@BounceChord ya thats irritating doing post production. With OBS it bounces to one file , you just need a plug in for your interface if you're using ASIO audio on your computer. I prefer this method because I can use multiple/different cams and it saves space on my phone

  • @synthsoniq

This is awesome. I'm a big fan of the simplified setup as well. I have a little mixer just like your Mackie, the outputs go straight into a handheld Zoom R4 digital multitrack recorder and I'm good to go. That tiny recorder does pretty much unlimited stereo overdubs and bounces, so I can jam, overdub if I want, and never have to touch a laptop or DAW. I'm definitely going to have to try overdriving the preamps in my mixer. Cool idea. Happy New Year!

I have gone minimal with my set up now. One synth for sub, one for bass or mid bass, one for lead, two drum machines and two desk top synths for percussion.
Btw way, people who say dawless sound like what vegan sound like when the lecturer people about why they don't eat meat.

The the DAW was born and the hippies and rockers thought this was evil, even some people from the electronic music scene realised it wasn't for them either.
The broke off preaching how good and righteous it is ........
      The called themselves the DAW-LESS.

Multitracking, using a daw at all, couldn’t be less appealing to me
Everything goes into the Allen and Heath r16 mixer, into octatrack, the. Art pro vla 2 compressor and i record the resulting stereo mix via the interface
I even have every individual mixer channel routed to my pc via adat from mixer to evo 16 (and back, if I want), but I much prefer the sound and easy intuitive organic nature of an analog “live” mix
Sounds so much better to my ears
