The HEV does not have a button for EV/HEV. That would be useless anyway, because the system needs to decide for itself when to apply electric power. The battery capacity is simply not high enough to drive more than 2 electric miles anyway. The PHEV does have such a button, but the HEV does not.
Fantastic review I have been told that my new car is on the way and on the boat from the chez Republic I ordered it mid Aug and hopefully should pick it up around 1st November . I have ordered the full hybrid ultimate panaramic roof in white and I cannot wait . My px car was a Audi A5 convertible 2018 and with the chip shortage increased the selling value lovely car but this Tucson has so much more for the money. Cheaper car insurance and not paying a staggering £500 car tax Thank you once again for a well explained review kind regards Steve
@@OsvUkVehicleSupply hi firstly since 2016 we took the plunge and go for a new car and went to Audi with a A3 convertible and had 9 faults in the first year so change to A5 convertible 2017 then 10 faults with in that next year(not good) so the dealers Area manager jumped in and got us a good A5 and now my 3 years is up and lost any faith with Audi. So was weighing up Peugeot 3008 or the Tucson hybrid and you get much more with the Hyundai and lower car tax and the chip shortage made my A5 be in a better position to part ex. @@OsvUkVehicleSupply We looked at other did not like the gearbox on the Toyota we are having the N line S lots of kit on it going for the 230ps Hybrid . got a Volvo V90 at the moment but we would have to buy for most of the extas on one and no Hybrid only a plug in with engine but lots more money but still want £420 for a elec seat 2200 for a pan roof plus lots more for other extras so the Tucson came top for kit 230ps its great to drive too

Like the car but front grill / head lights just don’t do it for me , headlights look weak if I get one will change grill and fit new headlights , fog labmps

I ordered my Amazon Grey Ultimate last Monday… I’ve got mild colour blindness and didn’t see that there’s a bit of green in the grey. Ooops. I’m not bothered by it, but I haven’t told the wife yet!!! 😂
Had the testdrive. Nice, lots of things to fiddle. Silent. Could not find momentary fuel consumption? Only averaged. And the rear windshield wiper: it is pretty much nexdt to uselesss, as it is really short and wipes tiny area. I had to step out to clean the rear windshield. Maybe in next models the wiper is placed in better place... I was stupid enough to try out the "sounds of forest" and rest of the drive the car opted this as first media :-( But would buy.

I've been using 2023 Hyundai Tucson highlander for 2 weeks now, and i can confirm it's a very comfortable place to be in, especially during freezing cold winter mornings.

@@enforceraw Amazon Grey is a really good colour. Thing is, there are subtle shifts in the colour all the time depending on the available light. Sometimes grey, dark grey or greenish ting - especially in the evening sun. I’ve been getting so many complements. I was going for the Dark Knight myself, but the salesman persuaded me otherwise. He was right.

@@enforceraw Well, I’ve never really used the sunglasses holder being that I wear glasses. I also have the hybrid automatic engine and the gears are press buttons - takes getting used to though. The car drives very well and the suspension is much better than the earlier model. Plus the interior is best of class. A good one to buy.
Those rear indicators are too low. The outgoing Sportage has the same issue and I don't like the indicators separate from the main cluster. Not for me I'm afraid.

Excellent, comprehensive review. Thanks. I’ve ordered the full Hybrid (not plug in) and very pleased with my decision. I echo the concern of other comments about the rear indicators being set too low, which is my only concern. Perhaps this is a “marmite” design; I like marmite and I like the whole design ethos of this.

@@iandavies9576 our dealer struggled to find our spec just a basic white in the uk unless the dealers are keeping their stock close to their chest so we had to go to the build option. Well I hope you get yours soon

Great info and video …. Kia up to yesterday they were charging a markup here in the US 3-5k more of MRSP . They don’t have enough cars to sell so they marking up . At least Hyundai which is the same company it’s not marking up prices and they have better options like 3 years free maintenance which Kia doesn’t , 3 year free blue link which Kia doesn’t . Better discounts … overall I keep going back to buy a Hyundai for the options … I recently bought a phantom black 2022 Tucson limited with tax and fees about 44k.
What's it got to do with the children they do not pay for the car so they have no Imput. When I was a child I was in car that huge c pillar Bentley jaguars daimlers etc as I child it was nice to be cocooned in the back. Even our town cars like lancia beta 2000 ,the Granada non had huge glass area. I think this rubbish about high door lines makes no difference to children total cars sales man hype.
Just got my N Line in Shadow Grey. Love it. Question: when you start the car there a series of chimes, can’t figure why? Maybe seat belt warning? I always put on belt after starting a car. But wouldn’t have thought it would warn about seat belt when you aren’t moving. Manual isn’t giving any answers either.

I like these but maybe it's my OCD but the indicators on the back of the car are set too low and are separate from the stop and tail lights. This does not look aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. The KIA Sportage has the same set up. I initially thought this has been done to conform to legislation, but cars from other brands have their indicators set higher up alongside the stop and tail lamps. Good review thanks. 😉😉

Correct useless for a HEV such a button Only usefull for a PHEV
I’ve just changed from a BMW X1 m sport to a Tuscon 1.6 Tgdi ( 230 bhp )Ultimate HEV and I can honestly say that the latter is a much better car

Best bang for your money. HEV way to go for me. PHEV is nice untill the battery is depleted and your hauling quite literally dead weight.

In Australia the Tuscon come solely in the Long Wheel Base model and as such rear legroom trumps every other SUV in the low/mid size sector.

Just got my N Line in Shadow Grey. Love it. Question: when you start the car there a series of chimes, can’t figure why? Maybe seat belt warning? I always put on belt after starting a car. But wouldn’t have thought it would warn about seat belt when you aren’t moving. Manual isn’t giving any answers either.

@@OsvUkVehicleSupply it’s ok another video answered it… it’s the seatbelt chime. Seems Hyundai wants me to fasten the belt before starting the car!

I like these but maybe it's my OCD but the indicators on the back of the car are set too low and are separate from the stop and tail lights. This does not look aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. The KIA Sportage has the same set up. I initially thought this has been done to conform to legislation, but cars from other brands have their indicators set higher up alongside the stop and tail lamps. Good review thanks. 😉😉
