the PDF is a great help! 🤩
Glad it helped!👏👏👏

Awesome video - I’ve been struggling with my turns for years
So happy you liked it 😉

I’m so happy you have found them 👏 Glad you like them and very welcome 💜💜
Seriously thank you for this. Love your channel. A great asset for new skaters between coaches.
Our pleasure! ❤️❤️❤️
What a great video, so concise! Would love one about s-steps/choctaws as well, but I'm sure that's already in the planning :)
So happy you liked it and it’s definitely in the works 😉❤️
I love your videos, they are really informative and concise and I’ve really learnt a lot!
Awesome, thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you very much for this great idea to gather the 4 turns !! As for me I'm trying to get the rockers 😀
Very welcome and You can do it! 💜
This video is SO useful. Currently on counters and rockers.
So happy to help ❤️❤️

You are so welcome! Just try pressing the edge a bit more before the turn 👍❤️

We will definitely put a video on how to practice them 😉👍💕
Great video!! I can only do two foot turn now. I am really struggling with outside edges😢
We will definitely do a video on edges 😉👍❤️
Can you explain more about 3 turns and brackets being off axis but rockers and counters being on axis? Thanks
We will have to do a video on this that breaks it down 😉💜
@@nextedgetutorials Ok thanks! Looking foward to it!
Thanks a lot for your wonderful videos!! Can you suggest in which order should they be learned?
I personally like doing 3turns, rockers, counters, brackets 😉💜
Great video! Thank you, Stacey ❤
Very welcome 💕💕💕
I always come back to your tutorials! 😊
I'm a beginner and can only do 3-turns so far. What order would you recommend for learning the other turns?
I would go
3turns
Bracket
Counter
Rocker
i get so confused with my arms
Just keep practicing and you will get it ❤️❤️
We sometimes call the the brackets, counter 3 turns in Dutch.
Love it 👏thanks for sharing ❤️

❤️❤️❤️
good news that you are very flexible being able to do inside turns on outside edges. A cantilever is somewhere near )
The free leg is really what bothers me the most. I never really know what to do with it.
Just keep it very close to working leg
Just try different positions with the free leg and see what feels the best 👍
Youre the best
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
can i work with my edea e spinner for three turns
You can definitely use it to imitate the turn 💜💜
I think each turn must be explained with more detail. For example, you don't blend to do it, but you need blend and put in the rocker.
Will definitely do another video going into more detail with each turn ❤️❤️❤️
In a routine how do we imagine the circle? Thanks
It might take some practice but you got these😉❤️
