Sounds awesome. Looking at getting a 2022 gt soon. Would love to get this setup. Definitely agree that h-pipes typically sound better than x-pipes. Originally when I got my gto I installed a kit with an x-pipe and it was not a deep enough tone. Sounded more European so I ordered an h-pipe and swapped it and instantly sounded throatier. Love that rumble
Love this. Thank you for taking the time to make this. This is how you make an exhaust review. Nice to hear it revved at between 2-3k as a baseline and drivebys + on road cabin. Perfection! Seems like this is the way to go. Hopefully, i dont regret the resonator delete. From what im seeing and hearing here, it gives me confidence that it's a good choice and enhances the sound of the mustang gt
Love the car man! I got a 20 401A fully loaded Kona Blue GT and I love it. I was gonna just do the h pipe as well but went with Borla S type axle back. I love it but I think the H pipe will be the next move!
The thing that has always worked for me when trying to get the sound I am looking for is chambered mufflers always sound best with a h pipe in my opinion. Straight through i always do x pipe. I definitely think the h pipe sounds best with the stock mufflers on these cars!
What sucks about normal and sport mode is you can hear the active valves rattling in the pipe. That's why I'm in track mode at all times unless i need it quiet lol
Thanks for the video! I have an ‘18 PP1 with active exhaust and I have been thinking about doing resonator delete with an H-pipe. Sounds great! I think I’ll go for it. 👌
I have a question what kind of H pipe is this ? is it steeda, roush or mbrp? because your car sound is soo perfect like what I wanted and I want the same h-pipe as yours
I have the same car/setup 2019 PP1 but with 401A package fully loaded. I bought the car and it already came with a Corsa H pipe. No need to buy anything else they sound amazing.
It can be done. The wiring is there you just need the mufflers, actuators, and have it turned on in the computer at the dealer or maybe forscan can do it. You can also do it stand alone as in rewiring the actuators to work off of a momentary toggle. There’s a full write up on 6Gmustang forum
Off question? I’m in strong debate on getting me one of these cars. Have you had any issues as far as typewriter tick or any other motor issues? And are you running the 5w20 or a thicker oil? Beautiful car man!
H pipe fan here. I prefer the deeper rumble tones.

That’s awesome man that’s exactly the video I was looking for. I’m hoping to pull the trigger on one soon. Hell yes.

I think I’m going for the H pipe setup. Thanks man, awesome video.
Glad I could help!

I 100% agree
It really helped me.. Thank you sir!!!!!!!!
Good work on this video man!

I believe it’s the roush
I have the AWE Touring catback and Love it cuz it has an H Pipe Cant Beat that Deep Down Burble !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Cool Video Bro ;)
I agree!
Great video and comparison
I love this set up! Gonna do this set up this weekend !
My normal mode doesn’t do what you said ?.
They just stay open but only part way.
Maybe it’s different with the Bullitt ?
HOA mode is a life saver
H Pipe STANG GANG 🐎🏁

To me one of the best colors ford put on a mustang 👌
Great video! I have the same car and same exhaust setup. It couldnt be any better!
Thanks man I agree!
I know this is old, but you dont have to go into settings. Just flip the switch under the stereo/on the center console thing. The one that says "mode"
Yeah but that also turns off traction and I’d rather leave that on… so basically i drive in normal with track mode exhaust
@@tecson_garage if you put in on drag mode it actually puts the exhaust on track mode with traction control on. 👌🏼
Did it pop up a check engine light after removing the resonator?
Nope
It sounds great mate
Thank you!
Mine says “ exhaust mode not available for selection “
love the vid
So this is just removing the stock resonator and adding 1 h-pipe? Where in the system does the pipe go? Thanks
Yes this removes the mid resonator which is right after the cats
Is the quiet mode still quiet enough to not piss of neighbors with the h-pipe?
Yes definitely
Not if it's a cold start lmao.
H sounds super good x sounds I little raspy but both nice
Any chance you know the name of this h-pipe? Thinking of buying this specific one, sounds great!
It’s the roush cut and clamp!
Is it possible to install the active exhaust after market same like yours i have mustang GT pp1 2021 bit i dnt have active exhaust
You would have to add a custom active exhaust in because mine has factory wiring for the valves and it isn’t programmed into your car.

I have the same set up. and call me crazy but...why does quiet mode seem to have the best sounding exhaust note? Lol!
For real! Especially at idle it’s much deaper
@@tecson_garage exactly!
What brand h pipe?
Roush
Normally people drive in normal or sport mode, not track.
👍

So far no tick🤞🤞but 2019 is really the one that had the issue and 2019+ is safe in that sense. And I’m running 5w50 bc of the supercharger.
@@tecson_garage awesome. Thanks for the reply, ill look for 2019 and up for sure.
Also if you are looking for a manual 2019 plus comes with auto rev match👍
Bruh u went to tompkins?
Yup
Which H pipe?
The roush cut and clamp
"Let's Say for the X pipe for example" what other pipe would you put? SMH IF YOU SAY Y PIPE!!!
X and h pipe are really your only two options… y pipe is only for ecoboosts in this case
От куда вы на все это заработали в таком возрасте
Nobody uses quiet mode. Buy a Prius.
Do you have stock mufflers?
Yes with the valves
H-pipe guy here, X is just to raspy imo !!
Do I hear a rattle ?
Yes under load the valves close partially and my valves are loose so they rattle a little. That’s why you don’t hear it in track mode.
Normal is louder than quiet at idle…
Uh yes
@@tecson_garage2:54 you mentioned “all modes sound about the same on startup and idle…”
In person they do at idle
Just different tone, volume is about the same
Those modes are not really meant for sound, just lower rpms to save fuel
Wot?
Nope, X pipe is better. Get a digital dash, way better.
X pipe definitely flows better but I like the sound of h better😂😂 definitely want the digital dash just a lot of money rn
@@tecson_garage
All in time. I'm sure you’ll obtain a digital dash. 😊👍🏾
Here in Australia the base GT is your PP1 and they only come with the digital dash. Was surprised to see your analogue dash.
