I loved this one, the analysis and weird lore was interesting and entertaining. The battle animation and music were top notch. And like all the best episodes the fight was unpredictable and enjoyable up to the very end. Excellent work as always Smash Bracket team!

This came out really well! Loved how fast-paced the fight was with both of them constantly slinging new powers around, wouldn't have expected anything less from these two.

Seeing this video scale Pikachu properly really fills an emorional wound I didn't know I had after years of living with Pikachu vs Blanka in the world.
That's because pikachu is actually a weak pokemon and does not stack to Blanka
I mean, Pikachu is faster but his attacks wouldn't do anything to Blanka since he's entirely invincible to electricity.
Sick video as always! The animation was awesome, it’s pretty long compared to a lot of the others and I love that because it can really show the match well and all the different interactions can be brought more into focus.
Also, as a lucario main, i’m both excited and terrified for the next fight.
Time for the usual comment. Really great sound track, animation and analysis (this really helps me to learn about the characters more, have legit no clue about some lol), hype for the two fights you shown on patron plug as well as others, and genuinely nice finish! Sad that my man Pac-Man didn't pull through (and I'm still a bit confused on why you guys used feats from the anime) but this episode is definitely on my top 3 so far. Excited to see the next episode and more fights like my 2nd best character (Ness) vs the three Pokémon. Or who in the world Pichu is gonna fight now since he isn't fighting Bowser Jr. anymore. I'm guessing Lucas but I'm not sure. Still excited tho.
That honestly might have been my favorite animation yet, it was so smooth.
Dang it, when they mentioned in Pacman’s analysis that he can shrink, I thought that during the fight, Pikachu was going to sneeze on him to grow him back up to normal size haha

it would've been cool if they gave him his ghostly adventure feats, it would've been also nice if they gave pikachu a trainer in compensation. this would've been more awesome.
ngl i was honestly expecting pikachu to lose since it just happened to look like a random wild pikachu (they literally arent a problem when you first encounter them in firered and you can just instantly fight and beat pikachus with your lvl 17 charmeleon lol i guess the pikachu in this video just happened to be experienced!)
there is no way that pikachu can also have 2 abilities at the same time (i'm referring to static and lightning rod.)
static is the ability that has a chance to paralyze your opponent when pikachu is hit by a contact move,
while lightning rod boosts pikachu's special attack once hit with an electric move
its really odd that they went with the anime feats considering they almost make no sense at all but i'll roll with it!
i was mostly expecting the pikachu in this video to have static but guess i was wrong.
The sprite work is absolutely amazing. Also, SUPE EXITED for Snake VS Joker.
Pac-Man is also equipped with the fighter mecha suit that can keep up with many of the fighters in Tekken
I’m not sure if you just hadn’t heard of it or something but Pac-Man actually had a show that makes him even more powerful, in the show instead of pellets he had berries that he would keep with him in a container that would give him multiple different abilities including fire, ice, and more, plus no matter which one he ate he would gain the ability to fly, there was also a game about him he his friends with these powers

This was one of the best animations of this channel, I got on the edge of my seat several times since I was expecting Pikachu to win at some points of the animation or Pac man to win at other points of the animation.

Ok, since we’re dealing with what is a fully trained Lucario with his range of moves, if they give him Mega Evolution, he should take it, the fight will be much closer without it
Remember this, Ryu has an secret weapon, an insta-kil move, and a power that the Street Fighter's Ultra Instinct
@@GabrielXZ17 that’s if Mega Lucario w/max speed buffs wouldn’t avoid it and outlast Ryu’s evil form, which he should definitely be able to do. Not to mention double team, another evasion move he can learn. Lucario with max speed and max evasiveness could simply just avoid a large majority of Ryu’s attacks.
@@Icy_Frost12 In canon Shun Goku Satsu (Or Raging Demon) is impossible to evade, because it attacks to the soul, only Gouken and Ryu could survive to that attack, the answer is because the had the Power of Nothingness activaded (Seth survive to it too, but that was because he doesn't have a soul)
@@GabrielXZ17 well, the main point I’m making is that Ryu has to land the attack in order to win and if Lucario is fully buffed on speed and evasiveness, that would be very hard for Ryu

You probably shouldn’t rely on the Pokémon anime when making these brackets. It’s not the most reliable thing in the world
"Cutest Little Electricity Demon" Why does that describe Pikachu so well?
This is a good fight but I was still on the fence with using the anime Pikachu and Pac Man did have other forms like Super Pac which wasn't mentioned or used along with knight Pac not being seen or metal Pac but still great animation. This match was still fun so it's a solid 8/10
When I first saw this, I thought PAC-MAN would win easily, but I forgot that we were judging Ash's pikachu, not just some regular old pikachu
Another great episode! The only thing that gets me thinking is whether that power-feat of destroying the bolder could be considered an outlier (Of course I would not know if there is more examples of this). That said I doubt it would have changed the outcome as Pikachu is insanely fast as you said (I assume there is too many examples of this for it to be disregarded)
PAC-MAN has dodged lasers many times, which is way faster than speeds they gave to Pikachu. PAC-MAN also was able to move in a realm where time time doesn't exist.
I love Pac-Man didn't give two shits throughout the whole fight.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but there is something I would like to add with Pikahcu's power and durability. In the horrible black and white anime he took an electric attack from therian thundurus, which he survived and later used the absorbed power to make a massive electro ball to destroy a temple. Knowing that you guys are using feats from the pokemon anime, I thought it best to include this.
Loved how Pac Man just so happened to use Seismic Toss on Pikachu. Pikachu looked like it was dead but I was like "nope, we have games where Seismic Toss throws a Pokemon up to space and they still survive the landing." Pac Man was gonna have to go a lot harder than that.
There's a lot of thing Pikachu shouldn't ve able to do in tge anime, simply by the game's logic. Healing himself from electricity? A feat some Pokémon can have, but not the Pikachu family. Being actually killed by a falling chandelier and coming back to life after realizing the episode doesn't have the run time for this? Nope. Unshrinking people after sneezing on them? What even?

As a Pikachu supporter, I refuse to believe a Pikachu moved 10 times the speed of sound. The bit with the flying logs, I get that, but the Pidgey scene was not meant to be analyzed and they likely didn't intend for it to be a measure of Pikachu's true speed. Their goal was dramatic effect. Maybe this scene isn't an outlier, considering he can leap off airborne objects as if time had slowed down, but I don't really know how these scenes compare. I just feel like the latter requires less speed to achieve.
I could be wrong.
Still, Pikachu clearly has greater speed, and you got the winner right in the end. A lot of Pac-Man's abilities also seem like they might be one offs? I can't say too much about Pac-Man though, I haven't played many Pac-Man games.

ink here are the rules every time you do a smash bracket without doing any research choose your character and if you guess wrong we the community get to punish you with a consequence relating to the character

Oh phew! When you said that Pac-Man eats metal to become metal Pac-Man I was worried then got even more worried when I saw Pikachu use iron tail! I thought Pac-Man would have eaten his tail and would have really caused pain to him! But good job! :)
Great fight but the animation felt off to me. Of course it was done well but, I dunno it feels like it was rushed or something.
But anyways, do you have matchups figured out for every character? What are you going to do for the last dlc character, and what if there happen to be more dlc characters after this next one on the off chance there is?
Really sick job on the animation and music as always, though honestly I feel it's kinda dirty to use the pokemon anime as a source for feats. It's so scuffed lol. Other than that, these are great
Yeah Pokemon in general is a weird franchise to use. We could use the games only, but those lead to a really weird lack of feats. We tested it out and it seemed like the best way was to handle things based off of scaling to Rock Smash or Seismic Toss, but by sticking exclusively to the games we ended up getting a Jigglypuff and Pikachu who werent *too* far off from Arceus lol. The anime was definitely the most consistent way to measure pokemon so they we dont have all of them hitting with the power of a nuclear warhead and all feeling the same lol. You could say that this video was pac-ed to the brim with shocking moments.
I see it. Think of it like a generator + a power bank + pikachu to run it all. The generator makes energy that Pikachu can then use or put in the bank to charge up & if he was to put out energy into an attack well it puts a strain on the generator or will draw down the bank it is also pikachu made power so if u can save that power outside the body then pikachu can pick up that energy & put it in his bank just as if it was from his generator. They say that a pikachu has an orgen to generate energy & that the energy is then stored in his cheeks. So the cheeks are 2 banks & somewhere else in his body is the generator & the rest of his body just channels this energy so he can make attacks.
with just this if pika was to gen some power into an attack that then loops back to hit pika it can simply go in his cheeks & then the gen can fire a new attack out with an attack from the cheeks too & if that was to loop back & hit pika then his body could channel the energy into an attack will adding more energy from the gen & even leave a bit in his cheeks & this could loop over & over & over & this way pika could rest so there is not too much strain on the gen. Where as if pika needs to use the gen too long with no rest it would do alot of damage & if the bank was to have too much power in it that would do damage too but if most of this energy is just around outside the body it can build up over time.

Question: Why’d you use anime canon? Is there anything to suggest that the fighter “Pikachu” is Ash’s or even Red’s specific Pikachu? Even in the show, the main Pikachu is far more powerful than most ordinary ones.

My only problem with this episode is that you mostly used Ash's Pikachu to see how strong Pikachu is, even though that Pikachu' is stated to be more powerful than most. I can see why that was hard to avoid though. Great video.
