Excellent instructional video! I will try these tips and exercises. I find counters easy and rockers so hard 😢 Rockers just want to turn into 3 turns and I find myself fighting to stay on the correct edge.
Just returned from La Patinoire Mulhouse, France and tried these exercises. After 45 minutes going through all (more difficult than I expected, especially the backward outside edge) the 3-turns were so much better and I almost made it with the forward outside edge rocker 🤗. Thanks so much!
Good video. I have just recently came back from my first international comp at Oberstdorf and now recognise it in your videos. Hopefully, if I can return next year I will like to say hello and thank you in person for your free and helpful kind content!
Nice ! I would like your advice on the upper body twist on the exit-that is where my problem is….I can’t get to my next element because I fall off the exit edge. Last week I found on my backward rockers that if I keep my arms down, focus on lower core/upper hips, rocker happens???
before turning you have to turn the body more but arms are turned less, so when the turn happens you'll have to rotate (in the opposite direction) just your body (and very little your arms), thus helps to better control rotating momentum. (I mean that the arms' trajectory is closer to that of the scating foot than the body's trajectory) And of course your skating leg should rotate enough and be angled enough to keep the necessary trajectory
Did I not include an outside rocker, I can’t remember, but I thought I did… Will do regarding your suggestion, just getting through more easier turns first 😁☺️

With a forwards rocker do you start and end looking into the ‘circle’? Thanks
So well explained! Will you make a video about counters?
Sure will ❤️

I did not see here an outside rocker... It would be nice of you to show also backward rockers (and counters) as they are much more complicated IMHO
