Love to see a photo of the noodles make you were using? Can I? Because there are many brand out in the market and I prefer the one you used! It looks easy to me!🙏🙏🙏
in the absence of a murukku maker or a potato riser could i even give this recipe a try? the only thing i could think of that looks even slightly similar is a handheld lemon juicer (which i do have) but just looking at it i know it's not tall/deep enough for it to really work. Any help please?
what is the proportion of the rice flour ( regular rice flour, not the glutinous rice flour ?) ? according to your video, 90% of rice flour,10% of potato flour ? what is most popular recipe, with potato flour, or tapioca ? which one recipe is used in Hong Kong ? Why do you have to warm up the rice flour in the pan in the beginning of preparation ?
We have that in Malaysia too. It's a breakfast dish serve with coconut and palm sugar, or curry dishes. This noodle is diff, mainly use in soup/broth, or stir-fry.
Hi. Follow your recipe but the noodles does not end us as pretty as yours. I used potato ricer but it sticks together and lumpy in boiling water.😥 Can i squeezed it on the tray instead direct into boiling water?
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry it didn't turned out well for you. Try knead the dough slightly longer and if it's too wet, add extra flour. Maybe lightly oil the potato ricer. However, you still have to squeeze it directly to boiling water. Hope these help. Good luck!
You can try corn starch, might be slightly softer. You need to heat the flour in order to have a good texture and the noodles don't break easily. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. You can try this one, which I might get it too. www.amazon.com/Dianoo-Noodles-Machine-Stainless-Kitchen/dp/B00T73UW72/ref=sr_1_6?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1490594658&sr=1-6&keywords=noodle+press

around 3 to 4 days..make sure you add a little oil too. I'm sure you can freeze them but I have never try it though.

Tapioca produced "stickier" noodles.

No need to grease the prop. Thanks.
May i know why you dry fry the rice flour in the beginning of the step?
to remove the raw smell and strengthen the dough. You can skip this step if you use rice paste (soaked rice, grind, drained, and knead)
Instead of potato starch, can I use corn starch as a substitute?
Yes, you can.
I think is better to use tapioca starch as corn starch will not make it chewy but soft.

Sorry, you can't. The rice paper batter is diff from rice noodles..
