      Yeah I was looking at getting a 3080 Ti for about £1,000 but I can get a 3090 Ti for £1,100. The 4000 series don't seem like a great upgrade except for DLSS 3.0 although even that doesn't look ground breaking considering the whole fake frames thing so I think going for a 3090 Ti at the minute seems like a great option for people who wanted a 3080 Ti or similar.

    If a card is too hot and it gets too loud to stay cool, You can always undervolt it.
    Undervolting the card will allow it to draw less power, however it will not underclock the card. The most performance you lose is max like 1-5 fps but temperatures can drop from 5 to 15 degrees depending on the fan speed you want them at ** lower speed for less noise **

    I have a quick question. could you make a video about used graphics cards/old graphics card. I used to play Jedi Fallen order with a 660ti and a ryzen 3 1200 (PAIN). So I needed an upgrade. Every TH-cam channel just said: "Yeah buy a graphics card for that mutch over MSRP". Than I needed to figgure out what is ok for wich price on ebay by myself. In the end I got a 1080 for around 380 dollars/350 euros/290 pounds. Is that a god deal? If you would do a video about used/old GPUs that you can/should buy you might help other people.
    I apologize for all gramatical mistakes.

    I’m actually really disappointed with the ASUS 3090 Ti. I don’t like that there is a radiator connected to it out of the box, it makes the build look sloppy and seems like you’d really have to cram it in the case, plus I’d much rather make my own water cooled PC to cool it down. I really hope the 4090 is nothing like this or they at least have a 2nd versionz

    • @peppersprayyy
      @peppersprayyy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The point of it coming that way is so you don't have to rip apart you GPU to add the radiator components to it and saves you a bunch of time. Sure you can save you 100$ buying them separately but is it worth it when NO ONE looks are you Computer. Literally no one Cares about the looks of a computer but owner or maybe a YT person streaming a build.

    For the engagement numbers!
    I may grab one of the STRIX cards once we get a more realistic view of what the 40 series has to offer.
    Basically, Unless the 40(90?) will run reliably on a 1200W supply, a liquid cooled 3090 with the Ti add ons would be a cool card to run.
    I mean, presently I have a GTX 780 OC 6GB installed in my new build, so I could spend ~$2000 on a 3090, or ~$2200 on a LC 3090 Ti (if I can grab one at MSRP).
    PLUS, I'd rather mount a Liquid cooled card in a vertical position than an air cooled card, so it would have that extra cool factor for the build.
    But if a 4090 is about the same price, why not get a card projected to be about twice as powerful?
    Either way, I'll pay similar for 40 series, or pay clearance prices (I hope) for the LC 3090 Ti... or they'll sky rocket again. 🤣🤣

    It's a literal waste to buy the RTX 3090 Ti, because you can reach the same or even better performance by shunting the video card, so you can increase the voltage and Mhz for the GPU Engine.
    And, of course, a custom watercooling with liquid metal for the GPU dice and thermal paste with copper plates on the VRAMs and VRMs is best (be really careful tho so you won't have a huge mess to clean up when replacing all that).

    I think we're in a new cycle. Scalpers/miners will get the current upcoming gen (4000 series) at far above MSRP and the average retail consumer will get a chance toward the end of that gen (when 5000 series becomes available) to get it at or near MSRP. Sad but true. I hope I'm wrong but I finally got to upgrade to a 3080 Ti; I originally wanted the 3080 FE at MSRP but even with the dramatic drops the aftermarket boards are going for $200 over the FE MSRP while the 3080 Ti I got was about $30 over (basically at MSRP) and while that's $500 more I was considering the 3090 but those prices are still way too high. My GPU clocks pretty well but I have to have the fans pretty loud to tame it. I prefer a quieter setup and I think I'll be in the market in a year or two for a 4080 with an AIO for boosted performance at a quieter run. Until then I'm very happy after waiting nearly 2 years to go from my 1070 ti to thr 3080 ti. I'll be good for a bit now I think; felt like I was missing out on DLSS and ray tracing a bit in some games. Now it's time to upgrade the monitor! Whatever you decide, have fun and game on!
