Nespresso Pixie Wouldn’t Pump Water/Airlocked - different trick

  • It’s my first video and definitely first tutorial so sorry about it. Basically, I used a metal straw to force water through the pump while the machine was on. Right when I did that, water finally came out and I ran the cycle a couple times to clean it/make sure it wouldn’t airlock on me again. I tried other methods I saw on TH-cam that didn’t work for me and I didn’t want to go out and buy a syringe, but this worked at the last minute. Hope it helps someone else too :)

    Finally!! I spent hours trying every other trick including some pretty exotic ones. Sucked and jetted water at the valve for 15 seconds and the water started flowing. Thanks for saving my 10 year old machine!

    OMG. Thanks girl! I can’t tell you how happy I am now. I made my very first cup of coffee with my Nespresso Pixie at 2AM haha.
    I spent hours and hours trying every single fix, trick, etc. on TH-cam. Boiling water, tank in and off, air bag in tank, handle pump with a pod, water bag in tank, Saran Wrap and blowing in air with a straw through hole in Saran Wrap, running machine on its side, a few thumps. Sometimes combined hacks… nothing worked.
    I had literally mentally given up already, then decided to search one FINAL fix, if there was one. Found your video. It worked in less than a minute!
    I only had a plastic straw. Blew and sucked the water inlet with the tank off. Then put the tank on and using the straw again, positioned the straw over the water hole, and blew with the machine running. Immediately water came out the spout. Soooo happy.

    I tried this and it didn't work. I called support which ran me through some steps and when that didn't work they said to let it sit for an hour and call back. After an hour it wasn't fixed so I tried some other video of partially sitting the water canister on and that didn't work. One person in comments said he put water in the base where it gets sucked up and pushed it in with his hand, I used a baster bulb and that still didn't work. I tried the straw method one more time and I must have hit the sweet spot because it worked! Thank you. The water looked like it came through a charcoal filter so I descaled and then brewed an espresso. I'm so happy now.

    AMAZING! I worked on this for hours with different methods and made a big mess - bag with air, bag with water, syringe, lift a ton of times with hot water and THEN I saw your video. Used a thick plastic straw with very hot water. Blew hard, saw the big bubbles and BOOM, it worked. Thank you so much! I was about to give up!

    Hadn't used the Pixie in quite a while, surprised to notice it wouldn't pump out water. Initial reaction was to chuck it;; but after a few weeks decided to see if I could find a solution on TH-cam. URIKA! It works again. The plastic bag trick worked to break airlock but like the metal straw trick as well. Thanks guys.

    This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

    Thank you! This worked! I tried the other methods of taking the tank in and out, or putting it back in very slowly but didn’t work. This worked with a metal straw.
    You basically keep a lot of water in your mouth and the straw, and blow it into the opening. You basically force the water in to get the pump going again. Thanks again

    • @valgalpal7465
      @valgalpal7465  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not sure it would work on an empty tank. It needs water ready for when you first force water through, the machine will stay pumping water. Otherwise, I don’t know what would happen haha. In my mind, I imagine it would “suck” up more air and get even more jammed

    So I tried this right, except I used whatever I had which was a glass straw more or less which had a slight bend where I’d soon put my mouth on to blow. I set the straw down the reservoir tank with about a bit less than a half a tank of water in it and I started to blow with a regular breath’s work of pressure. Nothing. Then, I removed the tank and sucked up some water from the hole. I then put the reservoir back on and tried again. Nothing. I repeated the initial step and sucked some more water out (which really wasn’t too much on both occasions) and put the reservoir back on and tried blowing again and THEN the machine started to make a STRANGE NOISE when I set it to pour ! 😫
    -I tried the blow method again, because at this point if its broke its broke, and it did the same STRANGE noise when I set it to pour!
    I thought to myself (and please take no offense) as it was still making the strange sound, that this DANG GIRL made it worse, and now the machine is completely shot!
    As I turned my head and looked away, it stayed on and actually BEGAN TO POUR as I heard the bubbles like gulp up‼️🤯🥳
    Oh no, I had spoken too soon! THANK YOU SO SOOOOO MUCH! I should have never have doubted! For those interested, I have a Nespresso Lattisisma that I just inherited and oh boy was this thing either not in use for a while or severely backed up or something. The machine appeared brand new and wouldn’t believe that it was a dud!
    I’m going to start a descale next, already ordered about 10 coffee pods to try! This is coming from a Breville user so I am used to actually grinding my coffee myself and actually manually making the espresso but I’ve always fancied the speed and convenience of one of these and secretly always wanted one lol I almost gave it away due to space but I made some room for it on my counter 💪😉
    If anyone has some tips on how to descale this thing let me know. I used citric acid for my Breville reservoir and it worked like a charm.
    Thanks again!!

    • @valgalpal7465
      @valgalpal7465  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Funny enough, I accidentally let my machine airlock again so I had to do this again (lol). Basically, you need to force water through the water tank and into the machine to make the espresso. So I thought, how can I FORCE water through this thing? I used a metal straw in my original video, but when I had to do it again recently I used a plastic reusable straw. I say this because normal straws are pretty flimsy and you need something that can actually withstand pressure.
      Use the straw (or whatever you have) to “suck up” water as if you were drinking through the straw, but then literally blow it back out from the straw into the small opening on the bottom of the water tank to FORCE water through. When I had to re-do this on my machine it took me a few tries but it still worked. I think some commenters have mentioned they do it with the tank on or just into the reservoir hole directly without the tank on. I tried both ways. As some people also mentioned, it might make a strange noise but try to keep going. If the machine is truly broken, then there isn’t much to lose but there is everything to gain if you can get it! I hope this helps a little bit and you enjoy coffee soon 😄❣️

    This trick doesn't works. To solve it, only what you need is, put the machine upside down, if is necessary, with the water of the sink, when the machine is upside down, wash the output pipe machine. your welcome.
