    • @TheLoreofBushcraft
      @TheLoreofBushcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, 14kilos/30lbs.
      A Pack Basket helps to round out the ruck so it doesn't feel like a 12-year-old kid hanging on your back, but adds weight.
      I would suggest ordering the belt from Frost River as well so the way it will stabilize and load bare on your hips.
      The Ruck was made for a minimum kit, because of a Bushcrafter would craft most of the items they need out in the field.
      Hope this helps

    Class is in, and let me tell you, this is not for everyone. As for myself, I've enjoyed bushcraft all my life. My grandmother had 13 brothers and sisters, and they all practiced bushcraft. Our family preferred cooking outside on a regular basis. This man reaches into my heart and sole. He and I could surely be BFF.

    I also have many of the things you use with me. I especially love the Gränsfors. You can move much more freely in nature than we do here in Germany. There are too many prohibitions here.

    • @TheLoreofBushcraft
      @TheLoreofBushcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, yes, I really happy to be able to move about in the States. Back in Britain it was hard to move about as well, save if you were in Scotland, but there are very little tree's, and therefore no wood. So it's sort of defeats the purpose of being a Woodsman and using an Axe like the Gransfors Bruk.

    Nice boots. I like the waxed canvas as an material but those canvas packs rucks without an frame or suspension are garbage and a ripoff in your community. Darn things are torture devices and in steep big terrain they are downright awful. I used them long time ago in the forest service and came to hate them. A better solution is to team an canvas bag up with an pack frame like Bul Pac or an Nimrod frame or any external frame.

    • @TheLoreofBushcraft
      @TheLoreofBushcraft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Aaron, yes they can be torturous, that’s why I placed a Pack basket inside that particular bag to give it to rigidity, otherwise it hangs like a 12-year-old child on your back. Really makes a huge difference. If you see my newer videos, you will my new ruck that it has a padded Lumbar support. It was designed with ease of carry at the forefront. It cost me nearly a grand, but it is worth it. I am now completely satisfied and have no issues ( I can run with it packed out). The boots are great, thank you!
