ICYMI: We've uploaded ALL of my new and exclusive Armored Core VI content in one easy convenient location for your viewing pleasure, go watch that instead of this 🎉th-cam.com/video/TDBKDSsXz8A/w-d-xo.html
Love this. Seriously bugs me that people attribute FromSofts punishing game style to just souls when so many came before it. Clearly they have never played AC1.
Doms I am so. Hyped for this game, never played AC before, but this game looks awesome. Your channel was by far my favourite during Elden Ring, and I cannot wait to see what you will come up with the customization in this game. Cannot wait to try out the different builds in AC6
I think the first thing I want Fromsoft to do for DLC is co-op missions. The only multiplayer has been confirmed as 1v1 and 3v3 vs matches and that's a fair enough start. But like you brought up here, this in co-op could accomplish what AC 5 tried to do, all those years ago.
I really hate when people see mechanics from Soulsborne (many of which aren't even unique to Souls, but are rather features prevalent in third-person acton games), and proclaim to call a game a "Souls-like". The "Souls-like" subgenre refers specifically to a rather specific type of action RPG experience, which typically involves interconnected semi/open worlds with multi-use - respawn, save, load, upgrade, etc - checkpoints (e.g. Bonfires, Grace, Repair Terminals, etc) where exploration requires players to manage their resources in between checkpoints, and combat revolves around very careful attention and planning against even simple enemy types, giving gameplay something of a survival aspect to it to see how well you can survive in between checkpoints. Armored Core VI takes a lot of mechanics used in Souls, but uses them to completely different ends: it's a fast-paced mission-based mech game that's much more about the power fantasy of being inside a massive mech, where smaller enemies fall like chaff before your attacks, broken up by power enemies in between, and you have a very specific mission objective per mission - exploration is very limited, the levels are not solidly connected in any way. Calling Armored Core VI a "Soulslike" is like calling a lasagna a "spaghetti-like": yes they share similar ingredients, but they are used to create a distinctly different dish meant to be enjoyed very differently. Armored Core VI isn't a "Souls-like", it's an Armored Core-like. I hate when people do this because it dilutes the definition of what a "Souls-like" is supposed to be, and if you do so then what identity do "Souls-like" even have anymore if you just keep applying it to every single game that vaguely shares the same mechanics? It also demeans the identity of Armored Core as a whole, since the experience it offers is vastly different from what Soulsborne offers, even if they can share mechanics.
Elden ring was my first souls like and you were my go to channel whenever i hit a wall or wanted to check if i missed anything. Looking forward to repeating that cycle with AC when it comes out
AC is peak power fantasy, and I can see it sets you up as a powerhouse (unlike the souls games) then knocks you down a knotch with a boss to shift that scale in favor of the enemy. Can't wait to find out just how much I have to overcome.
I've played the series since the original on PS1 and I can honestly say that, especially after seeing the unique game play footage of all of the content creators, I that i have not been more excited to get my hands on a game in DECADES!
Hey thanks for showing the cool place and the inside of what’s happening at the event. I missed that on other youtubers. Maybe next time some more coverage of the event.
Speaking of the 20 minute time limit, it'd be cool if everyone would release their select 20 minutes and then allowed other content creators to share that footage with each other.
I really enjoyed the moment to moment gameplay piloting the mech javelins in Anthem. Does this feel similar?? I know Anthem had tons of problems but the feel of the mechs was not one of them. Anyhow already preordered since Fromsoft has yet to let me down.
I am so excited! BUT, one comment has me worried. I despise PVP, and having upgrades tied to PVP is extremely worrying. Can those upgrades be unlocked through any other means (other than paying for them) or are they exclusive to PVP/Arena?
I'm not personally into mechs but my partner is super excited for this game. It looks amazing I just don't think I would be any good at it personally lol
Would you allow me to repost your Customisation portion of this on Tiktok? I'll give you full credit for the footage and link to your TH-cam or other account if so. I'm trying to share as much info as I can there.
2:18 there are no player summons. Multiplayer content will be limited to PvP. Modders will fix that eventually, but best to set expectations appropriately. No Campaign Co-Op at launch.
My comment was speculation, I said I wondered whether or not player summons would be included in the game 😊 I haven't confirmed either way as I did not know from the playtest
I actually wonder... If FS would put the mode in as a "you've completed 90% of the content! Coop unlocked" It would be an insane surprise that would blow people minds. Idk if it's likely at all, netcode and triggers in the single player and all that, but still
Hear me out and lemme land with this because I grew up on this franchise but how did no one ask the question if theres gonna be Bio weapons to fight? Like i’m not disrespecting people that attended these conferences but bro loool there would be some serious golden questions i’d be asking. Anyway i’m hyped for this last year when i was with my ex girlfriend I was craving a mecha game bad and we both had nintendo switches, by chance I came across Daemon X Machina (decent but not amazing) i’m kinda hoping that this game does what it needs to do even when the sequel to DxM releases.
I've got mixed feeling on Armored Core 6, it's going for a more quick action "dodge-attack" direction like Souls games and that's not a bad thing. It's bittersweet since there's fond thoughts of the old heavy mech movement from the old ACs
I cannot stress enough how important coop is for this game. But the story campaign doesn't support coop. Let's hope the devs do a separate coop mode with missions.
No co-op, but you can gear up from single player and then hopefully run 3v3 teams in PVP. I’d love to run sets with a organized team. Like a missile tanker and 2 Bipeds.
Well he showed his face. He just ruined the chanel for me. My preconcieved construction of what he looked like is shattered. Think vsauce but taller and...less this guy. Sorry great videos. Like in OZ, never show behind the curtain.
It's an absolute dissapointment for veterans like me. However I guess it might appeal to you new comers. I do not like the changes that has been done to ac. I hope next ac game would be better
As a veteran of every past AC I completely and utterly disagree. Too many reviewers are playing with target assist easy mode settings, and complaining the targeting feels too easy.. but if you go find someone who actually turned it off.. well its a different game. I highly doubt the campaign mode assists for newer players are going to bleed over into pvp.. Never did before.
@@dotmbarricade3424Healthkits barely increased your AP to 4 and 5's level. Unless you want the absolute hell of long levels that can only be completed in either quad legs or a super lightweight evasion build, checkpoints and health kits (WHICH YOU CAN SIMPLY NOT USE) are a necessity.
As a "new-ish" veteran who nonetheless has played and completed a good chunk of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Gen games (with most of my playtime being in 3, Nexus, and For Answer), speak for yourself. ACVI is one of my most anticipated games of the year, and everything they've shown so far is right up my alley.
There is no need to go into " is this a Souls like " cos i can tell u without playing it, it isn't a souls like! There is much more to a Souls-borne than hard boss fights! Exploration and world building are a massive part of Souls-borne ip's! This game has no Exploration what so eva! Its just fly around a world that looks like it was built for last gen consoles, fight a few enemies, fight a boss and once u have done the m8ssion fly back out and that is it!!!!!

Second Boss (in this Video) is massive.
Fire Giant: Am I a joke to you?
Yes, that boss would just stomp on fire giant
Um no, you're not the only ones who defeated the final boss of chapter 1. There are others who already posted their own.

So, Baldur's Gate 3 is a Diablo 4 killer for me, and AC6 is a BG3 killer. This is the most overwhelming year for gaming.
diablo 4 killed itself and Baldur's Gate is a different style of game.
AC is peak power fantasy, and I can see it sets you up as a powerhouse (unlike the souls games) then knocks you down a knotch with a boss to shift that scale in favor of the enemy. Can't wait to find out just how much I have to overcome.

Thanks. I will ask again questions about AC6 in your stream next time. Thanks for the clarification about turning, aim / FCS / hard lock on, etc.

Anyhow already preordered since Fromsoft has yet to let me down.
This is great, thanks!
Pre ordered the deluxe edition Damm I can’t wait come on august get here sooner
man i really hope coop is in this game
You would really like Armored Core: For Answer I think.
I think vaati finished it too and actually went on to s rank some of the missions
Bro I can not wait for this
Awesome!
Game looks amazing, hopefully their working on dlc🤣
Can’t wait another let alone for weeks I’m sad
I am so excited! BUT, one comment has me worried. I despise PVP, and having upgrades tied to PVP is extremely worrying. Can those upgrades be unlocked through any other means (other than paying for them) or are they exclusive to PVP/Arena?
The arena is not actually PVP, more like a 1v1 between you and an AI mech. So you won't need to do PVP to progress. Hope this helps.
I'm not personally into mechs but my partner is super excited for this game. It looks amazing I just don't think I would be any good at it personally lol

First!
This looks awesome!
Is this an open world game? Like Elden Ring? Or is it more linear?
It is mission based, so more linear.
It's more linear as it's based on missions 😊
Exclusive. Every single TH-camr is spamming this platform with AC videos right now 🤷♂️
mecha tarnished looking good, strider fight reminds me of those mausoleum from lands between
this is just otogi 2 with robots
Algorithmical comment.
A previous interview with the director, they said no co-op
"at this time"

The only heavy AC game imo was 2, Last Raven was fast af
@@billyboleson2830 Agreed...anything after the second AC, especially if you were in the Arena, if you weren't light and fast you were DOA.
This is actually kinda slow tbh. But I guess I’m just too accustomed to 4th gen speeds
Still gonna make something that can reach similar speeds tho
@@tsumikiayato1560 it’s the fastest AC game that’s not 4th gen lol
@@jesseperry9602 as someone who played Lr and 4 back to back the difference between the two isn’t as massive as most think.
This looks really good but I miss games that needed two buttons a la NES. Needing to take a course on how to play a game is a bit too much.
Looks like a decent game. I would prefer a slower and heavier playstyle. Too jumpy for my likes but the hype is on, kids are all over this title.
Armored Core started out and was always meant as a mimic of Gundams, which they move very fast and are as flexible as the human pilot inside.
SUIIIIIIII
I cannot stress enough how important coop is for this game. But the story campaign doesn't support coop. Let's hope the devs do a separate coop mode with missions.
AC for answer taught me new ways to use the controller. Remeber kids - Regular-B and all six fingers on the gamepad. Youll thank me later.

There is indeed no co-op however 6 player pvp has been confirmed
They could just do 5 v 5 plus operators

Didn’t like ER co op or what?
"Reactionary combat" The combat is right wing?
Nope. I liked Elden Ring. I don't like the rest of the Souls franchise. Mech and Souls is a pass.
