Well done man so rewarding putting In the time and getting the rewards. There is a more rewarding feeling when you catch your own bait and hook up on it!
thank you so much man haha yea i spent lot of time and effort on those livies haha its hard work but rewarding as when it all lines up
@@BasicFishingNZ very welcome bro look forward to future uploads I've been watching your content for yearrrrrs

Very productive little channel and some nice fish landed. I think I spotted your fish trap in the water as well :)
well its a hit and miss situation haha yea but the trap didn't work that day
Well done mate, great job
Thank you! Cheers!
You make it look so easy
haha trust me it aint easy lol
Brilliant little fishing session that one, it's brutal how those snapper bite the heads of the live bait. Have you tried hooking the little mullet up through the the month? There's a little white line on the roof of there month that acts like a guide for hook placement.
Great video! Thanks again.
i had before but found prefer hooking it through the tail or the back of the head mainly cause it doesn't rip off too easily via cast
Wow that’s a good fish 🎣
thank you!
Very cool dude congrats
Thank you man!
Wow nice catch, that was great haha
Thanks!
Very nice fish bro , I was told when the rays nere by kingy around 😊
What a day my bro !
Yes it was!
Bloody beautiful!!!!!🤩🤩🤙👌mate looks good!!!!! Too nice 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work 💪
Thank you very much!
Wow😮
Glad you released the smaller snapper. You should put your rods closer together they only need to be half a meter apart.
might give the closer gap a try just hate getting tangled
Hi mate text book fishing I really enjoyed the vid as did my wife who is not an angler Great photography and audio Keep up the good work Better than all the Hollywoods on TV 👍👍
aww thank you so much
Nice pannie👍
A 10lb snap is usually 64cn in length
Good fish
Thanks for the info
Hi Peter, beautiful spot and a great session. Well done on the rat Kingy. Nice Snapper as well.
The live baits are working well.
Cheers Kevin (Taranaki)
thank you so much!
Awesome video bud. What area is this?
In the morning
good tip for live baits: use 2 hooks. hook one through the nose and one through the dorsal fin. that way you wont lose the heads like that.
i had tried that method b4 but sadly haven't had any results yet
@@BasicFishingNZ oh well, hopefully you find something that works just as well
hi mate cool video where did you get your cast net from?
sailor's supplies
Good to see that there're decent sized snapper in that area.
its hard work getting snapper
I never saw anyone catching fish in such a shallow water
haha that makes two of us
Wah ikan besar
What is the name of bait fish you caught?...Pilchards?
yellow eyed mullet
HOW I AM THE FIRST COMMENT AGAIN GREAT VID
Legend!
nice fish bro. is this in Auckland or out of Auckland?
its in auckland
If you hook the live bait in the tail, in swift current it can drown them. Far better behind the head or front lip to keep them pointing into the current. More natural as well. But seems its working either way :) Another great video. Well done. On throwing the smaller ones back.
cheers for the comment.
what bait is best
yellow eyed mullet
Why did you throw the kingfish back?
because it was undersized
@@BasicFishingNZ wow they must have to be big? Sorry new to fishing just found your channel to try get some tips and I keep hearing about the Kingi. Thanks
75cm from the the tip and to the v of the tail
Did you buy a license to fish that river mouth?
no cause it doesn't have any sports fish like trout
What live bait 😅?
yellow eyed mullet
I love all your videos mate no matter if you don’t catch it’s still awesome to see your giving it a go 👍
Thank you so much!
