Thanks everyone for watching the run. This was one of my best performances at any marathon. I got within a few seconds of my PB, and after returning home from ESA I ended up getting the world record in this category with 41:18, so I'm super proud I stuck with this game and pushed myself to get to that level. Shoutouts to laura for the commentary, Tali for reading and to the entire crowd for having my back. This was really a special time.
Thats why speedrunners are terrible in someways, sure its impressive to some extent, but they are like speed eaters, when games and food are to be enjoyed not how fast you can cram it down your stomach. Ruining the enjoyment of music/art/story. I only approve of that on maybe old nes games
@@STOP_FAKENEWS eh this is a pretty pointless comment. Nobody should start a game by speedrunning. Speedrunning is almost always done by people who have played through a game and wish to master it. You don't have to read every line of story and dialogue in every playthrough of Castlevania or something to still glean enjoyment out of it.
@@STOP_FAKENEWSthats a braindead take seriously. You dont get to the point of speedrunning games without first playing them normally. 99.9% of the time speedrunners just like the game and want a reason to play it more. How is running a game multiple times on repeat for a faster time speed running the enjoyment of it or somehow "speed eating". Wow spending 1k hours speedrunning sure didnt let them savor that meal. Seems to me watching a GDQ video of a guy speedrunning a game in less than an hour is making your brain think they spent only that amount playing that megaman game. Or is skipping dialogue somehow your problem. Cauae it sounds just as stupid. Both in the current setting of him playing GDQ or as a speedrunner hunting a better time. Trying to sound smarter than you actually are is just sad when you vomit out the first feeling in your brain.
Man, as a kid I absolutely LOVED megaman X4. It was the first megaman I managed to complete, with many trials and errors especially when internet was so limited back then. The absolute JOY of finding those secret armors, blasters, trying those new boss's weapon was such an adrenaline as a kid. Jumping on those mechs for the first time was so cool too. What an beautiful run.
Thank you! I played a lot of classic mega man on wii virtual console but i found out about x4 on the playstation and was just hooked on the music and aesthetics. It's a great game
Correction on Xdive: its not actually new, it was around for a few years. Additionally, unlike most gacha games, there is now an offline version! Actually nonsarcastic thanks capcom from me!
17:23 "now coming up is Web Spider. the stage is cool but the fight sucks" Web spider is the boss I enjoy the most fighting using Zero. while Dragoon fight is the one that I suck at without a mech.
i love megaman x4. My mom brought me to a playstation rental place and this is the game she told me I should play. I love my mom. Can't imagine life without her!!
I like how they're different kinds of Mavericks too. Dragoon was manipulated by Sigma into crashing the Sky Lagoon to get labeled Maverick so he could fight X or Zero, whereas Peacock works directly under Sigma and was ordered to test X's potential, and on the other hand, Mushroom is just a wild Maverick who needed to be taken out because he was attacking anyone who entered the tower. Everyone else are Repliforce soldiers, who, due to stubborn pride, would rather die than disarm themselves and resolve the situation peacefully.
I've tried thats saber slash cancelling. It's hard and i needed to change the controls in order for me to do it. Well done and its more cooler he's doing it with the o.g controller.
I enjoy this game so much when I was younger. I like to spend more time to train my light saber and sometimes took me longer to finish the game. But I just simply enjoy this
What did I just watch? This is my first game when I got a ps1 in 1997 😢😢. The memories! I never played with zero either. This game was so hard as a child lol
I remember when i was playing first Megamen on Pegasus... No Save Mode only xyz point to write... I gwt a fever at last Boss xD the fight was so damn hard! Nice speedrun!
This game is part of my childhood PS1 feels right here I didn’t know I subconsciously jump spin then reverse to maximize the damage I’m doing that just to look cool
I'm impressed how much I forgot about this game. I liked it, I had it. But for me to forget so much things, I must not played so much as I should. wow.
It's kind of insane how even when you first start running the game it's still a very hard stage. As you get better you start pushing your boosts more and more and yea.. it's just never easy lol

Fantastic run, good job! We need a Mega Man X4 video from you now.
Great run, it's rare to catch a special one like that live!
Amazing bro!
Brother your run is awesome, so entertaining and so skillful, keep up the good work
Who is the person beside you?
bro mocked my childhood struggle in 40 minutes straight

@@STOP_FAKENEWS huh? how are they ruining it?
@@STOP_FAKENEWSyou dont speed run games first try though so speed running is multiple tries of the game.

I like how the crowd syncs their lights with zero’s saber
i never would have noticed that if i didnt read your comment lol. thats kinda wholesome somehow
Didn't even notice they were doing it until after that run :)) had a great crowd
I especially love it when Zero does the ice attack 😭 it's kinda cute

진심으로 공감하는 경험입니다. 추억의 감각을 살려줘서 고마워요
Doing the speedrun is hard, but explain every step and facts about the game while is doing the speedrun is even harder. Congratulations
Thanks! I think streaming my attempts get me used to talking while playing. If i need to focus I just let laura do the work though
That web spider kill was so freaking sick!
I can't agree more. damn!
Stumbled upon this by mistake and I stood on purpose . This was my first speed run watch . This was amazing !!!
Thank you my man
seem a couple rruns of another games but definetily this was the best i randomly found too
Love that this game is still amazing to watch for youtube!
Fans in background doing lightsaber in unison is fun
36:15 the sync public lol
I noticed that too lol
BABE WAKE UP NEW X4 RUN DROPPED
It's always wild to watch speed runners utterly destroy segments of a game that gave me trouble for years. Sick run, Ricky!
Randomly came across this video when I opened the app. Stayed through it all. Love this game! Great run!
i love the crowd behind swinging lights everytime zero slashing
Correction on Xdive: its not actually new, it was around for a few years. Additionally, unlike most gacha games, there is now an offline version! Actually nonsarcastic thanks capcom from me!
Oh god I’m so glad I found this video. One of my favorites childhood games! Nicely done all 3 of you and crowd was also amazing ❤
When I was a kid I was famous for finishing X4 in 55 minutes. Now this guy did it in 10 minutes less! Crazy!
I'm impressed how they could host the live stream so smooth.. No easy work, & well done!
sick run, gg
17:23 "now coming up is Web Spider. the stage is cool but the fight sucks"
Web spider is the boss I enjoy the most fighting using Zero. while Dragoon fight is the one that I suck at without a mech.
Loved this run especially since it was live with commentary
You learn something new everday and I had no idea about slash cancel w/ Zero.
This guy plays very well, nice run
Thank you!
35:36 is insane
Laura was so good on commentary. Shoutouts to her, and of course shoutouts to Rixer for the goated run.
Awesome speedrun! X4 is my first megaman game during my childhood, I used to spam Novastrike! lol
had a blast watching ! really enjoyed this game when i was still a young pup
Thank you for your video, brings me back good memories of megaman, X4 was my 1st megaman game.
Congrats on your speed run!
Played the shit out of this game as a kid. Awesome to see it decades later and appreciate just how good of a game it was.
Played and cleared this game multiple times but didn't know we can kill Web Spider like that haha
What a run brother, MMX4 can be generous sometimes ❤️
I don't do speed running games whatsoever, this was the first I've ever watched all the way through. Badass man!
one of my favorite childhood games.. wow this was fun to watch
Don’t know why yt recommended this but so glad it did. Very cool run very cool game very nice people congrats
i love megaman x4. My mom brought me to a playstation rental place and this is the game she told me I should play. I love my mom. Can't imagine life without her!!
those boss intro are very iconic! Loved playing mega man when I was a kid.
I love watching speedrun gameplays.
Makes me think I hope I have this kind of reflexes when playing games.
That’s an interesting coincidence that the first three stages are all three mavericks not affiliated with the repliforce (those with the Sigma symbol)

Have this game on the Saturn. Love it to death.
X4 is so fuccking good, one of my first 3 ps1 games and LOVE it.
You took me back to my childhood, thank you so much!
The crowd is cracking me up lol when they sync with Zero.
I miss this game. I also love the soundtrack of X4
"this stage is so difficult, i probably stay quiet".....proceeds to keep on talking 😂
This game holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first PlayStation game I bought with my own money.
That was amazing!!!
one of my favorite childhood gamess.... so proud to beat the game as a kid.
I've tried thats saber slash cancelling. It's hard and i needed to change the controls in order for me to do it. Well done and its more cooler he's doing it with the o.g controller.
This game was so much fun, especially as Zero. GG

This game has the smoothest Zero gameplay. I love it
Great run bro!!
damn mega man x4 was the best one ever i love it so much
What did I just watch? This is my first game when I got a ps1 in 1997 😢😢. The memories! I never played with zero either. This game was so hard as a child lol
36:00 the crowd making the Ryuenjin deal more damage.
I love Megaman X4, and I love this speed run 😊
That run was awesome
Cool stuff guys
This was my first mega man game that I completed as a kid and it took me weeks. You beat under 50 minutes😮
I remember when i was playing first Megamen on Pegasus...
No Save Mode only xyz point to write... I gwt a fever at last Boss xD the fight was so damn hard! Nice speedrun!
Zero: Ha! Yeah! Yeah! Hu! Hu! Hu! Hu! Hu! . . . . Hu! Hu! Hu! Ha! Hu!! Get ready!
Love how MMX games Are still Relevant after so long
God I loved this game. Played through it so many times. Would love a remakeish for the x series but maybe 3rd person action/adventure style.
such a great time to get nostalgia ❤️
17:28 did the web spider made the Mario64 “YAHOO” sound?
HE ACTUALLY DID.
Nah, it's from the donations lol
The Sigma fight themes are reversed in the PC release. It honestly fits better that way around.
almost 30 years later, this game graphic is still insane!
Almost got that Armored Core Grip going for that button mash to dialogue skip, lmao
Speedrunners maining/mastering my man Zero will always gain my respect 😊
DayUm ~~ I beat the game years ago.,, but this speed run still surprised me😂!
This really bring back memories😊😊😊
nice!!! gratz!
just finished 11th run on this game. I've learn new thing watching this run. I might use that slash dash cancel
Love the guy AND the crowd!
megaman is my jam I remember when I was 5 years old I think I used to skip class just to watch and play X shooting monster.
This game is part of my childhood PS1 feels right here I didn’t know I subconsciously jump spin then reverse to maximize the damage I’m doing that just to look cool
lol 33:43 you finish that General damn quick!!!
that's so fun to watch!
this guy speedran my whole 5th grade summer in 40 mins.
This run is crazzyyy.
so good bro.. i love this game
I'm impressed how much I forgot about this game. I liked it, I had it. But for me to forget so much things, I must not played so much as I should. wow.
lmao the synchronizing from
the crowd is too funny
35:44 whaaaaat the Web Spider, this is insane.
I remember playing this with my brother when we were young. i also play zero only but definitely not in 40 minutes
Did NOT knew you could do that while fivhting Web Spider with the spinning attack.
Great run.
That Jet Stingray stage released all the rage in me trying to complete that in one seating 😆
It's kind of insane how even when you first start running the game it's still a very hard stage. As you get better you start pushing your boosts more and more and yea.. it's just never easy lol
Congratz dude
Wow amazing ❤❤❤
Shout out to the gal who doesn’t run the game but knows everything. 🎉🎉🎉
Yeeeesss, go laura
"Gal" 😂
@@mariosonickirby1 oh no…I’ve revealed my age. xD
@@griox5262revealed your mental illness lol what? Age has nothing to do with it.
I thought it was called Hyperdash, that being said, this was a sick run.
I can play Zero around 1h30m - 2h and X around 3h- 4h. I think that kinda fast but never know we can 35:37 . That's sick
Insane!
Megaman X Dive offline version is available on steam I think. 16:57
I love this game
X4 was my favorite and most played megaman
Back in my day, i could compare this game like dark souls, hard af
