    Growing vegetables most of the year around sounds very appealing.
    Thanks for hosting such a inviting video.

    As an 11b Subtropical region, it's just right for coconut palms, pineapple and banana trees if you've got space for them. Rose bushes will literally climb the walls.

    Hi Stephanie! You have a wonderful Channel. I am a 62 year old soon-to-be retiree from Minnesota who moved to New Mexico 4 years ago. Now I'm considering the move to Ocala Florida. I absolutely love your channel so far. I also used to sell real estate for a bit from 2007 to 2012. Your channel is very informative and I can't wait to watch more of your videos. 💖💜💖

    It's too hot here in Ocala and I have to drive 24 miles round-trip to get a cup of coffee from Wawa so you'll put a ton of miles on your vehicle here in Ocala. And buy a house in Marion Oaks Ocala and you'll be paying big time taxes. That's how they treat senior citizens here in Ocala

    Folks, I believe the type of ant she's referring to is Fire Ants. They are pretty amazing in that, they can crawl on you without being noticed, then send a sent or some type of signal to bite at the same time. When you are outside, just watch where you step. Thx.

    Not any hotter in Florida than the rest of the east coast in summer with exception of very far north new England states. The entire south and eastern states are hot and humid. And some of the Midwest have terrible humidity.

    Does Ocala have vaxx mandate? Are religious exemptions really allowed, or just given lip service and denied? Thanks in advance.

    • @StephanieSellsOcala
      @StephanieSellsOcala  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ocala does not have a vaccine mandate. As a matter of fact vaccine mandates are prohibited in the entire state of Florida. Private employers may require their employees to be vaccinated, but they are also required by law to allow a number of different exemptions to the vaccination policy.

    Why do schools have such low scores?

    Whats the mask and covid situation right now?

    • @StephanieSellsOcala
      @StephanieSellsOcala  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Covid's everywhere, of course, but I don't think that we're getting hit hard as most other places. We're certainly not in a lockdown situation. Schools are open, and masking is mostly voluntary, except for places like hospitals, nursing homes, and such. Obviously some private businesses require masks as well, but it's up to them. Out and about, I'm seeing about 50% of people masked up on a regular basis, with the other 50% only masking when they have to.

      @@StephanieSellsOcala We dont know yet. We usually come down every year to see family, but havent the last two years because of the covid stuff. We have stayed on the farm up north and avoiding mostly all of it. We think this time we might look for a place and if we fall in love with it and its in budget and finances are proper, I might sell the farm. Im 45 and it gets harder and harder to maintain in -40 degrees -60 windchills each year. Harder every year. So we might. Its on the table.
