TN have decent contrast and color but bad viewing angels , va have the best contrast especially in dark scenes (good for movies and videos) but the color is a bit tint and less accurate among these LCDs. ips have the best color accuracy and best viewing angles among these panels but worst contrast. dark is grey looking and white is oversaturated. ips is the most common choice for a gamers but yeah if you watch movies more than u playing games, i suggest you go for a va. some gamers prefer va cause they prefer better contrast than colors. cause ya for me lacks of contrast can look so washed out in some scenes. also oled monitors is the best monitors panels out there but the price is very expensive and ppl usually dont want to spend their money for oled due to its price and it have a burn in problems. u can search what burn in is from google. overall va and ips is common but beware of some cheap va panel can cause black smearing. @@unseenblade4589

But they are awful when it comes to Hollywood movies They seemed to have be very dark and not super bright but They're are good on gaming and watching cartoons like Nickelodeon, Disney animation and cn So I would choose an IPS monitor over tn va

You are wrong IPS has the same black of VA, only have to decrease to 40% the backlit and increase to 100% the contrast, and the bright between 45% to 55%, color temperture 100% cold in the IPS it is the same dark of VA. Boutht a VA panel and it looked like fog , so much white wash my calling card was a deep crimson blood red on IPS the VA changed it to a weak orange , just imagine what colors looked like in games
Bottom one definitely looks VA to me. Middle one is obviously TN, no questions there. Now, the top one looks ok, but low contrast is a dead giveaway of an IPS panel. So... top to bottom: IPS, TN, VA.
VA is value of money and when any person purchase IPS panel he discounted because IPS panel is low refresh rate like 60hz but va panel 120hz around 8k price😊
This is a terrible test, it completely depends on the monitor, VA usually has higher contrast ratio but it shows the opposite on this video. I'm guessing it's a terrible VA monitor compared to a really good IPS monitor

@@noahw5887 i got an ASUS 165hz ips pannel for cheap as low as 170$ you can get anyth from asus, benq or DELL or MSI. try to avoid Samsung, ACER , Gygabite (avoid this brand on any hardware at all cost) especially Samsung display colors are pretty awful regardless resolution.

I couldn’t stand using an IPS panel for even 30 minutes because of eye strain, I got a VA and couldn’t be happier, no eye strain or headaches ever since. Mine a Lenovo G32QC-30 curved monitor
