Nagualero, I love this video and it's almost like you were performing magic...pulling rabbits out of a small hat. I'm amazed just how much gear you packed into your pack and not just small kits but bulky ones, one after another. I would estimate that your total backpack weight was about 50lbs. I am not an ultralight backpacker but I do try to keep it as tight and light as possible. At 70 weight is a big factor for me on long hikes. My pack for this weekend with food and water for 3 days weighs in at 27.96lbs. I really like your pack, too. It seems that the more used and abused a pack like yours it gets nicer looking, just like your bushcraft belt. I would love to camp with you and learn from your vast and seasoned experience.

Hi Nagualero. Great set up. Very similar to mine. One thing I do is I have my wool blanket (with a tarp round it to keep it dry) in bed roll straps to the bottom of the FR pack , I pass my equipment belt through the bedroll straps and it makes a great waist belt arrangement. Without the belt arrangement moving some of the weight to my hips it is too heavy for more than a small bimble in the woods and if I am only doing that I don't need all the kit anyway. :)

New to the channel love the video. Subscribed ans will be binging the videos. Im a couple weeks away from having enough gear to start bush crafting and going on my own adventures. I grow up ranching and farming so im no stranger to semi roughing it. But i see bush craft as more adventurous not just being a kid a mile from home in a tent. Im well aware of the risks and im prepering as much as possible channels like yours are awesome and give me the confidence to take the plung and go for it. Ive ben practicing essential skills(fire making many different methods, and building energy shelter's.) My first outing will be completely safe with cell phone coverage and gps tracking but as i continue to go i will shed the extras. Im confident but not overly so. Thank you sir for filming your outings

Great video and gears! Loads always changes with type of place you are going; in my case, I live in the desert, if I want to go out I will have ,mostly rocks, few vegetation and no water unless going up mountains where at least could have wood but no water; so my pack for a trip like this always would have at least 3 liters of water and with food that is easily 15 pounds already. I like carrying some luxuries in electronics and other things as I have not fully learned how to be selective yet on the gears I take and I tend to take things out to test, so average my pack is around 30-33 pounds. It seems no matter what I do I can not get it less than that. Water is a bummer because you can not just take too little of it, a person per day rule is 5 liters and that is almost 20 pounds!; places where there is vegetation and streams are better for outdoors I think as you can afford to go light weight relatively carrying half a liter or 1 liter of water if there is no issues to get it. If I go canoeing, my Katadyne 1 liter soft bottle filter takes care of all the water I need and keeps me hydrated without the weight! it is awesome, but trips to the desert mountains are different; hard because the weight and not to mess with; if you have no water that could be a problem.

IDK if you'll see this but: I'm thinking of buying this bag and the sleeping pad and the surrounding structure is a brilliant idea, I Love it! I do have a question though: do you know the volume of the "sleeping pad" while it's inside the bag - or more precisely the depth? I only ask as it looks like you've gotten the bag nice and stretched out whilst still retaining a straight back and their website claims the bag can almost double in volume while expanded.
