This setup is super impressive easy and relatively cheap. I was looking at some figures and found out the length of the gear box and diff is about 37 inches or 93cm and all with an ls engine it will be about 64 inches or 162 cm. These measurments are not accurate at all they are just approximations tp give u perspective. The shaft u need to buy is about 230$. If u used this thing just let me know or send a link i would like to see it in a car!!. Good luck
This is awesome!!!!!!! I was thinking of doing this the opposite way when I came across your video. I want to put a Camaro bellhousing on a corvette TR6060 and was trying to find out if that will bolt up and if the Camaro input shaft is a drop in replacement. If anyone knows if this is possible, please let me know!!!!
could i use a complete corvette transaxle but just change the bellhousing ? my question would be the input shaft spline ,could a clutch disc fit on that and also the end of the input would it go in where the pilot bushing is. basically what you have minus the camaro transmission
i have been thinking 🤔 the same way i think as Eric does ( anyone have experience with / know / willing to share if ) the bell-housing / pumpkin 🎃 happen to be the same part number or fit for the corvette t56/t56mag( i already tried the tail-housing = failure but can force it to work ( right ish length way wrong bolt pattern ) with welding or machining same with the bell 🛎 but that ones has way smaller bolt-pattern circle ⭕️ size transmission side on the bell vs tr70 ) /tr6060/tr6070 manuel transmissions? and what parts are the same as a chevy camaro style platform ie the shifter assembly ( i what a divorced shifter assembly that i can mount the shifter-boot base as far forward as i can hopefully on the floor trans hump next to the firewall out of the way basically the opposite direction 180d from how the 2013 camaro points it back to the back seats ) or the tail-shaft-housing? ( for a easy bolt-in swap ) ( odly a 1969 dodge 727 automatic transmissions driveshaft output coupler fits the splines ( and the t56 magnum's tail shaft housing seal output ) but id rather have the fixed cv style output coupler, o by the way the main-shaft so far fits without modify any of it + = the right overall length = vary little cutting and chassis welding mins the trans floor hump needing widening to make room ( i think 🤔 💭 i could be wrong for now as im not done yet i mite up date this post later after i find out ) for the bigger / taller / wider main transmission case as the backend is bigger on the t70 than the stock automatic ) as i have a 2014 mek c7 unit and im trying to fit it in a earlier 60s sold axle muscle car without the transaxle parts but keeping the Z51 faceplate ( converting the car to use a hydraulic throw-out bearing clutch style and keeping all 7-gears ) with the transmission cooler pump for track day use
+Leroy Diesel i was thinking cable, i think its about the only option, mine will be in a panel van so would have room for a few rods, but the cable will be neater, is yours in the vehicle yet, have you tried the cable fab yet.
Write me when it is in the car, and it is up, and running. I want to know what the gas mileage is going to be. I have been working on this same idea for years now but I have never come close to imagining what you have accomplished here. I really want a unit like this. Tell me; how can you make it longer to fit a pickup. I'm not into racing: I'm too old.
This set up is for sale. Im going to convert the project to an electric motor so no need for this transaxle set up now. Gas milage would have been very good with the 6 speed and a 2000# car. Don't know what you mean by "make it longer"?
No, want to build a car. Will be based a lot on the Corvette C6 suspension. My minds eye want to build something similar to this www.thetruckstop.us/forum/attachments/red_nissan_350z_wallpaper_hd-jpg.46087/

There is an old GM free-hanging transfer case that is more than tough enough for your needs. It is big, and strong, and I have never seen one break.
Divorced 205 iron case gear driven. Very very heavy and physically large.
this looks like the makings of a wild hold my beer and watch this build.
Love It!!! I want one too! I would like it in my pickup but it looks like it will only fit in a Jeep.
i am going to put it behind a 13b rotary.quick time will make a bellhousing for me
Brilliant,...stunningly brilliant. Now about that chain driven transfer case.....!?!?!!?
Very nice
Going to be a slow start, but am itching to get started.
I have wanted to do this for some time, I however never could figure out the shift linkage
Just done a quick search, pratt/miller makes a kit called mastershift that converts the T56 to use push pull cable setup
@@leroydiesel5647 Get to that point Leroy its not a poor mans transaxle its a greet idear!
sequential shifter would be better and easier to fab a remote rod extension to work with it
The biggest question is how to fix the shifter issue. With an engine in between the trans and the shifter whats the solution

Thanks so much for the information cheaper than buy a Audi or Porsche
What is the measurement from the bellhousing to the axles (center of differential)?
How much does the assembly weigh?
Also, tell me about the gearing in the differential.
To move the axle closer to the bell housing, won't you have to make a customized elongated chain and housing?

How much power will that setup take? Interested mostly in how much torque it can handle.....
man please show me how you did that and what the suspension setup going to be and look like
What engine are you planning on using with it?
What year corvette differential is used for this swap?
What’s the loop on this idea, every get it on a car???
So did it work ?! Omg !!!
LeroyDiesel you should post more vids man maybe I could buy it ! :)
LeroyDiesel how much do you want for the tr 6060?
LeroyDiesel do you have an email I can contact you directly?
LeroyDiesel did the stuff sell?
Whatever was the outcome on this? I haven't seen any updated videos. Just curious about what you done for shift actuation.
What could a person buy that for $? If you don't mind me asking.
this is exactly what i want to do but using a mustang gt500 engine and gt500 tr6060, how are you going to do the shifting
+john Richards Shifter will be in the main case (stock Camaro). I'll fab up a push/pull cable to the trans. Similar to a Porsche.

What shifter cables did you use?
Never installed it. Was going to make up some custom cables. This is for sale now.

literally doing the same shit on my datsun but with tr6070
Any update on this project?
