I say this because of the episode keeping it together, in which Garnet is horrified and disgusted and what Homeworld has done. I agree with Connie in this comment.
A very lovely story, told through a remarkable style. The fact that it's all black and white storyboard-like drawings is a very interesting method. The music was also well chosen for the scenes, especially that final bit. I love how you showed Peridot's experiences on Earth. From that funny thumb's up to actually having fun at the party. She experiences that all herself: an alien learning to appreciate the simplicities of an unfamiliar world. But despite all this, she's still alone and away from her true home, and you can't help but feel sorry for her. Hope, of course, comes in the form of Steven, who invites her into his "universe". The last images, showing Peridot, Lapis, and all of the Crystal Gems with Steven was very moving, and that last image of the setting sun was the perfect closing shot. Great job, and good luck with your other drawings.
Did anyone else love how at the end Peridot's hair was long and flowing at the end. No longer diamond shaped like it was when she worked under Tue diamond authority. Her hair changed to a more human style, when she accepted humanity as a good cause to fight for.
I really, really love this. Not only is the story clear and touching[made me genuinely tear up], But it all seems like it would be very plausible as the show's actual storyline. I hope they do something like this.

I can genuinely see this coming from Rebecca Sugar herself, and I sincerely hope that something like this is on the horizon. However, sadly it wouldn't simply be a matter of Peridot changing her mind about the Earth. Ruby and Sapphire completely fell apart when Pearl took fusion lightly during the Sardonyx Steven Bomb; Peridot on the other hand has gone far far beyond that. Not only has Homeworld spat on the very notion of fusion, but Peridot has personally overseen the desecration and forced fusion of dead Crystal Gems. It is going to take a hell of a lot more than a simple "I'm sorry, I was wrong" from Peridot to see her integrate into the Crystal Gems :(

I really like the idea of peridot getting help from people off earth and questioning what she is doing.it would be a great story arc to see peridot truly finding herself and finding out more about her past and true desires.

Considering Rebecca and the rest of the SU writers have pulled a bunch of plot twists on us, I think it's possible Peridot could be reformed. -She's afraid of Yellow Diamond. Perhaps Peridot is just with the Homeworld so she doesn't get hurt? -Like Steven pointed out, she never actually met and got to know any humans. And considering Steven is always looking on somebody's good side, he could definitely be a major part in redeeming Peridot. Although, there's a bunch of reasons why NOT she should join the Crystal Gems. Either way, all we can really do is theorize and see what the writers have in store for us.
Rebecca Sugar herself stated that she wanted to tell Steven Universe as a reverse-escapism kind of story. Typically, one escapes the real world to join one of surrealism, and that is called an escapism. However, Rebecca wanted to make a story where individuals from a world of surrealism try to fit into the real world. You played with that concept INCREDIBLY well. This was incredibly heartwarming and emotional to watch. It was incredibly heartwarming to see Peridot immediately get accepted by one of the humans, Onion. He gives her a leg to stand on, both figuratively and literally. She gets to take selfies with the Cool Kids and help Sour Cream with his DJing because of her proficiency with technology. The humans accept her almost immediately. However, even after all of this love, she can't help but cry and feel regret over the invasion from Jail Break. I loved some of the little hints and references you placed in there, some more evident than others. I liked that rehash of "Pretty Great" from Rose's Scabbard. Also how Peridot kept the Crying Breakfast Friends sticker on her leg.
This was really well made, I enjoyed every second. I really do want to see a redemption arc for Peridot too... And I hope it will be just like this ;-)
To be fair, this would have been a good alternative to what is currently happening. Of course it is too early to say considering we are only two episodes deep in with Peridot.
yes peridot used to be different. until she was left behind. But she changes because of a close friend. They both need friendship, they will heal together. All she is fighting for is revenge, she does not know why, but she will understand why she changed, she is known as her close friend.

(by everyone, I meant the fans) However, we later see that she is just one gem lost in a world strange to her and she sees herself as good. Though I doubt Peridot gets redemption, this show is full of surprises and her character has potential too.
I think she does have the potential to be redeemed. She thinks that she is doing the right thing because she was ordered to. If she learns what Earth really is to the Steven and the others, and she has a taste of it like in this video, she may change her mind.
I think we all know this wouldn't actually happen. Even though it's a pretty good canon. Everybody forgets the fact about the cluster experiments and peridots real intentions. But I think it's amazing how almost everyone loves peridot anyway. A lot of people just want everyone to be happy, and together. Just like how Steven wants things to be. It is truly adorable innocent true of heart human characteristic.
And only a week later, Peridot is bonding with Steven and living in his bathroom :) I also get the feeling Peridot is a new type of gem. I don't think she was alive back when the Cluster and the Fusion experiments were first made, or is in any way responsible for their creation.
If something like this happened it would be amazing. People say that she's loyal to Yellow diamond but if she's a new gem she'd probably been almost programmed to follow Yellow diamonds orders. Now she's stranded on earth she has to fend for herself and this is probably why she's become so different since we first saw her. Maybe she'll learn to like being free instead of being ordered to do everything by someone else. And if they don't come for her maybe she'll realize they don't care and that will reform her. I don't know if she'll actually join the crystal gems but I think she definitely can be redeemed

If something like this happened it would be amazing. People say that she's loyal to Yellow diamond but if she's a new gem she'd probably been almost programmed to follow Yellow diamonds orders. Now she's stranded on earth she has to fend for herself and this is probably why she's become so different since we first saw her. Maybe she'll learn to like being free instead of being ordered to do everything by someone else. And if they don't come for her maybe she'll realize they don't care and that will reform her. I don't know if she'll actually join the crystal gems but I think she definitely can be redeemed
