    Where to get the Cerakote Trim Restorer:
    15% Off:
    $16.88 on Amazon for a 10 pack!
    www.amazon.com/shop/landcruis...
    After 2 decades of using every possible Black Trim coat, I FINALLY found the best trim coat product.
    This is for the black plastic trim on any car or vehicle, that inevitably turns chalky gray or white over time.
    This is an easy to use wipe on system (wear a glove!) directly to the plastic.
    The results are not only instant, but lasts for years.
    I have been using this product for 2 years now and vehicles that I applied the trim coat to ate still looking 100%!
    I live in the California sun, which beams down incessantly, with barely a cloudy day break.
    Here is where you can get the Cerakote product:
    linktr.ee/cruisingtheland
    (under amazon products)
    Also if you want the best Aluminum polish, I tested a dozen products and found the very best one.
    The Blue magic can be found in the same link about in my suggested Amazon products.
    Here is the video showing the best Aluminum wheel polish:

    The best way to get the perfect long lasting results is to wash the car, decontamination using isopropyl alcohol, then apply when dry. Love this product!

    This is excellent and Walmart sells it. I’ve been a detailer for 25 years and prep is so important. Clean with rubbing alcohol first to get all the old products off. Will stay good for years and at least 100 washes.

  • @LTTUSA
    @LTTUSA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    The product is phenomenal and lasts for years even on a vehicle that lives outside in the sun and extreme heat ONLY
    If you follow the directions and properly prep the surface first.
    Secondly, make sure you are careful not to allow any streaking when applying with a new applicator sheet. Any streaking will dry with high and low spots or differences in coverage.
    This product is a Ceramic liquid product and once dried cannot be removed without sanding. There is you can apply to it that will remove it without damaging the plastic.
    Make sure it looks perfect when you apply it.

    This stuff is hit or miss. On the cowl, like this video, it worked great. On my front bumper where the plastic was smoother, it made a mess. Spotting and streaking everywhere. Was hoping it would be gone by now, but dam it’s holding up.
    Ax far as getting it on the paint, it’s a ceramic coating. If it cures, have fun getting it off.
    Honestly, the applicators suck. The wet wipe style is trash for a product like this. The coating automatically transfers to your gloves, then watch what you touch.

    I have used this from his recommendation and it really does work that good! DO NOT get it on your white paint as it stained mine. Even the Toyota single stage white. Just be careful of that. My detailer couldn't get it out after buffing the paint. Anyone who knows how to get that out, I am all ears. Great product, though.

    • @CruisingTheLand
      @CruisingTheLand  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Glad it worked, sorry to hear about the white paint... Hmmm, it does say 200 washes.. I wonder if you use Unisolve to remove off the white? Single stage paint very different than paint with clear coat. I haven't had that experience. I suppose tape off either blue tape to be extra sure it doesn't touch paint. Try very light wet sand then buff with 400 Menzerna (best compound).

    • @redraif
      @redraif 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Completely diff products. This is a ceramic coat. Solution Finish is a restoration product with milled carbon that "dyes" the faded plastic back to original black. To see head to head search for comparison videos. I know Apex detailing did one & scott HD (I think) I'm searching & learning about these for my Saturn Vue with faded plastic. How the 2 products compare will depend alot on what the plastic is made of. There is a nissan exterra that used the Cerakote product on all plastics. Some held up some faded again horrible in 1 year. Its very dependant on the plastic.

    Do not put on smooth trim! It will start flaking off in about 2 years. It does last well on textured trim. Attention2Detail has a video about it. Throughly cleaning the trim is a must, or you won’t get good results. There is nothing you can do to remove it once it is on, so making sure the trim is clean is essential.

    Peanut oil. Clean black trim. Wipe oil on, give it five minutes, wipe it off. Lasts for months, doesn't attract squirrels (my main concern), looks better than any cheap or expensive auto product I've tried, costs almost nothing. This is basically overpriced nonsense. I tried this product and it doesnt last long.
    I ended up going to the store buying a can of $4 Rustoleum paint that is used for plastic patio furniture that already has the primer withthe paint mixed, got a high density foam roller and sprayed the paint into a cheap plastic paint tray and then rolling the paint on. Just make sure to use painters blue tape and mask your cars painted surface off really good and right up to the edge. Some people will tell you to sand it and go through all this hassle. All I did to prep was get a terry cloth and use 91% rubbing alcohol to remove all the dirt and oils and went over it twice until towel didnt show any dirt. So dont waste time removing bumper, sanding or any of that its unnecessary and waste of time.
    It didn't look so great when it was wet, but when it dried it leveled out and looks brand new no streaks or fade. If the paint can withstand the sun beating down on patio furniture it surely can stand the sun beating on the car plastic. Its been on about 5 months so far and many car washes, mud, bugs and heavy sun and still looks like the day I painted it. No need for all the potions and overpriced junk.

      Depends the plastic you apply it on. Patio plastic is not the same as car plastics. There are hundreds of different types of plastic. I agree, for patio furniture, break out the Rustoleum rattle can. But not for vehicles!
      2 years on my LX570 black rear kick plate and sun besting down on it, and weather and washes and still looks like new. No risk of chips. Imagine I sprayed that!?!

      @@CruisingTheLand The paint I am talking about bonds to all plastics, not just patio furniture. BUt I referenced that because it has image if a patio chair on the label.
      Of course there are different plastics, but you think they make special paint for every single plastic formulation? C'mon, give me a break.
      All I was saying is there is an easier way that produces OEM-like results. As a matter of fact, I only painted the rear facing part of the plastic and was able to leave the side that wasnt faded as it was because the paint matched the OEM color perfectly.

      Ok, paint your rear kick plate on a lift gate SUV, and drag groceries, school bags and luggage over it and let us know how l that goes on your painted plastic

      Your missing the whole point of this product, it takes a matter of minutes to do your whole car and it looks great, what your talking about can take a whole weekend and it will end up eventually fading just like the plastic, both methods work but yours is 10 times the amount of work and time and when you add up the cost of paint and tape your not even saving much money.

    Don’t use this product. I will turn to crap in a week. You can’t get it off you will have to re paint. The company is no help at all.
