People talk bad about bluescreen, but personally, I love it. People just dont understand how you use it. Think of it like Scorpio and the fact its very much support based. Its talent specializes in target delay, distraction and lockdown in some cases. Scorpio is very linear, while with bluescreen, you unload on your target(s) and you get 2 options, purge stacks or mark more and then purge. One is immediate but only effects one target, one takes more time but is more effective for you and your team and effects multiple targets, allowing for a break in damage on you and your team. Also in the amount of time the status effect is up, most likely youll have half your stacks regained and ready to purge again. Its down side is that it really likes to chew threw your ammo if you dont have a gunner with you. I have a "lady death" and " the mop" on a run n gun build that replenishes 30-40% of my armor per kill. It works pretty well most of the time unless i get surrounded. Just picked the game back up a few weeks ago and started actually making builds. Still have a lot of experimenting to do though.
Haven’t seen this, but you can get many of these exotics from buying exotic caches from the countdown vendor. That’s how I got most of my current exotics. I’m a newer player to the game and wish I could have known about this sooner. Super easy to do, just run a couple of successful countdowns and you have enough for a cache. Also, I got St. Elmo’s before I hit level 90 on the season pass. Didn’t think that was possible, but it dropped from countdown while I was targeting assault rifles when I was on level 63 on SHD and season pass.
My issue with momento is that I am a lazy player...I dont want to run around collecting things..No I choose Ninja bike bag as best exotic gear maybe im loosing some dmg but its allowed me to put together some really neat builds that would be impossible without it.
One person should use BTSU in your group. Team overcharge is excellent, also using Hard Wired + glass cannon + cluster mines with any hive is crazy good.
I would like to argue ab the chameleon, i have homie running the st elmos, and i easily pump out the same if not more damage utilizing the buffs from chameleon, go for the reload buff then the chest shots then headshots, stack it on a striker build and put some crit chance and damage on it youll easily be hitting 700k to 1.2 mil crits, yes agreed takes a second to build the stacks but on something like countdown the hunters at the beginning and the named enemies in the encounters allow to to build most stacks just from emptying a few mags on them, combine it with the memento and put some armor on it and you have a pretty decent PVE build 👍
Bro i completely agree ive been an avid ravy fan boy and trying to put owners onto its power in pve outside of raids but not many have given it a real shot. Granted its weird at first but imo it has the highest barrier to entry of all exotics obtaining and using/mastery. But also the highest skill ceiling. You can absolutely bully npcs with the explosive stagger, halt aggression, interrupt animations, and oneshot warhounds direct hp and hyena/rikers sheild carriers. And the left stack is a better bloodsucker if you're aggressive enough (you'll feel like doomguy if you use it right) and its got the added bonus of being a second way to shred through heavy, warhound, and ballistic shields. Its a niche gun but a great tool on a build. I run a dps spotter, insync build that has strong teir 2 skills while my rav serves as a great tool for when encounters try and mix it up with tanky enemies. For me the ravenous is a great for single hard targets you can stunlock unarmored enemies into literal oblivion and swiss cheese tanks. And if im facing a group of enemies just switch to left and watch the bonus armor turn me into Lt Grey while i eat npcs hp away
@@grumpyoldman6503 fr on console its a bitch but on pc its not nearly as debilitating. Honestly a huge but simple change would be to allow shoulder swapping while using the crusader sheild.

That scorpio is definitely op.. finally beat the summit with it stunning the bosses and using pulse with decoys to disable the abilities and their one-shot and forced them to stay away in cover instead of rushing. Used the flamethrower with vile mask and hunter's fury. It's a really good combo for crowd control and boss stunning, and you clear golden bullet summit floors insanely fast.. could swap scorpio out for the chatterbox, and it's insane either way.. golden bullet chatterbox go BRRRRRRRRR 😂 You can target loot for the summit and get all the set gear and I got my scorpio and chatterbox in one run to 100 floors and I only have less than 30 hours in the game most of it was taking my time with the story the dlc and side missions so when I actually started farming I was surprised how easy it was... Note.. that the green gear is easier to find on summit than exotic weapons but I still had more luck there than doing countdown or control points.. and doing the event and farming xp on summit felt fast paced for me doing other things at the same time as getting gear. Multitasking! I came from grindy games like poe warframe diablo and shit so 🤷♂️ Anyway.. hope that helps creating your swat team style floor clearing god Edit: I have to point out I always use scorpio at its best optimal range with my build cause I have to lol.. I didn't even realise 😅
Believe it or not, but the first time I ran Summit with ARs as the focus, St. Elmo's Engine was the 2nd one that dropped for me. Been using it on my default skill build ever since.
I played this game casually a long time ago, struggled quite a bit on legend, then got scorpio, started using a small shield and started flying through legendary content, beating rogue agents on legendary with multiple modifiers on like it was nothing. It's so OP, it's actually crazy it exists. Downside - made the game too easy and eventually boring, so I stopped playing lol
This video was the greatest random find from my algorithm. I would like to add for the Sanctum Imperium that it shoots like Dead Man's Tale from Destiny 2. It's a MMR that is meant to be shot from the hip. I do not know why. I do not know how. But when shooting it from the hip the Headshot Perk procs so much more easier than if you ADS. Just my two cents when I was using it. Again, great video :-)
Idk man I've been running that Diamondback lately and that thing is a beast of a weapon! Always marks the closest enemy to me and the amount of damage it does afterwards is insane. Great video though!
personally ruthless/merciless is one of my favorite weapon. Sure the kicks is bad, but the kicks fixed when used with "Braced" chest talent. It sacrifice one of most important slot, but the trade off is fair. The gun hits so hard, also with 3pcs striker it will ramp up fire rate into super fast shot. Chatterbox has interesting interaction with ninjabike kneepad where "reloading" with kneepad's parkour won't reset chatterbox's firerate buff, making you have technically infinite firerate buff as long you jump before ammo runs out. Need quite specific gear(and build to some extent) but the gameplay is totally fresh.
I'm pretty sure there was a holster that randomly sets fire to a nearby enemy. Edit: Imperial Dynasty is an exotic holster that is exclusive to WONY. It randomly applies burn to an enemy within 20m. 40s cooldown.
Great list. I've many times wondered what the 'ell all those exotics would work on and all that. I wish they'd do whay Bungie is doing in Destiny 2 and refreshing the lackluster exotics to be actually viable. In five years the game has changed enough to warrant that. If the collector in me would let me, I'd destroy most of my stash. And for the Backfire I finally got a build I love, but it's only for the incursion, as it's the only way to keep the 200 striker's stacks and the 200 stacks on the weapon itself. But it melts the enemies and 100% hazpro lets me not to worry about the fire.
Thanksfor a most valuable vid. It's not the ranking, per se, but more the rationales so you don't waste time trying to make a build around an exotic. BTW the BTSU is also invaluable in a skills build esp for statuseffects & run&gun support.
Every piece of gear on this list need can be on the top of your list like the diamond back, if you use it with an all red build with clutch and negotiator dilma, you can wreck people in the dz. Also that imperial holster you can run it with the named M4 and get 25% extra DMG to burning targets aside from the extra weapon DMG you get from expertise. All gear on this list can be reworked for greatness. I got rank 133 manhunt with the merciless and that weapon is at the bottom of your list. 🎉
Shocker punch is incredible in pvp right now, also bloody knuckles are super good too in pvp u can legit 2 melee people as long as youre in a group you can just walk up to people when they are shooting someone else... bruh the more i watch the more i realize this guys knowledge of the game is embarrassingly bad
That was an awesome video dude it had me captivated thr hole time, Also leard a few things i didn't know thank you for that and thank you for the video and information very much appreciated.
Ridgeway pride, 4pc foundry, d&h backpack with wicked. Kard tdi pistol with sadist. Using incoming repair and status effect mods turns this into a take with crazy pistol damage and always in the range for armor regen
Bloody knuckles can be fun, you can also throw grenades, I’ve cleared heroic content using Bloody knuckles increases weapon damage, and is fun to try and. occasionally get those melee against weakened all red npcs , kind of like a fun challenge and fun to use with sweet dreams shotgun as a backup weapon.
Bloody Knuckles are very useful for certain content and in the right build can help you clear huge spawns solo, even in Countdown, for example, a group of Elite''s spawn, you then throw a fire nade which procs Bloody Knuckles and also Perfect Sledgehammer (equip the 'Lefty' shotgun when throwing the nade). All the NPC's are burning as you do a silly amount of damage on an all red Glass Cannon/Vigi build. As a bonus all enemies on fire receive 10% more damage from team mates. In scenarios where there are group spawns/choppers, etc it absolutely shines.
You are right i dont think this guy knows what hes talking about at all. definitely the guy that joins your game and yaks about how good his builds are and how good he is but you out dps him by a billion in each mission and carry him hard
A quick and easy nemisis build is perfect chain killer-coyote mask-hotshot gear. Run it with the decoy and a turret and it turns the game into break the targets. Also works with the mantis
I dont necessarily agree with the merciless take because that recoil isn’t bad if you learn to control it, which is rather easy. But also it’s just 14 “hits” so shooting one boss and getting that explosion would just increase your damage. Plus add the fact that you can kill multiple rank and file enemies with that explosion alone.
Tux fine tunes builds for effectiveness every single stream. You can't beat testing and experimenting in real game play to really know what works and what doesn't and it shows. The build adjustment advice to make the most out of the Exotics is key evidence. Awesome video Tux.
My main build is striker set with Ceska chest with obliterate and Picaro's holster. Cirt changes as high as posible. Weapons are Elmo because of it's insane accuracy at long ranges and a RPK with Dtoc and Dtoa It melts everyting.
Only thing Im surprised about is Dread Edict. From what I see its not well liked by the masses. Its way better with hotshot IMO but still most dont like the sniping playstyle and if they do Mantis is easier to use across the board due to the decoy.
My ravenous macs. Honestly imo best gun in the game for pvp. Absolutely shreds chungus and dogs. I run it with momento and basic dps brand sets. I'm on pc and have no trouble swapping shoulders at all.
As someone who primarily plays solo pve, I really appreciate the criteria you use for this. I can't tell you how many times I've asked a veteran player about an exotic and they answer me with some ridiculously specific build and specific context to use it in that makes it absolutely pointless for me 90% of the time.
Disagree with the Imperial Holster, works extremely well with my skill, status, and burn builds for PvE. I particularly love it with my skill build. I tend to be mobile with my skill build, use a turret and strike drone and rushers can overwhelm me and it has saved my butt multiple times.
I was just thinking about new exotic weapons and we could use another SMG and shotgun. The MP7 is probably the most dog weapon in the game. I always liked the idea of the Valkyria set from the first game. Maybe we get an MP7 exotic and an m870 that have standalone talents (not a set) but they can interact.
@@TuxedoBandidoindeed, with a versatile talent BP would be very cool. I’m still hoping they’d let you swap shoulders with the ravenous while using a shield. That would make survivability so much better
@@TuxedoBandido Swap to this weapon causes a concussion blast (a bit like the Banshee pulse) that confuses everything within 10m for 3 sec. or something.
I know you ranked the shocker punch last but in.the DZ this guy with a shocker punch punch build was destroying everybody with it. He'd zig zag until he was in our faces and punch us to death quickly.
BTSU gloves. 4x hard wired mask, backpack, knee pads, holster with skill damage and or mix with critical hit. Body with skill armor and mad bomber. Stinger hive with radius 4 extra . Mortar. Puppet: demolitionist. Throw hive, than mortar. After 1 is finished destry other and you have the firts new. Play it all the time in bl tusk missions in team its a deadly one
My fave combo with the Pestilence is the Vile mask and something with Creeping Death. I think the Habsburg backpack has Perfect? You hit several people with a good amount of bullets, and watch it spread death anywhere there are lots of people!😂 Also it can pass other Status, like the jammer thru walls even!
came back just to cry more. When I got a exotic cache from a twitch drop, I got the Diamondback which is truly shite (even at world tier 1), and the BTSU gloves which doesnt really help at that low due to the limited building potential overall.
I must be new to the game and Sanctum MR, but there's no more scope, and the crosshair goes red when on target - perfect for not getting sneaked up on and using the sniper build with good hip shooting too (admittedly in lower ranks of pve), but it hauls some real ass when buffs stack. And it's an odd, but MR, so gotta pop, wait a second for accuracy to reset, pew again. Lands headshots off scope real well.
I forgot melee attacks existed since I reached level 40. The damage seems to completely dissipate and no longer scale with the game. They really just had to add it to the Shocker Punch to make it seem useful with big number bonuses that don't do anything in reality. And then there's the Bloody Knuckles. We don't talk about those.
THANK YOU for putting this together. I have said along with many others it’s not the SHD level always it’s if they made a effort to put together a build. I have seen people run pre level 40 and purple gear in heroic. Also I do think there is a higher expectation from Challenging to Heroic. One last thing that you kinda mentioned is the objectives. It may be a lot to put together but a explanation of what each objective is especially if they are the final objective. Cooling Tower as the final objective is where alot of what you talked about is important because you will get killed from the steam. Always get a laugh watching the “loot looker” ldrop from the steam

Interesting, that shouldn’t be possible so you got a glitch that for once was a positive lol
Great editing!!! 👍🏽
"Notorious thugs" track at the beginning of the video
Melee attacking an enemy does stun them, IF they are currently in a melee attack. Melee, therefore, is used to counter melee.
His points about melee still stand though as with a proper build no enemy should ever be that close to you, as they should be dead
My issue with momento is that I am a lazy player...I dont want to run around collecting things..No I choose Ninja bike bag as best exotic gear maybe im loosing some dmg but its allowed me to put together some really neat builds that would be impossible without it.
There’s almost no build where ninja bike messenger BP is best in slot tho. With the exception of a no bleed or hazard build
Seriously one of the greatest games ever... Hope this game never dies
Ravenous is one of my favourite weapons to use in PVE - works amazingly on ANY build.
Shoulder swapping is annoying is the bottom line.
@@grumpyoldman6503 fr on console its a bitch but on pc its not nearly as debilitating. Honestly a huge but simple change would be to allow shoulder swapping while using the crusader sheild.
@@opratorkilo4649 I'm aware but am a console prole, same as tux.
Only really useful in raids, not like it hard to kill dogs and chungas in any other context, even legendary.
That scorpio is definitely op.. finally beat the summit with it stunning the bosses and using pulse with decoys to disable the abilities and their one-shot and forced them to stay away in cover instead of rushing.
Used the flamethrower with vile mask and hunter's fury. It's a really good combo for crowd control and boss stunning, and you clear golden bullet summit floors insanely fast.. could swap scorpio out for the chatterbox, and it's insane either way.. golden bullet chatterbox go BRRRRRRRRR 😂
You can target loot for the summit and get all the set gear and I got my scorpio and chatterbox in one run to 100 floors and I only have less than 30 hours in the game most of it was taking my time with the story the dlc and side missions so when I actually started farming I was surprised how easy it was...
Note.. that the green gear is easier to find on summit than exotic weapons but I still had more luck there than doing countdown or control points.. and doing the event and farming xp on summit felt fast paced for me doing other things at the same time as getting gear. Multitasking!
I came from grindy games like poe warframe diablo and shit so 🤷♂️
Anyway.. hope that helps creating your swat team style floor clearing god
Edit: I have to point out I always use scorpio at its best optimal range with my build cause I have to lol..
Brilliant informative video Tux 👍
Thanks J!
Excellent video top tier content for sure man
Damn awesome video. Thanks. I have a lot of the high end exotics listed here but did not know how to proc them.
Nahhh bro Diamondback is goated
Ridgeway Pride into blue core Hunter Fury with Crusader shield with a nice SMG or Chameleon is soooooo broken fun to run.
Scorpio is fun with an Eclipse Protocol build. May the effects spread in your favor~
Glad to hear it! and more on the way like this.
Ridgeway pride, 4pc foundry, d&h backpack with wicked. Kard tdi pistol with sadist. Using incoming repair and status effect mods turns this into a take with crazy pistol damage and always in the range for armor regen
Dodge city is easily the best exotic armor piece in the game
thanks alot, helped me understand whats what after not playing for 4 years
Bloody knuckles can be fun, you can also throw grenades, I’ve cleared heroic content using Bloody knuckles increases weapon damage, and is fun to try and. occasionally get those melee against weakened all red npcs , kind of like a fun challenge and fun to use with sweet dreams shotgun as a backup weapon.
BTSU gloves for medic is god tier and for raids or any hard content overcharge and refreshing everyone’s reviver hive is invaluable
Ain't nobody gonna slander my boy Chatterbox. That little ol' thing carried me through Incursion before i dropped Ouroboros.
Fantastic work, Tux.
Great run down.
Thanks Greg!!
A quick and easy nemisis build is perfect chain killer-coyote mask-hotshot gear. Run it with the decoy and a turret and it turns the game into break the targets. Also works with the mantis
They should rework the sandman perk to kill anything below named, would actually make it useful
That would make it amazing for sure
I dont necessarily agree with the merciless take because that recoil isn’t bad if you learn to control it, which is rather easy. But also it’s just 14 “hits” so shooting one boss and getting that explosion would just increase your damage. Plus add the fact that you can kill multiple rank and file enemies with that explosion alone.
Tux fine tunes builds for effectiveness every single stream. You can't beat testing and experimenting in real game play to really know what works and what doesn't and it shows. The build adjustment advice to make the most out of the Exotics is key evidence. Awesome video Tux.
I like o use chatterbox with hunters fury. It's actually really good with hunters fury
Whoa, I glossed over the dread edict. Gonna try it out when I get home. I’m sure I have one or two in the stash
My main build is striker set with Ceska chest with obliterate and Picaro's holster. Cirt changes as high as posible. Weapons are Elmo because of it's insane accuracy at long ranges and a RPK with Dtoc and Dtoa It melts everyting.
When it comes to Shocker Punch, It's a trash in PVE, but it's decent when it comes to Dark zone where you may find players using St' elmo.
Ninja backpack about to make the biggest comeback in the history of div 2 exotics with Project Resolve update in february.
Super true
Only thing Im surprised about is Dread Edict. From what I see its not well liked by the masses.
Its way better with hotshot IMO but still most dont like the sniping playstyle and if they do Mantis is easier to use across the board due to the decoy.
Got a sub just from the dope editing alone
My ravenous macs. Honestly imo best gun in the game for pvp. Absolutely shreds chungus and dogs. I run it with momento and basic dps brand sets. I'm on pc and have no trouble swapping shoulders at all.
As someone who primarily plays solo pve, I really appreciate the criteria you use for this. I can't tell you how many times I've asked a veteran player about an exotic and they answer me with some ridiculously specific build and specific context to use it in that makes it absolutely pointless for me 90% of the time.
Should be required for all players. Excellent.
That would be super unique. I agree we need more in SMG. A stagger on weapon swap could be cool.
I want them to bring back the showstopper from Div1. Best shotgun for 6 piece classified strikers
I know you ranked the shocker punch last but in.the DZ this guy with a shocker punch punch build was destroying everybody with it. He'd zig zag until he was in our faces and punch us to death quickly.
Chicken dance 4tl
BTSU gloves. 4x hard wired mask, backpack, knee pads, holster with skill damage and or mix with critical hit. Body with skill armor and mad bomber. Stinger hive with radius 4 extra . Mortar. Puppet: demolitionist. Throw hive, than mortar. After 1 is finished destry other and you have the firts new. Play it all the time in bl tusk missions in team its a deadly one
I miss when the Imp holster first came out, it use to apply to burn to everything within range, no cool downs and or line of sight.
Thanks for the video bro. Rate lady death in the top tier, feels like damage is amazing
it was close. It's a great weapon.
Leave this game? NO WAY! Soldiers (Agents) NEVER leave their post. Always mission ready and moving forward.
Agent EagleStar 💯💪
This video is why I never put trust in SHD levels.
Watching your gameplay makes me feel better about myself.
came back just to cry more. When I got a exotic cache from a twitch drop, I got the Diamondback which is truly shite (even at world tier 1), and the BTSU gloves which doesnt really help at that low due to the limited building potential overall.
I'm so happy to finally hear Karl Casey's music in another work
I must be new to the game and Sanctum MR, but there's no more scope, and the crosshair goes red when on target - perfect for not getting sneaked up on and using the sniper build with good hip shooting too (admittedly in lower ranks of pve), but it hauls some real ass when buffs stack. And it's an odd, but MR, so gotta pop, wait a second for accuracy to reset, pew again. Lands headshots off scope real well.
Apparently this was posted before the Oroborous showed up.
I'll say it like this... Imperial dynasty holster plus creeping death
The Punch Out music caught me off guard lol love it 😂
How about a list of the non-exotic weapons that should be exotics?
Lady Death/Memento is God tier for my play style. I tried using other weapons, but it’s like crack.
