    Do you prefer Damage to Armor or Out of Cover on your rifles/snipers? It seems you have a mix of both.

      I’m starting to lean more to Armor. Cause enemies standing behind cover are considered in cover even if they’re not actually.

    When farming in the open world, esp vs True Sons (most of the CPs and a lot of the PEs I frequent) you end up with a lot of Carbon Fiber mats drops (not to mention gear to breakdown).
    Armor expertise uses Carbon Fiber primarily, the first 5 steps is also Polycarbonate too. Those 2 and printer filament is also what is used for Black Tusk faction mats (used for optimizing chests).
    So I end up expertising a lot of armor in builds to 12 just to avoid capping as I farm.
    My gripe with the revamp is mostly that armor is the same cost as weapons per step, and even though that has been overall reduced, in the original system the cost per step for armor was half vs weapons. So the net effect is a slight reduction in armor costs but its not really that much different than the original implementation (lvl 12 vs lvl 11 before no exotics and a small reduction in overall mats needed relative to skills and weapons which got massive reductions).
    The armor was half vs weapon but there are 6 slots for armor (and chest and pack give the most armor per level due to higher base armor value the increase is based off) vs 1 for a weapon to expertise to max. So even if you ignore that weapons are more impactful vs armor the relative cost should be 1/6 per step to make parity.
    Ah well, I guess math is hard? 🤔🤣

    All my skills, Specializations and numerous weapons are at 20. I stopped at 12 for the gear. No sense upgrading gear past 20 as the armor gained really isn’t worth the exotic components necessary to get to 20, which is only a mere 8% more armor. A Chunga could spit on ya and boom, there goes that 8%.
