    Those 922's are hard to find here in the US. I've got an 880, made in 1990. It too is a nice one; has some zoom to it. Nice show.

    nice boys and a great little fix . not that i am an expert at all but i thought engine oil was a petroleum product so if it gets forward into the chamber you could get a bit of dieseling . but u could be wrong there . definitely a massive improvement in the fps and not a bad little plinker at all

      A dieseling daisy, now that would be fun! You could be right, but i think the oil would have to be physically compressed to ignite, as in a springer. Dont think its possible to diesel what is in effect a pcp. But tbh, i dont know for sure.

      @@ShootfishProductions You are correct, it is impossible to diesel a pump pneumatic air gun. People just need to think it through, to understand why a springer can diesel and a pump gun can not.

    Do you notice that the stock is slightly loose? i’m sure it’s due to age and use. its slight but if your fussy like me you notice it.
    I’ll try to come up with a way to tighten it up

    • @ShootfishProductions
      @ShootfishProductions  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mine seems ok, should be easy to tighten it by wrapping tape round the bit that goes in the receiver?.

    Great video...! Can you share the size of the o-ring you used to shim? I tried a Danco #10, and it seemed to make the fit too tight. Thanks for your time..

    • @ShootfishProductions
      @ShootfishProductions  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks, and sorry, I have no idea of the size. I had a selection box of o rings and done trial and error. Since that video I designed and 3D printed a rubber insert that works really well. If you are in the uk I would send you one if you pay the postage. Or I could email you the stl file if you know a 3d printer owner.

      @@ShootfishProductions, sad to say, but I'm in Northern California.. I recently picked up an older 880, that had many issues...! But the chamber seal is the main issue.. I found that the Danco #9 is the proper fit to shim with. The Danco #10 flared the old seal too much, not allowing any air into the pressure area. Funny how the slightest size difference can mess with the whole operation.. So I think I have it figured out for now.. But I have to say, your video got me there.. Thanks again, and Happy New Year to you and yours...

    Where does the little silver spring go on the 880

      Not sure, but there are diagrams online with exploded views. Google "daisy 880 schematic".

    The reload isn’t wobbly and I have a thin long spring that felt out while dissambling do you know where it belongs?

      sounds like the index spring for the pellet clip.

      If its not the chamber seal, its either the chamber o ring, or the valve o ring.

      Hi Phil, not all models are sold in all countries, I cant find one either. Contact your local gun shop and see if they can order 1 in for you.
