As a fan of the smash bracket series I was really looking forward to this episode... And it turned out pretty solid, I do take some issue though. Little Mac vs Min Min: • Who Would Canonically ...
OK so, I made a mistake in the calcs. I used the watts formula and not joules. Using the joules formula essentially means time isn't accounted for so the number would actually be 69j/cm². So it'd actually take minmin about 100 hits instead of 19
I always found the argument that Little Mac needed a lot of punches to beat Min Min while she only needed one a bit strange, like that's the whole point of punch out.
Actual boxer here (check my channel if you want lmao} but a real life boxing tactic is to punch the arms of your opponent in order to hurt them, tire them, and take away your opponent's weapon. Mac certainly could've done something like that to Minmin. Especially after slipping a punch, since her arms would be fully extended and easy targets.
Smash Bracket is fun to watch but it has weird scaling and consistency issues that might give off the impression that it is biased. (And maybe rightfully so at times) For example, they gave Samus a Mach 21,850.76 speed at lowball and a 26.88 Petawatts AP but only a Mach 1.5 speed for Ridley and a 36.85 Megawatts AP when Ridley is one of the main antagonists of the Metroid series and is capable of keeping up with Samus. It just felt bias so Link can win. They also refused to count Diddy Kong making a small moon fall because it is an "outlier" in his fight but allowed Ness to have Star level AP from a novelization (Ness would still win against Pokémon trainer though)
They also composited a lot of characters with abilities that they didnt have, (only one being pirahna plant lmao i dont know why they fused him with every single one but at this point I'm ranting lmao)
I'll be honest, when you beat my ass on stream with littlemac, I was genuinely surprised. "The Rawmen bomber and BANE OF MY EXISTENCE" is my favorite part of this entire video. I'd like to mention, that 11.2 MPH and 14 MPH aren't far off from each other. what you got, and what they got for that exact calculation could easily vary, and there is a chance that their calculation is slightly more accurate. I'd like to mention, that at 7:37 Minmin actually does destroy *a pillar of concrete*, my personal guess is that Ink reference the wrong one. I'd suggest maybe calculating numbers for that and see what you get. Also, I believe there is a gap between the time you can activate Minmin's weakness, a grace period, if you will. There's a large period of time when it is impossible for Mac to activate that weakness.
Thank you, I tried to make this more comedic for sure. The only pillars in arms that I could think of are the ones in missango's stage which isn't concrete. It also wouldn't make sense to show the concrete slab, call it one, and have the calc be for a pillar but we have seen ink make bigger mistakes in the past. Technically there is a grace period since you can't throw a punch as quickly as the recovery but if that were the case I still say mac would be able to keep up(since the punch mac Reacted to, to get 33mph, was a 70mph punch). Not to mention super mode should've been a multiplier.

The reason littlemac got 33 mph wasn't because he dodged a punch, it's because the timer slowed down and he punched across the screen in 2 frames. He wasn't reacting to anything.
Super mode has every trait rushmode has even down to both being a roughly 5x speed increase. I'd say it's only fair to be treated the same. And we did get confirmation mac's best speed feat came from blocking/dodging great tiger's attack on the discord. Ink just put irrelevant footage over the screen kinda like the cement slab if that really was supposed to be a pillar
Yeah, I found a lot of flaws in Bracket's video, fighters in Arms cannot change the accessories attached to their arms in a match, they have to change them between rounds.
My main gripe with Smash Bracket is that they... seem to pick what they research and what they don't. Yes I am mad that they fused EVERY SINGLE LINK into one.
I also notice a certain hatred towards Mario, having Mario vs Sonic. I do forgive that because it is true, but Mario vs Megaman and Link vs Mario, I noticed a certain hatred towards Mario

In fact, they are even going to remake it pretty soon. Second, I don’t know how you came up with them hating Mario in Link vs Mario. The entire video was just following the AI-written script from one of DougDoug’s videos and the victor was not researched whatsoever. Also, their “Mario prejudice” with ignoring certain feats is absolutely being fixed in the remake of MvMM. In Luigi vs Simon, they actually used the castle-kicking feat that they previously ignored, and they nowadays include more than most people would in terms of Mario-related feats, especially with their weird obsession with Zone Time from Mario Tennis.
If I ran Smash Bracket, I would use only the abilities and equipment of the Hero of the Wild (Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom), but I would use feats from across the entire series. It makes sense because every Link is just a reincarnation of the hero’s spirit, and carries on the skill of every previous Link. Therefore, every new Link is on the same level with each other in terms of raw strength, durability, and speed

I still disagree with super sonic being faster. They likely tie in speed making it impossible for super sonic to blitz while sora could blitz regular sonic. And sora isn't just multiversal. Sora is outerversal, aka several steps above multiversal. Sora has beaten concepts beyond the KH cosmology such as the reaper and kingdom hearts itself.

I've actually taken some boxing lessons and it's actually not illegal to hit the opponent in the hand. Minmin's weakness also activates throughout her arm so if mac hits her in the shoulder it'd still disable her arms
