    Long lasting tire and trim dressing
    Protects, restores and maximizes depth
    Applies evenly leaving behind a shiny gloss
    Quickly renews faded tires, trim, bumpers, rubber seals and weather-stripping
    Also available in gallon size
    How it Works
    The Tire and Trim Gel is a long lasting tire and trim dressing that is developed to protect trim and tires from environmental elements. This long-life protectant and restorer maximizes depth and protection while delivering a water-repellent wet glossy finish. The unique formulation of Tire and Trim Gel delivers a thick rich trim and rubber dressing that lasts. Trim and tires will stay dark, supple, and hydrated. This long-life protectant and restorer maximizes depth and protection while delivering a water-repellent wet glossy finish.
    Lasting Protection
    This unique formula quickly penetrates rubber trim and tires to hydrate and provide lasting protection. Simply wipe on and work into surfaces using a pad. Gel works fast at restoring the look of faded tires, trim, bumpers, seals and stripping. The Tire and Trim Gel lasts for months not days. This is a no streak, no run and non drip formula that works to repel water and detergents and helps keep tire walls hydrated and supple as well as looking new.
    Recommended Use
    The Tire and Trim Gel is recommended for areas around the vehicle that require a dressing treatment. Tires are the primary target for this product but it can also be used on side view mirror housings, black grilles, hood/windshield cowlings, engine compartment hoses, molding, trim, splash guards, door panels, dashboards and even AC vents.

    For frequent details, this will work great in maintaining a rich appearance. For detailers, its great for the out-the-door, end of setvice detail.
    As with all good things, there are caveats: Oil based. Dusty environment? Expect this product to act as a magnet to dust and dirt until "cured"/dry. Plan accordingly (keep vehicle indoors until dry).
    Oil is a UV magnifier. Remember ArmorA*l? Applied frequently to the dash caused fading and cracking? That was because of the oil base. Intensified UV will cause long-term damage (fade/crack/drying).
    A lot of R&D goes in to products before they are marketed. I'm sure this product is no different, and I'm sure ChemGuys had these caveats in mind during development.
    This is a great product for Service detailers, Car lots and show prep. I would hesitate on repeated, long term use.

      Tire And Trim Gel is an oil-based dressing. It contains no solvents that damage plastics or rubber. The oils seem deep into the pores of textured plastic and rubber to nourish and moisturize the material from deep within.

      Hey there, great question. If you want max protection against etching, a Ceramic coating is the way to go. Our Carbon flex trim coating helps protect those sensitive plastics from oxidizing, and helps to create an invisible barrier that protects the pores of the plastic from things that could etch into them.

      How did it work?

  • @MrJimmyJoe6000
    @MrJimmyJoe6000 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just curious in that it looked like some of it would get on the paint.
    1) Don't you need to wipe that off really quick?
    2) Are you assuming this is step one and then you wash wax the car?
    3) Is this the last step in detailing a car out? (See question 1)
    I really don't know about detailing so they are real questions

      Hi MrJimmyJoe, thanks for watching. This would be final step after you wash your car. If some accidentally gets on your paint, you can wipe it off using a quick detail spray. Thanks for being a part of the Chemical Guys family, MrJimmyJoe, and stay tuned for new videos headed your way soon!

    what is the exact difference compared to using a vaseline or any other oily substance? seems that the trim gel can be rubbed off with a degreaser pretty easily.

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, thanks for taking the time to watch this. Vaseline is slimy, and slippery. Also because Vaseline is oil based, it will leave stains, and residue. Our products, hydrate, add shine, and dries very quickly.

    Is it ok to not tape off areas you don’t apply the trim gel?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Tire and Trim Gel will easily wipe off of paint and glass if accidentally applied to these areas.
