Another thing to note when "sparing" Swinburne, when I first chose to do so I changed my mind just as he had turned his back to me and was about to fly away. I shot him in the back and it instantly killed him (he had about 50-75% health left) and Ayre even made a comment about it, asking me if I had learned to do that from Walter. Secret interactions within secret interactions!
Small spoiler for a single minor mission: Another awesome secret: In several mission you will fail due to scripted events or end up facing unexpected foes such as Balteus. Walter always pays you for these situations. For example in Defend The Strider you actually dont get the 500,000 for the job since the Liberation Front take it back in penalties, but youll see that you got a 500,000 bonus instead. Pressing details will reveal the bonus is "Compensation from Walter". Walter is a good dude.
I like he is character not just blank. In Time the go's he more care about 621 . And we as 621 more and more knowing about him and his purpose. In good anding in his last moments he is still want to achieve his purpose for all his comrades but after stop shooting his weapon and said to happily to 621 that he find a friend for him self. Even in bad anding he call 621 and hope for him to find his on purpose.
the game starts off with him saying wake the dog up. Later he "defends" us by saying "back off, 4th gen is as good as any pedigree". So if Walter is our homie, that makes you his lap dog. 619 and 620 got sacrificed to get us here, he doesn't expect us to live and he definitely doesn't care. As far as that money goes, people tend to be overly generous right before suicide... Spoilers, he's on a suicide mission.
@@XiaolinDraconis You are a dog. Dog/Hound is the term used for a mercenary in this generation. Pedigree refers to human as well as animals. Walter doesnt think hes on a suicide mission until the very end, as shown by the fact that he has plans for you *after* burning the coral and even sends you a message for after the job is done. Why would he record a message for someone he thinks will be dead telling them he hopes they live a better life now that they dont owe him anything?
5:30 Walter is the child in the drawing. His father set the fire off. When Walter talks about the scientist that abandoned his family and created the first augmented humans he's talking about his dad
@@angulinhiduje6093 he'd only be like 60 years old. Carla is in her 80s to 90s and sulla is atleast 70. It seems that being to close to coral gives extended life
@@hansyolo8277spice but they are alive. They are more like species that used as a resources similar to how we used cow as a food resources . Coral is similar to that but instead of used as a food resources they are resources use as military weapon and medical equipment.
The coral screaming is facts, if you put on the assault armor module, and you’re using a coral generator, you can clearly hear screaming! I’ve been using this combo since I got them, I noticed it instantly!
The Nightfall visor also comes down when you assault boost or assault armor and stays for a couple seconds after, letting you turn the camera to see it.
The kind of detail I love! You'd rarely see it in practice. Kinda like ultimate weapons in gen 5 and how some head pieces would change during their use.
7:52 the money Swinburne pays you is equal to the mission reward (the penalty is taking back the money for the mission since you didnt complete it) plus an additional 70,000 credits. So as he said, you did in fact still make out in the end by sparing him. Assuming you didnt pay out 70k+ in expenses fighting Rokumonsen.
Also, it's not necessary to do that in any playthrough to complete the Rokumonsen battle log. That can be done anytime after you play that mission by just accepting Swinburne's offer in replay mode.
Nightfalls's visor is normally on the back of the "neck" of the head unit. However, when targeting an enemy, you can watch as the visor fold up over the head and deploys as a shield over the face.
I'm pretty certain that the child in the STV AI sketch is Walter, and it would somewhat explain his hatred for Coral, as it's research essentially killed his mother and drove his father mad
It makes sense with his little story he tells towards the later half of the game about a scientist always being absent. Presumably the scientist is his father here
@@simondigruber2111 the reverse, all sketches were made by a man, but the last one was by AI after a long time of trying to copy the exact style perfectly.
Another thing that could also reveal walter and carla's affiliation is your starting AC and weapon's manufacturer - it's RaD. When I saw that logo on my own starter AC's details in chapter 2 i was mindblown - the lore is definitely written into the game!
There's a cutscene (dialogue only) after a mission where Carla asks Walter how things are going. He starts talking about 621, and she says " I was asking about you" or something to that effect.
@@belloffields i'm not fully sure, but there's a few speculations: 1) We were acting on our own without Walter's authorization - so from a strategic standpoint, Carla had lots of reasons to assume we were hostile to her forces and her, it is her territory anyway and we were waltzing in and shooting her forces up randomly. 2) It could be Carla's way of testing our skills and mettle, whether Walter really did choose the right hound to finish the job. 3) We didn't explicitly announce our intentions to cross the sea, so Carla had reasons to think we were on a merc job to take out her forces
@@thebrathusproject this is what makes the most sense, even though Walter and Carla had have history that goes way back, she also knows that Walter is working independently and taking jobs from anyone. Presumably she either doesn't know from the get go what Walter's goal is, or she can't be certain he hasn't taken up a job which involves getting rid of her. Though it could also be she knows everything from the start and is just testing us in that mission.
The image at 4:53: Far left Is cinder Carla, the boy is Walter, the far right is professor Nagai and the middle is Walters father. Spoilers for chapter 5: Reading all the lore makes it basically certain that these are their identities. As assistant 2 is described as “has a knack for assembling toys” and “she will be sure to make the boy laugh”, Carla’s motto is “what’s the point if you can’t have a good laugh” and is an engineer for RaD. The artist who drew Carla as assistant 2 shows another image with a woman leading a crew with RaD materials in the background(the WRECKER head), the artist says that he could’ve sworn he’s seen the woman before and that she was the smartest of the group, this is because earlier on the artist drew Carla in the lab. The boy is described as “Reticent” and “sharper than he looks”, and he’s sent off to Jupiter with some of Nagais friends to take care of him, following the Fires of Ibis, whilst Nagai perishes in the Calamity. Nagai expects much from the boy and wants him to carry on Nagais legacy stated in a quote. Walter talks about his “friends” and the legacy he must carry on, this is Nagais legacy, and the friends are probably from Jupiter
That honest confirms my ideals that all the ACs are not in a different universe but a different place in the timeline. Like people been got off earth, they were pretty fine on Mars. Them having successfully colonized the moons of Jupiter then going intergalatic makes sense
Yeah, it do seems "Using" Coral Energy doesn't kill the Coral (though I can't imagine it being pleasant) considering Ayre can use them perfectly fine with no obvious harm doen to her but ... well considering every single Coral Powered Enemy explodes violently and Ayre's reaction afterwards destroying the Unit using it certainly does. It probably ignites it like a Mini Fire of Rubicon, explaining why they always explode so hard the other characters warn you to get the hell away. ...also the Redshifted Nebula has those explosions on hit. Implications unpleasant.
Unfortunately, I never played in AC before this one. I think I’m a permanent fan now. This game is incredible, and it seems like the community is also an awesome one. Especially coming from destiny. Love the videos and I’m looking forward to the Lore ones!!
There is a wreck in the mission to eliminate Honest Brute that gives you a lore entry where it is stated that Carla is not old enough to have witnessed the Fires of Ibis. It's located high up on a balcony on one of the giant pillars in the early part of the mission. if you stay high up right from the get-go, you will find it.
Head canon: if your friends with Ayre when you use Coral weapons, they scream to instead terrify your opponent rather than scream in pain because they willingly help you rather then be fully manipulated.
To add to Swinburne - instead of attacking him directly after encountering him, you could just walk next to him and stood next to him. He'll think that you are one of his own members and it would take a hilariously long time before he realized you weren't someone he knew (lol)
since i've cleared the campaign the first time i got super brave and have been running right up behind some targets and they really don't notice lmao. have a picture of my AC with 2 stun launchers aimed at a PCA LCs back and he has no clue he's about to die lmao
In one of the earlier nagais logs I believe subject 2 is Carla and subject 1 might be walter, going of memory but i think subject 1 is losing his parents and is becoming emotionally withdrawn and subject 2 is trying to cheer 1 up and is said to be very adept at creating toys. Carla making most things for RaD. There's also some MTs that think Carla is lying since they say "she's too young to try and pass that stolen Valor "
The plasma thrower also does constant damage when doing the throw animation. You can hug enemies while using it and itll do constant damage on contact.
3:54 Top left (1) is RLF, the old man sat down is Father Domalyan, you can see Little Ziyi and her brother. The rest are likely the other named characters but unsure who is who. (2) is RaD, you can see Carla again sitting down, other two is likely her adjuntant and the traitor guy you hunt down. (3) are the Red Guns. (4) are the Vespers, you know who the snide one is. (5) are the assassin guys you fight in the arena, the one hiding is the same hidden guy you find in the Furnance mission guarding the chest. (6) is indeed Nagai, Carla and Nagai's other student. (7) are the hacker group of four, unsure who is who though.
10:54 A few other things about Nosaak: He is the person the debt collector from the note was looking for (this is really obvious when you fight him) and defeating him makes getting the S rank on this mission much much easier (it may even be required)
S rank is entirely about time taken vs payout. And some missions give extra payout for killing mechs. And you lose payout by taking damage and from ammunition.
@@RuneKatashimaoddly enough about time contributing to rankings… Some how I got S rank with my slow medium class mech on a defend mission… it’s the first defend mission that takes place where you destroy Balty. I thought I’d get an A, but to my surprise I ended up with an S with no intention but to test an AC build lol Could it be that mission had a low time standard? Or maybe some mission will gauge your health instead of your time?
Cool interaction to include in the next secrets video, in chapter 3 when you fight V VII, if you tell him you'll let him go and then melee him, he'll die instantly and you'll get unique dialogue from Ayre.
I’ve been playing for 6 hours and still can’t beat the first boss. I’m in love. I know this journey is gonna be a virtual experience that I’ll never forget.
Improvise, adapt, overcome. It'll be an uphill battle, Raven. But with enough practice, patience, and a little bit of luck, you'll be flying in no time.
For anyone else who is having issues with the first boss the way I did it is every time the boss shot the missiles I would hide behind a building to avoid them and dash in after to use melee then stay away till it shoots again and repeat the process
Here's a mechanic some don't know about: - Melee blade cancel: right before you pulse or laser blade extend, press the QB command and you will cancel the attack and dodge. - Missile cancel: Heavy weapons with recoil will cancel missile barrages you launch if you fire the heavy weapon mid barrage. I've only done testing on bi-pedal and reverse joints. I think it still works for all leg types, however.
About Nightfall's visor: it's folded to the back of the AC' head, and you actually can see it unfolds to the face every time you using assault boost and aim lock. It also folds back every time you enter garage after mission, and you can put a decal on it, so the Nigtfall's head is a very unique and cool part.
Just started the chapter 2 in AC6 ! Having a blast as a Souls fan playing this game so far . I was stuck against the last boss of chapter 1 for 3 hours yesterday haha... when i finally beat him i was like : " that's a FromSoftware game for real ! " . My GOTY 2023 so far ! 👍
It's crazy that you said that it sounds like the coral weapons are screaming , a friend of mine was fighting me with those the other day and I said "why the hell is ur AC screaming" and he said "what are you talking about" . Now that I played through the rest of the game its starting to make sense
I think the hissing noise when firing the coral weapons might be a general coral thing, because when ayre is talking you can hear a far less aggressive hissing around her words (less screaming, more staticy), it’s a little quiet but rather noticeable if you listen for it
I think that when you fire Coral Weapons it fires out Coral Energy rather than the Coral itself, otherwise ammunition would definitely be sparse as who the fuck would let you buy Coral just to destroy it via shooting it out? Plus, Ayre's AC, Echo, uses all-Coral Technology and her only comment on that is that she could use the AC and wants to try it out on you, so I don't think that Coral Weapons intentionally fire out Coral itself, but rather extract energy via manipulating their intelligence to fire the energy made by the Coral outwards, although the AORTA Generator does mention "maximizing combustion", so I could be wrong here.
For the first time, I knew about all the secrets except the coeal voices since it sounds like a energy stream to me. I have been quite addicted to this game after work. Soo good!
I think ALLMIND is one of the biggest mysteries in the game. ALLMIND has access to Rubicon Research Institutes research data including Ibis series ACs and coral weapons and know all about the Coral Release project which was started by Prof.Nagai Assistant No.1 (walters father) and she commands PCA forces , one of the combat logs in Ocean Crossing mission mention that the PCA is taking orders from an AI so it's safe to assume that she is the one that send PCA forces to guard Watchpoint Alpha furthermore she is presumably the one who send Sulla and Balteaus to kill 621 at Watchpoint Delta. The stealth mechs 621 encounters in BAWS weapons factory that went silent are also sent by ALLMIND. Did Assistant No.1 created ALLMIND or is there a bigger master mind working behind the scenes ?
the AI that the PCA take orders from is a different one to ALLMIND since in the allmind route you have to fight the PCA starting off with regular PCA forces and ending with a unit made up of a cataphract, a LG and HG units (assuming i'm remembering the mission right) there's no point in her sending you there to clear out the PCA force/help her kill them when she is actively working against the PCA in the form of kate
Love the Metroid Prime soundtrack in the backround. I'll have to get the secrets I found here now. Replay value in this game is high so this video helped out alot. Thanks :)
night fall helmet visor go down whenever you do AB. if you use AB and then land quickly, then turn your camera to face the front of your AC, you can see the visor and it put away animations. very cool
You can add to your AB maneuvering by turning your camera in the same direction as your dodge. It's not as effective as Quickturn, but it does require less EN
Interesting that the melee attack thrust actually does increase the distance of the punch boost. I tested it with the Laser Lance and it had absolutely no effect on movement distance, so I figured it only affected melee tracking speed or something like that. But I guess the Laser Lance has built in thrusters, so that might explain why the booster stat doesn't apply.
It's very in line with AC's premise of a weapon sounding like it wastes literal lives every time it's fired. Especially a charged coral beam, that sounds like you're burning souls for this thing.
Fun thing: After you accept to spare Swinburn, you can still kill him. I spared, then hit him with my sword which one-shot him. He cussed me out. And it didn't end up making me fight the other guy. I actually didn't know you could fight him.
Well that's just great, weapons i want will scream in horrific pain each time i use them. The second one sounded the most like a howl of the most terrible pain one could even dream about mustering onto another. Gave me goosebumps
in one of the first missions where you just shoot some LC and chopers, if you fly to the end of the arena theres a small passage where one of those robots that have encripted coms lies atop some wrecks, i cant remember if it gives you combat logs or anything but there is a comment from walter
About the sketches: there are actually two artists, STV and STK. STK only has one sketch; it's of the Prof, the assistants and the boy. STK was killed in the Fires of Ibis. STV's sketches seem to be more contemporary, and I believe likely of the major factions in the game: RLF (the old man in one is Father Dolmayan), RaD (Familiar looking woman - Carla - in charge of mechanics), Redguns/Vespers ("Ugh never again" and "one of them gave me coffee", not sure which is which) Independent mercs/Assassins (the one where STV is hiding in the foreground) and The Branch (the one that talks about a group of 4 independent mercs and not meeting the 4th). I'm pretty sure that the "boy" is Walter, given that we know the Fires happened ~50 years before the game starts, Walter's story about the researchers (corroborating with Nagai's notes, meaning they were in close proximity), and his antagonism of coral as a whole.
One note: I think you misread the STK sketch file or misspoke. It’s not art made by an AI, it’s a real drawing by STK and it even says “STK’s notes” at the bottom. It’s simply saying that AI assimilated STKs style after the fact, which feels like From taking a jab at AI Artists while sticking with the theme of machines sucking the soul out of humanity.
Walter is the boy, it's stated that assistant 1 also loves 'building' toys in another data log, along with the scientist hoping she'd help him smile. Whereas the boy is very good at keeping things to himself and is intelligent, whose father went insane and mother died working on the coral. This lines in pretty damn well with Walters personality and actions throughout the game, along with Carla 'asking' how he's doing almost like an older relative would but he just responds talking about us. The mystery is why she sounds so young while he sounds as old as he should. Which is brought up in game even with a datalog talking about how she's using 'stolen valor' because there's no way she could be that old. I'm curious on if she's an A.I. like chatty, or something else kept her young while Walter aged. Could even be she's a kid of the original Carla. Though I'm not content with any of these answers since there's nothing pointing towards it. Only she sounds much younger than she should.
Holy wow these tips are fuckin HUGE! That quick turn during the assault boost is crazy awesome! I know a lot of people hate him, but Balteus is by far one of my fav fights from any game EVER! That shit was absolutely AMAZING! I'm not done with my 1st playthrough, halfway through chapter 3, but so far Balteus is easily my fav boss. Holy shit I LOVE that fight. He tuned my ass up good for a hot minute. That free grenade launcher tho, that things is an absolute BEAST. I still haven't removed it since I got it. Give it a go if you haven't, that thing is sooooo much fun, n makes quick work of ANYTHING, shielded or not.
For the head visor also it also covers the eyes during these following events, when you beaten an AC or an enemy the visor covers your lenses, when assault boosting and when using Assault armor, this also works whenever you lock on too. its a very very cool head.
Definitely having fun with it. I'm almost about to start chapter 2! Only reason I'm going so slow is because every time the shop gets updated, I stop progression to farm up money to buy everything 😆
@angulinhiduje6093 not too many times, if I'm honest. I clear Dam fast enough that I feel it's worth doing more due to +100k money. Sometimes I'll throw in the Wall for some change of pace. Doesn't take too long and easy 300+k, even if farming the guy might technically be faster.
@@sephi7acI didn't farm at all since I always wanted to see the next mission so bad and before I knew it I finished my 3rd playthrough a out the entire shop.
@@sephi7acyeah, I farmed the dam complex for cash too. It seemed more enjoyable and profitable than just beating up a novice AC pilot over and over. Plus I wasn’t too good at fighting ACs yet, so he was actually a bit of a challenge for me.
i love the fact that as you enter the pipe with the molten metal coming out of it i could hear the Magmoor Caverns theme from Metroid Prime 10/10 video just for that
I feel like if you're going for the true ending, refusing to use coral weapons would be thematically appropriate. Do you think that whenever you fire one of those coral powered guns you're actually killing the coral people?
I'm not so sure. It seems Ayre is fine using them in two Endings with no obvious harm. I think it's less using the Coral as fuel (considering Mechs can run for decades on one Tank) but using the Energy the Coral generates as a Byproduct to power machines and Weapons. But ... considering Coral Powered Machines explode violently when destroyed I dare say that kills them. It's usually the moment Ayre sadly mentions the voices are gone.
Another use of the charged plasma thrower is it actually hits while spinning. It does rapid damage and can stagger nicely. I pushed a New LCs into a corner and used it stunlock and destroy it from 75% in a few seconds. Really shines during ACS overload because it hits multiple times if you are close enough while charging it and can hit again when they unstagger and dash away. Melee attack thrust also affects the range of your pre-melee boost and how fast you will close on your target. Both of which are also affected by your weight, booster, and I think generator. Your tracking/accuracy on melee is affected by FCS and I think all accuracy is affected by arm load, but I haven't confirmed if having a lighter arm load improves accuracy. I think it does though.
Good video. Just beat the game last night and was truly amazed. My first mech game, but played solely for the fromsoft name. These guys knocked it out of the park. Best studio out there nowadays.
The visor is on the back of the ACs head, you can see it when examining your mech in the garage. Also if you look at the head in combat when you overboost and recover from overboost you can see it quickly flip.
Wow, glad I found this, thanks for the Nosaac tips. I was looking around for that secret room for almost an hour before I gave up. Scan picks up a bunch of enemies, but wtf?! I'm pathetically stubborn about looking things up that I don't _need_ to. That's an easy mission, so I'll head back.
AC6's story is genius in it's minimalism. unlike any Souls-like, the cast of characters is quite small but quite frequent in appearances. and most are expendable almost as soon as you meet them... which leads you to value the ones that survive along your playthrough much more easily, and nails down the dystopian reality of Armored Core Conflicts.
You’re gonna laugh at this. Your first tip about the quick turn. For whatever reason when I read it, I only thought they were talking about being able to quick turn while boosting forward and never thought you could do it on the ground. Definitely taught me a lot of things. Liked and subbed.
some of the designs of the AC parts in the version of armored core are similar to the mecca in Eureka 7 and possibly Front Mission.. actually this whole idea about using coral as an energy source and it somehow mysteriously holds consciousness is similar to eureka 7 as well..
Dunno if you planned this hah, but i love that while youre doing the nosaak (smelting/lava) section in the video, youre playing the magmoor caverns theme from the metroid prime OST 👌👌
9:38 When you use IA weapons they have somewhat similar sound, especially Aurora. So it might be not the "voice of coral", but something related to RRI tech. There's no IA generator to test armour sounds though.
6:19 you can see the visor on the back of the helm, and when you lock an enemy the full animation of the visor flipping to the front actually plays out
probably the oldest part of the players have already notice that and this will be no surprise but "dr Nagai" its an obvious tribute to the mecha era father, Go Nagai, creator of Grendizer, Mazinger, Jeeg, Getter and many others names.... i love how they gived so much love for the mecha world and generations... the mecha design here bring us evangelion, gundam, robotech, and a lot of other "real robots" vibes... they even gived us a taste of some tokusatsu vibes with the EPHIMERA set that resemble Guyver and Ultraman, obviously the super robots style is not included for contestual reason but they literally gived to Go Nagai the role of ithe father of the aughmented humans (In Go Nagai stories we Always had Aughmented humans as pilots and protagonists... Actarus is an Alien, Hiroshi is a Cyborg, The getter trio are involved in mutations and misteriois super human traits...)... Anyway i already beated the Game with all included, and really... a masterpiece in my opinion, lore, gameplay.. everything. i hope this game will bring more eyes on mecha based games for new titles.
Regarding Nightfall head.. you can go to training area and see its animation there.. lock on to a static enemy and turn your camera and BAM you see it!
6:10 The visor can also be seen by activating the assault boost, after activating it stop and quickly turn the camera in front of your ac, you can see the visor goes off
7:53 You take a penalty sure, because the corpo is no longer paying you 200,000 for the job, but notice on the result screen you get BONUS PAY for 270,000. Like he said, you were going to come out on top. -- Swimburne kept his promise.
Honestly I feel like the Institute research log are supposed to give us a bit of background information between both Walter and Carla, showing us that they have a deep history with one another and have huge ties with the Institute, it also explains how Walter got his hands on that unique Institute AC.🐱
Minor spoiler, at least lorewise but Walter is the young boy, son of Assistant 1, and was sent to Jupiter to be raised after his father died and the professor burned the Coral. Carla is somewhat sent with him but later returns to Rubicon, at least from what I gathered. Later on Walter [more than likely] bought 621[the player] from the blackmarket to be modified with fourth gen tech to be sent to Rubicon just like the others. There's a more indepth video that discusses Armored Core lore and they just released a vid for AC6, I highly recommend checking them out. They're called Armoredcorelore and he does a lot of lore videos for AC games
I still have to beat the 1st mission in chapter 2. But I decided to grind missions to get every part I can buy in the shop before I give it my all. Carla is freaking brutal. So much harder than Balteus.
Yeah, the worker or whatever that bot is called is a nasty piece of machinery the first time around. I cheesed it the first time around while I was getting used to the game with a tetrapod leg build that could hover above it and fire grenades and rockets right into its furnace opening. While you’re in the air, it has very few attacks that can hit you, so as long as you take care to manage when you touch down to restore your energy, the fight becomes one of the easiest in the game.
The "Mike Tyson" build would have to be bulky, but have insane QB time lol. People forget how hard Mike was to hit, ducking and weaving like nobody with his build has a right to...
The AC series has always carried itself with it's mech designs and voice acting. Haven't looked up the names but I'm pretty dam sure Walter is Colonol Mustang. Sounded like I heard the Kenshin eng actor and Dabi from Myhero too (which these guys have done tons of roles those r just what I can think of atm.) Was cool to see them able to cast some more well known voice actors.
EDIT: Re-read the log in question about assembling toys and it was one of the assistants and not the child assembling the toys, which does add credence to Carla being the assistant in that picture. Not sure how the stolen valor factors in to this though I was under the impression that Carla was a child at at the time of the Institute and Fires of Ibis. I think I remember a log about one of the researcher's kids being "good at making toys" which matched up with what Carla always called her RaD machines. One of the stronger ones was literally called a Toybox Mech. We also have a log of some Dosers complaining about Carla calling herself a Cinder, stating she's "way too young for that stolen valor". I think the child in that sketch could reasonably be Carla.
Nightfall's visor actually activates just like it does in the NPC. The visor always engages when you lock on, and when you assault boost. You can check this out if you assault boost and turn the camera around to see your AC's face, you'll have enough time to watch it fold back too. Neat, isn't it?
Melee specialization and Melee thrust are not hidden stats. The game tells you what button shows the extra stats, and it tells you how to view them in more detail. It explicitly tells you what these stats do. You just have to use your eyes and brain to acknowledge them. This is like saying the fast travel button to Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring is hidden.
AC newcomer and this game was too good at least in my opinion. I just finished LoR ending and I feel empty, it was surprisingly emotional and I just want more of this universe and characters. My main weapons were dual Chang-Chen drum mag MGs on a lightweight biped. I really hope this game gets more support in terms of modes or other content paid or otherwise. It was really something special and rivals Bloodborne and Elden Ring to me. I would consider it in the top 10 video games I have ever played easily.
Fun fact the Flail, Chainsaw, and Dual blade all have 40% Damage Reduction. So if your revving your chainsaw or goin for that dual blade hit there’s damages reduction :))
The sketches. Stv1 is the RLF, dolmayan embraced by freddie. The kid feeding an eccentric looking man is little ziyi and rokumonsen. Big guy is dunham, the guy he's talking to is uncle flatwell. Some people suspect the jacket guy is rusty, seeing his jacket has studs in it Stv2 is the RAD, brute is the scrawny guy, carla the only female, and the giantnis rummy Stv3 the redguns, it's pretty hard to tell who is who, because there are 6 of them, but there is also g7 hakra, at the most the standing old man is said to be michigan, next to him isnis old rival nile, the leftmost guy with the money could be huahai, the one with the dogtag could be soldierboy red, next to him could be volta, since volta is learning business stuff from huahai, some say the rightmost guy is iguazu that took a beating from michigan. Stv4 the vespers. The phone guy could be swinburne as he is the money transactions guy. Guys hugging is rusty with the studded jacket and okeeffe the pessimist who is friends with rusty and also looks after small guy pater. Female is obviously maeterlinck. And the 3 at their front is hawkins showing frustration on the gjy next to him that could possibly be snail. And the guy who doesnt seem to care from snail's opinions could be freud. Stv5 assassins. Guy hiding could prolly be debt evading nosaac. One of the assassins could be the unnamed collector found dead in grid 86 molten steel tube. And the other could be coldcall Stv6 branch. 2 females one is their operator, and the other is chartreuse. Old man is king. And raven is probably in that ac Stk young walter, carla, walter's dad and nagai
Stv isn't dead, stk is. The one with Carla and the others is an original and stv even points out that Carla looks similar to stk's original 50 years earlier
Woah, didn’t know that
never let them know your next move
thats so evil haha.
but it also makes walter seem even more fishy

I remember before coming out of game see one analysi a journalist that talk about ac6 have no remembering characters 😂.
Walter caring for 621 was the biggest surprise to me going from the trailers to the game.
the game starts off with him saying wake the dog up.

I'm pretty certain that the child in the STV AI sketch is Walter, and it would somewhat explain his hatred for Coral, as it's research essentially killed his mother and drove his father mad

Me reading these comments and being an old raven since 1998 it just makes me so happy to see new people enjoying the series.
Seriously. It's so nice to see this franchise get the revival it truly deserves.
Hey, I'm new to the series, thank you for the warm welcome. It's been a fantastic ride so far ya veteran Raven.
Why does she attack us then and not let us climb on her roof?!
@@belloffields i'm not fully sure, but there's a few speculations:
1) We were acting on our own without Walter's authorization - so from a strategic standpoint, Carla had lots of reasons to assume we were hostile to her forces and her, it is her territory anyway and we were waltzing in and shooting her forces up randomly.
Spoilers for chapter 5:
Reading all the lore makes it basically certain that these are their identities.
Them having successfully colonized the moons of Jupiter then going intergalatic makes sense
about the screams of the coral weapons, the firekeeper sounds absolutely shocked when we fight the coral powered spider

@@MyUniqueHandle. good to know!

S rank is entirely about time taken vs payout. And some missions give extra payout for killing mechs. And you lose payout by taking damage and from ammunition.

Keep at it this game is so much fun once you figure it out
This game is insane. I haven't felt this obsessed with a game in a long long time.
Here's a mechanic some don't know about:
- Melee blade cancel: right before you pulse or laser blade extend, press the QB command and you will cancel the attack and dodge.

@@phantomarchlight8849 ok, but that doesn't mean much, for all we know ALLMIND could still be the one sending them against you.

night fall helmet visor go down whenever you do AB. if you use AB and then land quickly, then turn your camera to face the front of your AC, you can see the visor and it put away animations. very cool
My favourite detail is how the head with the wide ‘ears’ has to fold its ears in to fit in the garage
Such an amazing game.
Swinburne? This HAS to be SOME kind of "Patches" character!!🤘😀
Fun fact: The person who voices patches in prior games now voices Walter.
in one of the first missions where you just shoot some LC and chopers, if you fly to the end of the arena theres a small passage where one of those robots that have encripted coms lies atop some wrecks, i cant remember if it gives you combat logs or anything but there is a comment from walter
I found took a scan and found a AC with a combat log and could not find out how to get to it until now, thanks to your video.
I love the jab at AI art with the sketch artist.
Good point I didn’t think about that
Walter is the boy, it's stated that assistant 1 also loves 'building' toys in another data log, along with the scientist hoping she'd help him smile.
Well her faction are coral junkies so maybe she ingests coral and it probably slows the aging process.

Coral is basically the Lifestream from Final Fantasy 7
If you pay attention you can see the visor changing after fights, in the garage, and during assault boost. Sometimes the core may be in the way

The visor is on the back of the ACs head, you can see it when examining your mech in the garage.
Also if you look at the head in combat when you overboost and recover from overboost you can see it quickly flip.
You can see the animation of Nightfall visor. It's before the battle with Raven in ''Defend old spaceport'' mission.

You also get a hidden part from the chest so it's always good to get all these things.
There are 2 coral generators and they do change the effects of your assault and pulse expansions.
Fun fact: some mad lad actually beat the game with fists and kicks only
For the visor, it’s visible in game during hard enemy fights. You can see it retract after the mission is done
I've platinumed every Fromsoftware game I can get my hands on. This one's going to be hard.
Loving the magma caverns theme
Great tips, especially that quick turn!
2:00 Fun fact, the Double Trouble chainsaw also has a similar shield effect
oh wow, I've used it a lot and never noticed that.
If you spin your camera around after boosting or target locking, you can actually see the visor flipping back into place
Actually cool secrets. nice to see someone not just click baiting. instant sub.
Sounded like I heard the Kenshin eng actor and Dabi from Myhero too (which these guys have done tons of roles those r just what I can think of atm.) Was cool to see them able to cast some more well known voice actors.
fun fact that visor is animated.... if you activate assault boost with this head on the visor flips down and gets back up after the assault boost ends
EDIT: Re-read the log in question about assembling toys and it was one of the assistants and not the child assembling the toys, which does add credence to Carla being the assistant in that picture. Not sure how the stolen valor factors in to this though
I was under the impression that Carla was a child at at the time of the Institute and Fires of Ibis.
That 90 degree turn in charge is very useful, thanks.
You can play it 3 more times and you will have more choices during NG+ playthrough. There is more to experience.
It is not over until you reach the stars.
Fun fact the Flail, Chainsaw, and Dual blade all have 40% Damage Reduction. So if your revving your chainsaw or goin for that dual blade hit there’s damages reduction :))
good video thank you for having a solid breakdown with no frills
The sketches.
Stv1 is the RLF, dolmayan embraced by freddie. The kid feeding an eccentric looking man is little ziyi and rokumonsen. Big guy is dunham, the guy he's talking to is uncle flatwell. Some people suspect the jacket guy is rusty, seeing his jacket has studs in it
Stv2 is the RAD, brute is the scrawny guy, carla the only female, and the giantnis rummy
Stv3 the redguns, it's pretty hard to tell who is who, because there are 6 of them, but there is also g7 hakra, at the most the standing old man is said to be michigan, next to him isnis old rival nile, the leftmost guy with the money could be huahai, the one with the dogtag could be soldierboy red, next to him could be volta, since volta is learning business stuff from huahai, some say the rightmost guy is iguazu that took a beating from michigan.
And the other could be coldcall
Stv6 branch. 2 females one is their operator, and the other is chartreuse. Old man is king. And raven is probably in that ac
Stk young walter, carla, walter's dad and nagai
Stv isn't dead, stk is. The one with Carla and the others is an original and stv even points out that Carla looks similar to stk's original 50 years earlier
