    During my practice today I noticed my left forward outside 3 turns felt more controlled than my right forward 3 turns. I think it's because with the left 3 turn I could feel my right leg and hip swing ever so slightly giving me a bit of momentum to complete a smooth turn into a backwards crossover exit. However, when practicing my right 3 turns I wasn't able to recreate the same control I had on the left. If I tried to focus the same slight swing from my left leg and hip my arms would wobble thought the whole turn. And if I focused on keeping my arms still then I'd find it hard to exit smoothly into a backwards crossover. My guess is I need to practice more until my brain and my body understand what to do with these right forward outside 3 turns until then if anyone has tips that could help I'd appreciate it.

    Camera angle sometimes does not show your foot work. Otherwise, very helpful,

      Yes I’m aware hard to get ice skating camera operators 😂

    That is a great progression for beginners. I feel it is great and give the support we need when we start. Thank you.

    Hi Thanks for the video. I like the progression tips. Can you also do one for forward inside 3 turns? I really struggle with these- especially generating and keeping the momentum going for the turn 😊. There aren’t many videos on the inside turn .

    i like him, mostly my favorite one. i keep watching him and learning from him whenever i learned something new or whenever i want to improve something coz his video is always consist 'common mistake' and it is complete.
    anyway, i feel like the camera is moving too much left and right (maybe it was too close?)

      It’s hard to find a good camera operator that can skate 😂 maybe I will re do this once I have a better cameraman

    Any tips for doing an outside left 3 turn for a flip jump? I struggle to keep it on a straight line and be able to control it after the 3 turn so that I can do my flip jump. I watched your flip jump video and I think I need work on my 3 turn.

      I used to think almost a rocker, now obviously if you do a rocker you’ll be on the wrong edge but it helped me check enough for the straight entry. Specifically moving the toe pick leg slightly behind me after the three turn helped to check it harder and stop my hip from dropping. You could also try holding a Mohawk on a straight line as this sometimes helps people get in a better position with the hips. Then feel the same position after the three turn 👍🏼

    Many thanks. I would like to learn more about the correct body posture . When I try to do a double three turn or an English three turn, I tend to overrate. There is obviously a problem with the upper body control. how can I fix this problem?

    • @iskatecoach
      @iskatecoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve got a double 3 turn video coming, also worth making sure you watch the common problems - “swing” section of this video 👍🏼

    I've a problem with my outside left foot edge. When i'm gliding on left foot , it turns to inside edge. How can i solve it?
    Sorry for my strange English. I'm not good in it😂

    • @iskatecoach
      @iskatecoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to use a smaller circle when holding outside edges, larger circles are easier for your blade to go flat or even inside edge! Also think about leaning in to the curve with outside edges 👍🏼

    Im still a beginner and i started skating about a year ago. I’m almost ready for the Pre Preliminary MITF and i know the basic jumps, waltz jump, salchow, toe loop and now im learning loop jumps. Im also learning a sit, camel and back spin, I’ve got scratch spin down. Would you say im progressing too slow? I feel like I am but my trainer doesn’t think im moving that slow (considering i couldn’t practice for 2 months over the summer.) Is this about what a 1 year skater should know or am I just a slow learner?

    Love the tips, but tell your camera person to get your feet! They are out of the frame in so many of your videos and it’s hard to see what they are doing!

    • @iskatecoach
      @iskatecoach  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s really hard to find a good camera person that can skate, I also think some of its to do with my camera lens, I’ve just got a new wide angle lens so even the worst camera operators should be able to keep me in frame 👍🏼
      I am considering re doing some of these

    Le spiegazione sono ben fatte ma i video non inquadrano bene i piedi e il corpo per intero peccato
