Yes I agree raw content is more natural, music can be intrusive. I know editing is important but I don't know about additional music, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Is Phil , Britains cultural attaché to Australia ? He’s got a wonderful grasp of the English language ,makes me proud to be British … I salute you sirrah!
My god, you can always tell a Brit abroad! Phil seemed a nice friendly guy and i reckon he would lead you astray given half a chance .. Great video again and with you all the way on this venture. Can`t wait for the next one!
Ahh takes me back to last June when I was in Perth for a week. Such a nice great city, not the lights and sounds of Sydney or Melbourne, more easier relaxed pace 😃
How clean everything looks , and no groups of people that are out to well enough said . What a contrast to the UK , where did it all go wrong for us . Have a great time and keep us posted 👍
Well that was a nice change not having any music on it ! Just watching the natural none edited vlog i really enjoyed it ! And for phil 😂😂 hes a character and a half 🤭😂😂 so far so good lee and its only your 1st Perth vlog 🙌🏻👏🏻 hope you enjoyed your pint or two with phil 😁
Looks like you landed on your feet with cousin Phil frum Bradford, what a friendly lad, We enjoyed his banter, loved all that swearing, he must be an old pal of Martins lol. I do love it when people turn it out. Fish n chips, versions are available the world over, but nothing comes close to British F&C except places run by Brits in places like Benidorm or Tenerife.
All Australians constantly moan about the cost of everything. However, as an ex-pat who has lived in Perth for 11+ years now, I can confidently say that the rates (Council tax in the UK) on a larger house on a larger plot of land, are less than half of what I was paying in the UK 11 years ago. Electricity is half the price, as is petrol. My monthly gas bill is $25 (£12.50). Water is approx the same as in the UK in 2013. Meat and dairy are cheaper, but fish is more expensive although not exorbitantly so. Alcoholic beverages are approximately equivalent and there is a much greater variety than in the UK with much of it produced locally. Fruit and veg depends - you just have to shop around. There are perks as a senior - I get free travel on trains, busses and ferries during off-peak hours during the week (i.e. 09:00 - 15:30 and 20:00 to end of service) and all day at weekends and on public holidays). I get a cost-of-living rebate every July. There are also discounts given to seniors (10% or more) in some shops, restaurants, cafes and for various services such as plumbers, electricians and pest control. Suffice it to say I have a much more comfortable life living on my pensions here than I would have in the UK and the weather is better (7 months wall-to-wall sunshine). It isn't totally necessary to have health insurance although advisable to at least have basic ambulance and hospital cover - the public health system is excellent (two hip replacements and an emergency admission for a small bowel obstruction cost me absolutely nothing), but private health cover does help in avoiding waiting lists for elective procedures. Medicare ensures that if you have a GP who bulk bills you never pay for visits to the doctor. As a senior, I get all vaccinations (flu, covid, shingles etc.) free. We also know that all our politicians are idiots and therefore take everything they say, promise and do with a large pinch of salt in full knowledge that the Prime Minister or State Premier today may not be the same person tomorrow. By the way, Specsavers are extremely good and most branches now do audio as well with hearing aids at less than half the price of any other outlets. As for fish and chips, despite what the guy from Bradford said, the gummy shark is by no means the norm, and in actual fact, you will pay more for it. As a norm, the fish is snapper, hake, flathead or barramundi - cod is a rarity as, of course, the cod in the UK is a North Atlantic species so is not caught in our waters as we are on the Indian Ocean except in the South where it is the Southern (Antarctic) ocean. Some of the best fish and chip outlets are the most unexpected - for example Harry's Mega Deli in Armadale where they only cook to order while you wait, and if you go for Hake you get a serving very comparable to a good UK shop. As for Yorkshire tea - yes you can get it. Most Woolworth's and Coles stock it in their British sections.
What a funny trip out this was. You need to get the sober Bradford lad back on to re-cap the night. Talk about a funny watch. Couldn't stop laughing. It was like watching a designated driver trying to get his mate home. Keep up the good Aussie vids.
Perth looks really exciting. Phil from Bradford was amazing. The previous video of the flight made Qantas economy look pretty good too. Nice one my friend!
First video i watched was your trip from london to perth. Now subscribed and loving your videos. What a top bloke Phil is. Says it as it is. Great guy. Been to Perth a couple of times and keen to return.
Wonderful memories as we we're there last March for my cousins wedding, we stayed in Rockingham it's about 45mins outside Perth City. Enjoy your stay down under.
I am finally on the Australian ones :-). Cant wait to see the fish and chip videos over there. Also Australia is basically mirror of uk, they have a barnsley and a wakefield next to one another all linked with the same road names as over here too. All the best Lee
Lee, you are a brave man out and about after such a long flight. You continue to put a smile on my face. Looking forward to the adventures 'down under'.😃
No matter what country you are in you make a fantastic film. Thank you Lee, for making the effort and entertaining us in the this way. Enjoy the warm weather! Snow in Bradford and Yorkshire!!
I couldn't travel that light at all 😆. Thought you'd be wearing your MM t-shirt ? Prices do look reasonable. Part way in and wondering if it is going to end up like the 'How Much!!' vlog from Benidorm.......Great vlog !! Onwards........
Few recommendations of places to visit; Freemantle, Hillary’s Boat Harbour, Margaret River region (about a 3 hour drive, but full of vineyards for a wine tour etc), Northbridge in the City for the nightlife.
Beautiful city Perth and then you come across Phil - hmmm - what a nightmare! Must avoid early evenings in Perth city centre when I next travel there. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
😅hi Lee. Enjoyed the flight with you! Perth is nothing like I expected. I've never been on a jet! Good to see summer folk in summer clothes .leaves on trees etc I'm live near Coventry..enjoy yourself. Chat again soon John😊😊
Love this video, Lee. Your Tenerife and New York videos are great but they are places you know very well. This series is going to be even better than them because it’s new for you so we’re discovering it together! Also, Phil is quality, more with him please 😅
Good Evening Lee. It was so nice to see somebody from Australia who recognised you. What a great Gentleman Phil was. He was rather Merry and feeling really Happy. What a rather Unique Pub that you both found, The Lucky xxxxg!!!! I really hope you both had a Super night and sunk a few Lagers. Perth looks Good for Night Life and Entertainment Lee. Go and Enjoy yourself. Onwards my Friend. Lets Go.......
Think phil from Bradford was a bit drunk😂😂😂 hope you enjoyed your drink with him. Architecture there looks awesome, love perth already and food seems pretty cheap in the restaurants . Look forward to more videos Lee😋😋
I think it's brilliant you started in Perth. Even I, and I live in Perth, suggest people visit the east coast first because that is where all the iconic Australian things are, you know, Sydney, the opera house, the bridge, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Barrier Reef etc. Your video has changed my mind. I've always felt that Perth sells itself short, it doesn't have the icons that the other Aussie cities have, to be honest a lot of its buildings are 'anywhere planet Earth' but it's a great place both to visit and live in. At least you found the Bell Tower and shot it from the correct angle. Whatever you do don't tell anyone it's only three metres high. Footnote: don't mess with immigration and or customs, they have all the best lines and I don't like the sound of snapping rubber gloves.
Big Phil from Barnsley a big hi from England you lucky person living over there in Perth, I’m envious. For a start the weather is so much better over there even Australian winters are like our summers. Perth such a nice city from what I have seen in previous vlogs. I think Big Phil might have had a few but at least he’s enjoying himself. Extra strong Yorkshire yes please👍🥰
Hi Lee Up in the Northern Suburbs of Perth past Joondalup we have two Great British fish and chip shops. They’re run by Scottish ex pats and the Fish and chips are brilliant! Cod, Curry sauce, mushy peas, pickled onions everything. I’m from South London and would say that they are just as good! Welcome to Perth. Also if you want to see Kangaroos 🦘 At Yanchep park again up in the northern suburbs the Roos come out at dusk. I’m not sure where Phil was from in Perth but 20 minutes on the train north of where you are is very British 🇬🇧 with a British food shop as well. Cole’s Woolworths & IGA all have an English section if you’re desperate for YORKSHIRE tea. I’m always getting Pickled onion monster munch, Quavers, Wotsits Curly wurlys and Cadbury dairy milk. Been her 18 years and loving it!
LOL. My OH is a birdspotter/ornithologist, ibought us both mugs with 'rude birds' on-shag, blue footed booby, etc you get the idea 🤣😂 Enjoy the beers me dears
Absolute classic Lee when you bumped into Phil couldn't stop laughing😂😂 I'm sure you had a good laugh and a few drinks when you switched everything off🍺🍺🍺 keep up the good work mate, just started watching from the beginning of your Australian vlogs👍🤣🤣🤣 no 3 next 👍
lol! When I went to Perth, my first drink was in the Lucky Shag lol! After booking tickets on the Rottnest Express - it was empty when I went so it was a very peaceful glass of wine. - loved seeing Perth again - I loved it there.
My dad Bob (fellow East Midlander) watches your videos but doesn't know how to comment on them! He says you should definitely go and have a look round Fremantle while you're there. He went there about 18 years ago and still raves about the chippy he had!

He was well pissed Bradford man 👨 ha ha.
I love videos with no music just the natural sounds and sights. Makes you feel like your there!!
Your right, the TH-cam music is awful
Lol. 😂 makes me laugh. Lots of people love the music. There's a saying... You can please...
@@TheMacMaster I like Geoff Carters music & sometimes yours but Darren Johns is truly awful
Yes I agree raw content is more natural, music can be intrusive. I know editing is important but I don't know about additional music, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Kind of why I like Twitch, it's live and anything can happen in real time.
Great couple of videos, so much more enjoyable to watch when it’s natural filming and not over doing it with edits and expressions. Keep it simple! :)
Phill from Bratford needs his own channel 😄😄👍👍
If hic you can hic understand hic him.....
Phil was beeeeeeeping great🤣🤣🤣
You've found a drinking buddy for your stay in Perth! What a character!

Gummy shark is called flake in Australia and it's delicious with vinegar and salt when the batter is nice and crunchy and not greasy.
Looks nice, clean and tidy there, unlike the filthy U.K. great video 👍🏻
Lee, your straight vlogs like this are way better.
That was a great video, and it was good your whole demeanour changed once you got off that plane. 🙂
Seems like Phil would be more at home in Benidorm! 😄🤔

8:18 That's London Court. When the clock strikes the hour, St George's comes round on his horse with a lance to fight the dragon. :)
@@nolasyeila6261 … Think the dragon in this case is your new cement faced PM Keir Starmer… nasty globalist commie
Looks like you have found a loose cannon, he won’t remember anything tomorrow 😂🤣😂🤣
Hi Lee glad you made it safely. Have a wonderful time over there. At it looks fabulous. Sharon ❤️
Definitely do More with that Bradford lad Lee…. But fill him with Beer first 😂. He’s Ace
