Kinda agree when I first played Calamity Trigger I wasn't too fond of it... but something lured me in to getting all the trophies, and gotta say whilst gameplay isn't the best, I do kind of like the models and stuff 😊😊😊 good video man will have to play this myself on my channel sometime 😅😅😅

What the hell with the end of ragna? Did he die or why does he appear in the other games? I'm not very aware of the BlazBlue lore.

In Calamity Trigger, the plot revolved around a 100 year long time loop. In 2099, the Black Beast appeared and wreaked havoc on the world. The Six Heroes (Jubei, Hakumen, Nine, Trinity, Valkenhayn, and an enslaved Yuuki Terumi) fought it. This event is known as the Dark War.
In 2199, Ragna the Bloodedge embarks on his journey to destroy the various Cauldrons in each of the NOL's Hierarchical Cities. When he reaches the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi and fights his way through it in the Arcade Mode, he eventually reaches the Cauldron and finds Nu-13. However, Ragna is fated to lose this battle. Nu is a Prime Field Device, and is programmed to merge with the Azure Grimoire, which Ragna has. Thus, her goal is to defeat Ragna and fall into the Cauldron with him. The smelting of a Prime Field Device with the Azure Grimoire in a Cauldron creates a Black Beast, which is then sent 100 years to the past to wreak havoc on the world. That's the time loop in Calamity Trigger, and you see that time loop in Ragna's Arcade Mode.
By playing the Story Mode and unlocking the True Ending Route, due to the intervention of Noel Vermillion Ragna is saved from falling into the Cauldron and Nu dies. The time loop is broken, which leads into Continuum Shift and the rest of the series.

TL;DR: Arcade mode usually just gives a soft summary of the bigger picture, with going thru Story Mode having the true endings.
This arcade mode basically does this:
      1. Ragna has special Arm Power
      2. He wants to destroy the big holes that Robot-Girl came out of
      3. He fails this time
      4. He gets Kebob'd with her into the soup
      5. The soup mixes arm-power and herself to make Calamity, then tosses it 100 years back
      6. This is an endless loop until you play story mode and get the true ending.
The arcade mode keeps it pretty facetious to get you more curious, as it doesn't actually explain 5 and 6 by itself, and doesnt elaborate further than this at all.
