I bought a Crewmen set awhile back. I'm wondering if those combined with these new Tribals would make a more light-weight/portable game demo set for Ghost-Arc or Blood & Plunder...
I really need to get my hands on some Frostgrave kits. Even if I cant convince my (very beleaguered) friends to play Frostgrave in place of Kill Team I can still use them for DND or something else.
Got myself a box of them along with an Heritor and Warden and i love them. Plan on building 10 without tiki masks and 10 with tiki masks, so i'll be able to play as a warband an encounter another tribe in the random encounters or part of the scenarios... As for myself, the only plastic box for Frostgrave that i didn't like were the Lizardmen (did not like how they looked assembled...), i rarely say this, but i prefered their metal versions... Thanks for the vid guys!
I think my main three reasons for not getting this kit is: 1) the oversize weapons, even by normal fantasy measures, 2) the bodies look a bit more relaxed and "just standing there" than I would like, and 3) I really don't have the time for yet more Frostgrave Warbands...
I agree with gerry about the offhand, but I think he could have snipped the weapon off the arm he used and it would have left an acceptable clenched fist. he shouldn't really have to do that though.
Thanks for the clip, I was in doubt whether I should buy the set or not, and now I know for a fact that I do not want it in my collection. I miss a lot of things, female warriors, and som better head pieces , aiming pieces to the boue, and so on. If i end up buying it at some point, it will be for the parts to use on other kits.
@Gerry mcCabe awesome thank you for the indepth reply. My question mainly is for tournaments as I hear some blood bowl minis released on kickstarter would be legal to play with. Im quite new to this stuff and I currently play in heroclix tournaments the universe differences is always interesting to me. ive taken up painting for quite a few months and really enjoy it and would like to dabble into more games like this to get the best of all worlds i guess you can say. i like the idea of team building with point costs and the measuring sticks as a added mechanic along with diorama setups. i guess it would all come down to a basic translation in the end that merges them all at said tournament(given if i come across one) where certain minis are allocated as certain gunman or deffensive types (even if they are from diff games or manufactures?) not sure if thats a thing aahah. i guess a big part of me would like to be able to just use star wars legion against warhammer given if they were similar unit builds. I currently got my hands on a pledge for the edge of dawnfall package for the minis hope down the road to use them for other custom games. so much to consider when starting up a game with sets or expansions. but for wargames i was thinking starting with star wars or something steampunky(not sure what exactly yet) *just noticed your one of the people in the video awesome stuff!
I am a big lover of Frostgrave and have a number of the dedicated FG sets of figs. I find that they are good value for money, but I think the sculpts on all the official FG miniatures is a bit soft.
well a look in to just fore the bits bin think of getting guys to do say some kaos maroders or tribes fore WHFB but wish had amazons thats like see and see more as post more
These are really enjoyable reviews and very helpful. But I have to point out, from an archer’s (wincing) point of view, you don’t ‘fire’ bows. You fire firearms. Bows you shoot; you release the arrows etc. But you don’t fire ‘em. It’s the wrong word, officially.
They seems ideal for generic warm climates "savages", in metal North Star has made other characters, also female, with a little kitbash some could pass for " primitivized" humans for Stargrave!
I really enjoy that the legs come already with a sort of base.
Since they mentioned making an army of these guys I can't stop thinking about it
Ive never played the frostgrave game but i love the kits! Kinda tempted to use these for Warlords of Erewhon
Always enjoy the unboxing videos and your thoughts on the models. Thanks
Got lots of uses for some models like these will have to see about picking some up.
Unfortunately I don't have time to play/learn a new gaming system but those frostgrave minis do give me some nice kitbash ideas.
gotta admit, never cared much for frostgrave itself but they make some great kits for Pathfinder!
I bought a Crewmen set awhile back. I'm wondering if those combined with these new Tribals would make a more light-weight/portable game demo set for Ghost-Arc or Blood & Plunder...
The Frostgrave boxes look so good for build options... If I wasn't already swimming in lead and plastic I'd sure get some.
I haven't looked at the actual frostgrave minis yet, haven't expected that amount of content, they look really neat!
I really need to get my hands on some Frostgrave kits. Even if I cant convince my (very beleaguered) friends to play Frostgrave in place of Kill Team I can still use them for DND or something else.
Hmm, I can see all sorts of use for these in Pulp scenarios... and between Pulp Alley and 7TV Pulp...
Frostgrave!!! Wait, I can't use these in my Frostgrave. They are not dressed for the cold. Maybe as statues and terrain pieces.
Likely need some green stuff here as that darn model with the two handed weapon being slightly off on its hold to the thing would drive my OCD nuts!
I quite enjoy all the Frostgrave unit boxes they have released.
I love these models and I love this game. A nice, easy to get into, mini wargame with a low cost of entry. Love it.
I love Frostgrave boxes. Lots of options.
These look like lovely little models
It's a nice set. Love the work they did to the minis

I am liking these plastic kits, just picked up some others for Frostgrave. I am also hoping for a box of gunslingers for Dracula's America.
Really love frostgrave... excelent unboxing guys!
I'm wondering if can use those guys to make a Turok vs Dinosaurs and snakemen-like scenario.
I think my main three reasons for not getting this kit is: 1) the oversize weapons, even by normal fantasy measures, 2) the bodies look a bit more relaxed and "just standing there" than I would like, and 3) I really don't have the time for yet more Frostgrave Warbands...
You guys should do the snake men from this set. Im really interested in how they look
Well those are freakin cool! Totally missed these before your video. One more thing I've got to smuggle into the house past my wife...
Really like these kits so many choices.
Nice kit, aces for bits bashing.
Looks interesting, certainly lots of options.
A mix of aztec/ Incan and African tribes. Different and neat.
Its an interesting and useful addition to the game.
Not sure on these minis but I've seen some really nice ones for frostgrave
The models are nice. Can see this being amply used in rpgs indeed, like in Dragons Conquer America :) where they will fit absolutely perfectly.
Cool, very interested in this game since it got profiled on Black Magic Craft.
I was exited about this kit, but after seeing this unboxing they moved to "meh - maybe buy" instead of "will buy"
Those look like the would be fun to paint.
Lovely, lovely, more plastic goodness.
These look amazing!
They look pretty cool
Justin is going native on us
Love frost grave great unboxing keep up the great videos😀
I like me some Frostgrave and something for the crew to kill off and loot
I agree with gerry about the offhand, but I think he could have snipped the weapon off the arm he used and it would have left an acceptable clenched fist. he shouldn't really have to do that though.
All the Frostgrave kits from NorthStar are a kit bashers delight.
Love me some frostgrave
Woot stuff looks awesome
Like the masks- so many options
Great editing
Thanks for the clip,

are there a fair amount of these war game style mini sets that work together? like warhammer vs diff universe?
@Gerry mcCabe what would you say are the best merging universes for wargames? thanks for the reply

frostgrave is great but nobody in my area plays sadly.

You can cut the weapon out of the hand of the bow holder 😁
Magic mushroom powered tribal men ^___^
Just clip the hand weapon off?
look nice figures
Mmmm imagine using these for games set on skull island
cool models :-)
As my games of Frostgrave aren't as frosty they would be nice as warband..
Looks good
I Love the mini
good stuff

They don't seem to have as much detailas some of their other kits... very nice mind you... just not as much detail...
they dont really seem prepared against frost......
Is it cannibalism if I eat a alien

And Gerry is sitting.... WHY?!?!?
To rest his weary knees.
Hey
Hi
The skinhead doesn't seem very interested!!
I dont like these minis :(
