- How I unclogged the obstructed spout on our Nespresso Pixie coffee machine, made by DeLonghi. The pump was working, water pumped into the reservoir, but wouldn't come out the spout. Easy fix in 5 minutes.
Hi, I'm from Brazil. This is the most straightforward and helpful video I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you!
This is the most straightforward and helpful video I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you!
You’re a genius, I was getting ready to throw my machine away but I followed your instructions and now it works perfectly. Thank you
Lol, that’s great news!
How old is your machine? Thanks. 🙂
Oops, sorry I didn’t see this till now, didn’t get a notification. My machine is 10 years old.
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Well done my friend ! You saved me from having to go buy new ones.
Genius, short video, no tools, 100% useful
You are a freaking genius, you just saved my 5 year old coffee machine! Thank you, and much love from a grateful portuguese!
That’s great! Mine is 10 years old!
Best solution for this problem!! I have fixed my Nespresso without tools and work, thanks a lot ! very useful video.
I was about to dismantle my Nespresso Citiz (TUR mix TX 170) by looking at how-to videos, when I spotted your short explanation: it just worked and spared me a lot of time. Thanks a lot for sharing!
Great! It’s worked for a number of different models.
After 2 days of wasted efforts and being 1 click from purchasing new pixie ....I found your video. EUREKA!! just like new. You Da Bomb!! Thx a Ton
That's really great, thanks for letting me know. Now always run a little water without a capsule after each cup to keep the spout clean.
Thank you so much! My machine wasn't used in so many years, I thought it wouldn't work any more and get rid of it, but I tried to do this video and now I'm in the couch enjoying a cup of coffee thanks to you 😊
I am so glad I found this video!
My Nespresso Pixie had a only dripped instead of having a steady stream through the spout, and the coffee would come out very watery with barely any crema. Also, I could see a lot of water dripping at the back into the container where the capsules fall after the extraction.
I was scared to do it, thinking I would ruin the machine... But I tried it and now it works as good as new! No dripping at the back and a steady stream through the spout!
Thank you so much for sharing!
That’s great! Thanks for writing this, I enjoy hearing the success stories.
It works! Thank you! I don't know what I would do without my Nespresso machine
That did the trick .Water is now flowing.Thank you 😊
Thank you for giving me the most satisfying 5 minutes of my life. Miracle worker!
What?! Lol.
@@mbertoluzzi watching 10 years of junk come out of that spout was the most fun I’ve had since 1997
@@michellebh oh my goodness, now I get what you mean by satisfying!
Thank you so much… it worked 👍👍👍I’ve been stressing about my machine and im so glad I watched your video ❤❤❤
Thank you very much. You saved me from buying a new brewer.
Thanks. You gave the fix. Nespresso did not have this info.
Right?! So simple, maybe they want us to buy new machines?
Sir you're a life changer ! Thank you so much for the tip you literally saved me time, effort and money so THANK YOU
This worked! It was about to go into the trash before I saw your vid. Thank you so much.
Game-changer, I tried so many things, and this fixed the problem first time!
How great is that! Thanks for letting me know.
I was about to send it for service , I just watch your so informative tip ! I ve just fixed it ! thank u so much!
Like everyone else-thank you! Fixed my Pixie in 5 minutes with no disassembly!
Great news!
It worked for me!!!Thank you so much for the tip!!!
Very useful video. I had just watched one where they took the whole machine apart so was happy to give this one a try. Just like in your video, lots on gunk came out and now the machine is working great. Thank you for your time puting this out here.
That’s so great, I’m really happy to hear it!
Best tip, works great! Beats another video that suggests pulling the thing to pieces. Thanks
It worked! Thank you so much. You saved me from buying a new machine.
Awesome!
Thank you so much for sharing this fix! You saved me from buying a new machine 🎉 Cheers from Miami!
Thank you, I have a 5 year old Nespresso pixie clips and it worked. The cups are getting 50% more water now (tested without capsules).
Grazie mille!!! Salvato un'altra Pixie Nespresso🎉🎉🎉
Mi fa piacere!
Another Nespresso machine brought back to life 🙌
Music to my ears, Brother!
Thanks so much. I did this while waiting for my descaling kit in the mail and it worked! I did not see chucks come out but it still worked!
Great simple fix. Thanks for sharing. I had contemplated disassembling as shown in other TH-cam video's to clean mechanism from the other end which is difficult and complicated to access. Once you understand the basic engineering (or plumbing) involved, it's such an obvious fix. I also used a metal wire to facilitate clearing and unclogging of the nozzle - not sure if this was necessary. I also did a descale as suggested by one of the other comments. Worked for me. Works as good as new.
Haved used the same hack on our KRUPS coffee machine XN3006 and works perfectly well; thanks for a tip 😏
Wow. Thank you. I'm surprised it was an easy fix. You're the man!
Thank you! Your method worked great. I was close to replacing the O-ring. 😅
11 year old pixie red saved by this guy plus the other guys vid using plastic syringe and nose pliers for the bit under the water reservoir - 1. Clear clogs 2. Pump the water at the back 3. Buy a spare machine as these will last decades
I back flushed my machine with hot water as you did, but I then took it out in the garden and back flushed it with the mains pressure hose. It fixed the problem as I had to buy a new coffee machine. . .
Lol, you did an extra good job!
Yea it shot out my hands, tumbled across the grass and hit a tree. I couldn’t find all the broken bits in the long grass.
Bruh!@@stevel1451
Merci beaucoup j'ai essayé plein de tutos mais rien à faire l'eau ne coule pas correctement alors que j'avais détartrer ma cafetière vous avez sauvé ma journée merci encore❤

Extemely helpful! It worked for me as well. Thank you for sharing!
It worked perfectly! Thank you, so much.
Yeps, worked for me! Basic engineering but nicely applied. Thanks !
Thank you brother. It’s back to life!!!
All right!
Great idea!! it fixed the problem!! WOW!! Thank you very much for your advise!!
Hahah i do the same!! I do this along with descaling and it is like new, i have the titanium pixie, Great little machines!
Brilliant. It worked in my case. Thanks for sharing!
thanks, very easy and the problem is solved.
Dude, this works! Thanks a lot for this vid, I was going to take the whole thing apart and you saved me a lot of work! Brilliant ;o)
Lol, really glad to hear it!
Thank you so much for this, it fixed my machine
Fixed my latissima machine too! Thank you!
Lol! Cool!
Ok. I'll try that tomorrow. I've tried the ziplock bag, moving the water container back and forth, opening and closing the empty pod container rapidly--all to get rid of the air bubble that's supposed to be the problem. Finally gave up and went to bed which is when I saw your video. Tomorrow will be 4 days without coffee. 😱😱😱
Thank you for this. I suspect this may be the problem. In addition to the air bubble.

Oh my, you found it, Micah!

Merci beaucoup j ai pu récuperé ma machine
Tres bien!
Worked! Thanks 🎉
Brilliant thanks
Thanks genius
Lol.
Nice
like a charm. Thx!
Thank you!!
Worked!
Hahaha great! But I'm going to be blunt: it seems like you didn't read your whole manual before using the machine and follow the regular required maintenance instructions for descaling and so on. Can't be surprised when stuff breaks when people don't follow the manual. :(
were you running descaling solution regularly and it still clogged?
Did this but now machine is flashing just the espresso light. twice, pause, twice, pause. Once when unplugged and plugged back in it kicked the pump on...but I did not have the water tank on at the time. ??? Did I kill it?
after waiting...now both fast flashing...like descale mode. But holding both buttons down does not exit. they just continue to flash. ???
@@myroccbox8877 It sounds like it’s stuck in some mode. I’d check the manual to see what those flashing lights mean. I think you can restart it in a way that resets to factory defaults.
Did all this cleaning and still no water of coffee comes out.... Motor turns on but doesn't sound quite right.... 2012 Pixie but not made by DeLonghi. Looks similar and just slightly different..... hardly even gets used... I wonder if it makes sense to try and take it apart... I think I am done with Nespresso.... too expensive...
Sorry to hear. If motor sounds off, it might be that. Is water coming down the back into the overflow tray like mine was? It so that would indicate a clog in the spout. If not…
@@mbertoluzzi I'm pretty sure there is no clog. I used your procedure so many times and I never even got out what you did, so I don't think the machine was clogged at all. Two other videos had procedures to eliminate a possible air pocket which was the next potential issue. That didn't work either. I'll try everything again when I develop the patience, but I worked on it for quite a bit of time. Probably something internal. I may take off the sides and see what's in there before I trash it. I'm glad I don't have many cups left.... Thanks.
@@mm-jx7gf Bummer I’m sorry about that. Frustrating.
What happens if your machine has a burning smell
Oo, sorry, I don’t know. Sounds maybe electrical?
Its working on capsule machine of Enzo/all capsule machines? Or just pixie? I have enzo machine and water and coffee not coming out
Maybe, I seem to remember a comment where it worked on another machine. But of course, my technique is only for the specific problem of a clogged spout.
Now it doesn’t turn on after doing this
Oo, not sure what to say. I was careful in the vid to note that I gently tapped it upside down, not roughly, and careful to keep the angle so the water doesn’t flow back into the machine. Maybe let it dry out for a day and try turning on again?
I tried on my coffee machine but now i when i push on the buttons of coffee the buttons not response please help😢
Are you saying it won’t turn on? Doesn’t sound good. Maybe some water got into the machine? I tried to be careful to angle the water direction out. Sorry to hear it.
@@mbertoluzzi the machine turn on, but when i click the button the water not coming out like before, but now not noise of trying, and after 5 seconds i been clicked, the buttons flashing, and i did it carefully, very weird
@@scottpeterson7246 Maybe try a system reset. Check your manual. I’d try the procedure to empty the pump, and the procedure to reset the water level to default settings. Good luck!
@@mbertoluzzi i tried yesterday again. i turned on the machine and just clicked the buttons and no any response. after like 20 minutes of clicked and turn off and on its suddenly make noise and going out water! :) that was little nightmare for 1 day i taught the water was over the machine, but its work now and success to made a coffee, so good tutorial! probably i did a mistake yesterday and some water going on (i have different capsule machine)
