  • My second arrow gun made from a Daisy pump bb gun, works great and the how-to is coming soon, the great thing about this version is that it is a super easy build.

    I’ve made a few of these guns already. I just upped the pressure to 1800 out of a hpa tank and am getting over 280fps with 100gr field tips. I beefed up the build a bit to handle the higher pressure. Thanks for sharing this with the community!

    im ready to do this tomorrow but i am struggling to locate places to fill tanks around me. might be pointless but this is a great idea! prolly the most versatile legal weapon i can think of.

    With a small game head on the arrows this would be a decent little rabbit or squirrel gun! It certainly is accurate enough. I mean, you did a Robin Hood without even trying!

    Just curious, as i am building one strictly for the use of the arrows, and will be building a custom wood stock for my setup because i want it to look nice and not like plastic everywhere. The cocking lever is obviously very cheap looking which brings me to my question. Is it really necessary to re-cock every time after shooting arrows as there isn't actually anything in the chamber. The only purpose of the bolt when using the arrows is to prevent air escaping out of the chamber which obviously would prevent the arrow from going anywhere. I am curious if you could just seal off the pellet entry (chamber) completely and remove the need of cocking all together. I would like to avoid adding the cheap looking cocking assembly to my device if i can. Your advice and input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

    I think that is the coolest thing I've ever seen as far as air guns go. Really cool! Do you have any idea how much pressure is going into the chamber? I was just curious if you've had any problems with the exhaust valve opening on it's own, or with it springing a leak from the extra pressure. If not, that is awesome, and you could even build PCP out of that gun I guess. Anyway nice video and really cool build you have there

    • @Themanscave
      @Themanscave  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trevor Jameson thanks man and I think it is around 300 but no more than 600 lbs. I believe that’s what paintball tanks regulate to. And I haven’t had any problems, it is a pretty small chamber.

  • @MasterK9Trainer
    @MasterK9Trainer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I was unaware of these airgun projects. Nice to see something by you again.
    I would add a couple of small air pressure gauges. Palmer's Pursuit Shop in California sells an adjustable pressure regulator for paintball. If you used one of those, I think you could automatically regulate the pressure (Amount of air) and that would make it unnecessary for you to manually to open the ball valve. And secondly you'd know how much pressure is in the gun's reservoir, how much gas is in the tank and it would be consistent.
    Second idea, would be to create a secondary air reservoir thus one for the arrows and one for shooting pellets.

    to make a home made target use cling wrap and plastic shopping bags
    cling wrap is used for wrapping goods for transport so shops throw it out bu the bag full
    place in a box and after many shots just wrap around with more clingwrap

  • @gui7294

    Hi friend what do you use as a target to absorb the arrow? (What's inside the cardboard box?)
    What is the diameter of your arrow and barrel?

    So, I can do just the gas conversion if I want? I don't have a CO2 semiauto and the can is small (no valve!), and don't like the slowness of breakbarrels; but a pump daisy is too slow as well; but if I use the gas, could I just shoot pellets?
