    You do answer people's questions about passive magnetic bearings in a sort of vague way. I think many would look for a more detailed explanation of a passive system. Passively magnetic bearings are limited by their amount of pull and push forces of each magnet used in the system. You pointed this out in terms of weight as in the example of electric companies they are producing power for millions of people they need large systems where the use of active magnetic bearings make sense due to the shear weight of the system in use. Passive magnetic bearings can be used in small applications. For example you will find in many videos on TH-cam about passive magnetic bearings they use a more common needle or jewel type bearing to stabilize the z axis of a rotating system. What they don't tell you is that it can also be stabilized by the use of a tractor beam magnet configuration. But this limits the rotating portion of the system are due to the push and pull forces of each magnet making it so the whole rotor/axle part will not be stable beyond about 5 pounds or so of weight in order to achieve long term stability of the system in use with commercially available magnets. I know many might think free energy but this is not the case less friction means less maintenance not no maintenance. As pointed out in the video magnetic bearings are more efficient but not perfect as many might imagine.

    For the neodymium magnets that can't tolerate hear wouldn't fly wheels be the best way to utilise them? Because the don't heat up if a magnet bearing is used in the system

      all high RPM fly wheels have some type of Magnetic Bearing

      not really as the cost and power requirement is huge they only makes sense in big stuff where removing friction = profit

      what is the use case if there are too much dynamic loading U may not find this cost effective as cost & power draw wont be too high
