Bought a 2007 Camry Hybrid 4 yrs ago for $6800 with 120,000 miles. Now has 300k and all I've done is oil changes. Most reliable car I've owned still going strong.

I’ve put 70,000 miles, not a single issue MA.
      MPG: 43 City/39 Highway.

@@zainsafdar6744 you got a good deal on yours. Excellent. I bought a 2013 ford fusion hybrid for a similar price with slightly less miles. I'm at 183k miles now and no issues. I love hybrids. Ford actually partnered with Toyota on the engine so it's a Toyota essentially. I get 43-44mpgs combined still and that's a lot of highway driving.

I'm using a rental and it sucks, I'm paying $1104 a month for a rental that isn't covered for personal use and not fully covered as a driver. So I'm looking to finance something new.

Hey what's up Jay. Richie here and I also do ride share here in the Bay Area. I just subbed your channel and I really liked this video because it is very informative. I recently bought a Honda HRV 2024 from Victory Honda in San Bruno. The salesman that sold me the car was that same person you described as "someone who wants to make the sale" and he also didn't ask for any tax documents . Just thought I'd share that with you. Anyways, I'll be looking forward to more of your new videos as well as the ones here already. Thanks bro, have a great day since summer has been very good and very warm to us all here in the Bay Area.

Congratulations on the new car! How much does it cost?
Most important before buying used car, is to have it checked out by experienced and honest mechanic. If driver drives as much as you or Gio-ridesh-rev, then paying of a car shouldn't be a problem. For X, Toyota or Honda. Honda has somewhat weak automatic transmission. For long term, over 100-130k, the hybrids become more expensive to maintain. Just because of the battery and generator. And not many people know how to correctly work on them. Buying used hybrid is a huge risk. Obviously if driving in stop and go traffic, hybrid runs on el mostly and recharged from the brake heat, but if driving with 60mph, the car runs on gasoline only. For XL- only Sienna. If Odyssey doesn't have manual, you're doomed. For higher ends, Lexuses or Toyota. Everything else is waste of money and time. If one earns about 2000 a week, paying a car is easy, with long hours of work.

In a lot of situations if you have the cash to pay in full it’s not the best use of capital. It’s generally beneficial to make a down payment take the loan and invest the rest of the money which ideally appreciates at a rate higher than the loan.
I know this is a 3 year old comment but you’ve noticed the record inflation the last few years. Given the inflation rates if you managed to get a new car for dirt cheap interest rates like some people that got 2% loans and put your money elsewhere to work for you come out ahead. Last year inflation was around 9%, from last year to know its been an extra 4%. If you had a cheap loan you in essence got some free money.

From what I hear...a super busy uber and Lyft driver can make maybe 50 to 60k per year after all expenses, taxes, etc. Which is ok if your option is retail or fast food which does not pay $20-$30 per hour which is what you make as a driver. The whole concept was derived for those who would literally do this a little here and there....not as a full time gig.

Buying a car for ride share is stupid because you quickly drive it into the car into the ground. Renting is a better option as insurance and maintenance is their problem. I turned a $20,000 into a $5000 in no time. Most banks won't even talk to you if you are a rideshare driver.

If you have really good credit and have an established payment history, including a car loan, mortgage, some credit cards, they don't care what you do fro a living, as long as it's not illegal, of course. I've bought 3 cars from CARMAX in the last 8 years, 2 of them financed through them, and the last one I paid in cash. Not once did they ask for my proof of income, or any kind of documentation, they just approved me in like 5 minutes and was all based on my credit history.

The car salesman went Hmm, when you told him you made around 100K a year!
You would think that he would be falling all over himself to complete a deal with a guy with that income, and a 750 FICO score.
If he would have Hmmed me, I would have been out the door!
I'm looking for a new car, and I have an even higher FICO score, but after watching this video, I am feeling uneasy about what lies ahead.
I have never had any issues before, and don't ever remember having to provide tax returns, or W-2 forms, as it seems that if you have good credit you can get anything you desire within reason.
Maybe CA is different, as I see all these places around my town guaranteeing financing for anyone with any credit rating.
I just spent an hour shredding all of the credit card offers that I get in the mail each week, so I guess somebody thinks I am credit worthy!

This is true fact that uber not only squeeze the driver but it also snatch the money from riders. With the trend of cutting the driver incentive uber have become 75% are of part timer job which is not a good sign. Secondly uptill now their is only 2 companies operating gig tech business n we don't see arrival of new companies as price uber offers are taking uber into ditch thats why any news comes of uber business will not effects the stock towards upward. This indicate that investers who are the blood provider of uber business are not interest in investing in uber. Now wait n see what is the consequences of california judge decision and London court outcome. In very near future uber must give clear path to profit for which they have to offer better working ethic to drivers.

I have only been driving for two weeks and the first one was in a rental. I did decide after week one to purchase a new car. I had even just recently quit my not self employed job. I was able to find a dealer that wanted to sell me a car and after a test drive and plenty of conversation. I was financed and in a new car, 2019. This video is good info. Banks will turn you down unless you are a gem when trying to get pre-approved. The dealers have more ability to find financing if they feel like things are cool.

Why would you need a small loan given your income?

Just bought a car today 10/9/21 All I gave them was 3 years of tax forms from Uber my driver's license and $6000 with a credit score of 500 and and bad debt because of damn pandemic didn't receive no money for 4 And a 1/2 months into the pandemic credit cards were already delinquent by time I got money before pandemic credit score was 720 even with all of that I still got the loan . The car I had was rearranded 2 weeks ago the frame was bent the insurance total the car paid me $6000 So with those 3 things you can buy a car working for Uber Driver's license cash and tax forms Pick it up Monday One more thing I had to pay the taxes that I owe in the cars that I have now In Connecticut we pay yearly property taxes to drive on the road. 7 year driver going on 8 this will be my 3rd car still have 1st one 208000 thousand miles. Hope this helps Everyone🙂

If you owe your yearly property taxes on your car you won't be able to register car with motor vehicle until they're paid in Connecticut
